Hi Chris! Yes, they sometimes do. I have actually just begun trying packing paper. Because it has a slippery texture, they are unable to grab it. However, it sometimes gets soaked through. To be honest, I have not done adequate research to know which woods are safe in the bottom of their cage or not. I think a lot are NOT.

Cedar bedding is toxic to gliders. Most people use equine pine or fleece mats
