- Hey guys! Was really excited to show you guys this amazing haul I got of vintage teenage mutant ninja turtles! Hope this video brings back a little nostalgia as we go from 1988-1991.

The first release of the turtles had soft heads, but in 1989 playmates gave the turtles hard heads.
No it was still in 1988

I wish I still had my turtles :( . There is a toy store here that only has retro toys. I was hoping to just get Just the regular four turtles. They had April Leo and Donny I think and we’re $45 a piece they had the techno drone and the van in a glass case. The guy workin there was busy with a customer so I didn’t have a chance to ask how much they were. Sad thing is I had them- ah well, awesome collection. Cool to see them. The 1 vehicle with the snakes running thru it was for Ratman.. I had it too, lol
Great video, this definitely takes me back, I loved these figures and the cartoon was great as well! I actually seen some figures in this video that I don't remember at all, like the rock n roll and military ones

@@LeeTwemlow I actually kinda wish I had the rest of my figures I still have like 15 figures the rest I gave to my uncle for his birthday because hes a huge fan of ninja turtles from the 80s I have the technodrome and the shredder that goes with the technodrome and tokar razar and and 4 of the turtles and beep bop and rock steady and a foot soldier that goes with the technodrome and the original party wagon
I've been impressed with the new NECA line of TMNT. Turtles in Time is still growing on me. This video was a nostalgia kick back to my childhood! Love it
I had so many of these and I never remembered they even existed! I miss my Mutagen Man and Muckman!
I have to say my favorite Ninja Turtle action figure was krangs body, and vehicle was the technodrome . Still have it all . I actually still have the original vhs tapes that had the “drug dealers are dorks” add in the beginning lol
Another impressive collection Laura! That guy couldn't have picked a better collector to give his awesome TMNT collection a proper home. I say that his stuff is in good hands. Man this brings me back I loved TMNT growing up!!! My father built my own TMNT fight arena with trap doors Tarzan swings and was so awesome!!!! I cant wait for my kids to get a little older so I can do the same!!!!
Good collection, i think purple belt slash is worth a lot, as most slash figures have a black belt. If Don and Leo have squishy heads that means they are original 1987 line figures
That's is one heck of a purchase, great video bring back all that nostalgia.
This collection is insane. Cant believe you got it all for $50! I wish id find a lot this nice. I had a ton when I was younger. I am about to start collecting next month.
Awesome Teen Mutant Ninja Turtle toy collection
It's a really good thing i still kept my ORIGINAL 1985 TMNT Mikey & Rocksteady toys though one of cousins doesn't remember where their accessories are so he let me have the figures when i was very little and now that I'm a grown 32yo diehard toy collecting nerd i will always cherish them forever. 😁😃😅👍 💙🐢🍕, ❤️🐢🍕, 💜🐢🍕, 🧡🐢🍕 ❤️♥️🌹🥰😍😊

I remember coming home from school and they had diferent shows. One of them was the ninja turtles when they first aired on tv. Then the action figures started coming out. Then the movies . The first ones were the best. Im 45 yrs now.
Oh man, such a trip down memory lane! I didn’t have a huge amount of the toys but I did see a lot of stuff I had: the pizza shooter, the motorcycle, the parachute, disguise donny, water action donnie, the 4 regular turtles, mutating Mikey, etc... I now collect the neca figures but every time I go to a con, I need to pick up at least one classic turtles figure from the second hand bin, just out of nostalgia.
squishy heads were the original. I don't think I got a hard head until 1990. loved the Turtle Blimp. the parachute attached to the turtles with rubber bands. you put the side car on the turtle cycle backwards. not trying to be overly critical. I just had a lot of these figures. you're bringing back a lot of memories over here. thanks. love you.
Looks like that guy's tmnt collection is in good hands. I've always liked the turtles and also had a huge collection from which i use to trade with my friend's. Leo is my favorite of the turtles. Awesome video!

The rubber soft heads are the original, then they started doing the hard head.
I had everything you have in that collection you got except for the van but I did have all those figures that you're missing in my collection I used to have. wish I never got rid of it

Need these guys in my life! Unfortunately I missed out on the 80s (born in 97) but man I know I would've loved these guys! Definitely want to track down the Usagi Yojimbo since I'm a big fan of him and the Turtles!🤘

Omg!!! I had probably 60% of these toys!!! This brought back so many memories! The blimp was definitely my favorite!
Ok I feel old now. I had a large chunk of the figures shown here and I wish I had taken better care of them. The storage shell figures were meant to store the large amount of weapons the figure came with but I remember everything not being able to fit.

Nice collection,never collected the action figures but did watch the cartoon & remember burger king bringing out toys with their kids meals which was quite cool.

this is a really great review. it's also incredibly funny. the figures can be quite frustrating. they never stand quite right and sometimes the accessories and vehicles are a complete pain in the ass. i really enjoyed your review and i hope you are still enjoying collecting.

You probably know this by now but the original release turtles had soft (squishy) heads. So yeah.

The first wave of turtle action figures Featured squishy heads. The rendition that came out the same year got rid of the squishy heads so they are still original turtle figures.

I remember I had one of the samurai turtles but also one where there was sort of a rubber lifesaver on the back to hold water and the figure was basically a water gun. I also had one where you could press the turtles head down then squeeze the legs to make the turtle’s head pop back up again. I almost had that cool yellow and green rv that looked so amazing when I was little but never got one for whatever reason.
The soft head turtles are rare, since the rubber shrinks over time, and they pop off. The fact that you have so many weapons, it’s also rare. Great hall
Ditto to the nostalgia feels from everyone else. Also, squishy heads are from the original line and are more rare.

Not sure if someone clarified the soft heads vs hard heads or not but the soft heads are the older original that came out at the beginning. Just thought I'd throw that out there, didn't want to read through the vast amount of comments to find out though. Anyways great score!!

I'm pretty sure the soft heads are from the first round they released. The harder rubber was more difficult for little brothers to bite off and get choked on.

The shell storage figures come with a ton of weapons. Good luck trying to figure out what is what from the accessory bag.

Stumbled on this old video of yours. I just busted out my personal collection of figures I've had since the release days. The squishy head thing...I am sure you know by now...is due to the run. The squishy head is original runs. I so need to get weapons...but I have a feeling that is NOT going to happen anytime soon since those are so expensive.

In the 1991 wave, you're also missing the head droppin turtles.
And Super Shredder.
The soft heads were for the early part of the line after it took off they went with hard heads.

I was watching this video like had it had it had it I almost had every Ninja Turtles figure but unfortunately I gave them away when I was like 23 to some kid who was about 9 or 10 who loved them and at the time I wasn't thinking about collecting I miss my turtles and one more thing oh God you are the perfect woman
