Great video. I find it funny that people make comments about how you marked the garbage piece. People so negative and obviously these people are not carpenters and work wood everyday to understand regardless of size of scrap a common mess up is tossing wrong piece in the moment as well as your video is teaching. Ignore the jealous haters and good job.
@Tool_Tips very good demonstration of quick tips for beginners. Everyone starts at the beginning Thanks for showing hand tools can be very effective. Do yourself a favour...delete and block all the ignorant people.
Some good tips, plastic container for tools and padlock on bike chain is simple but clever. Personally I would never cut out for a hinge that way though.
I often won't mark it like that with all the lines but I'll put an x to mark the cut off. It helps to remind me which side of the line to align with the saw blade to account for the kerf
20 degree because if they get wet they are still usable also plastic collation nails don’t break as easy as 30 degree paper collated nails. And 30 degree nails you have to put more nails in framing. So if you nailing a 2x4 with 30 degree you have to use 3 nails. With 20 degree you only need two nails.
Between using a hand saw and scribbling over all the waste, the guy is taking twice as long to do his job as he needs to. Then again, this is a good indicator that he doesn't do carpentry for a living, just videos.
Sorry but I don't get the 1st tip. Why wouldn't you just use the triangle ruler with the detail itself, what's the difference? Also the method supposes that the already existing joint is strictly 45 degrees which won't be true rather often.
Clamping a bit of 4x2 to cut with that saw? Taking piss there and the 2nd one? You cut the check out with your teeth? That was enough for me... you aint no joiner!
I've got a project in mind and currently I only have simple tools to do it with I'm looking at putting a square hole through a 2 × 6 And cutting a 4 × 4 down to a true cut 3 × 3 or smaller if necessary
@@DaOne1234 wow you must really be a die-hard gorilla glue groupie, sorry if I hit a nerve but eyedgaf if your little feeling where tickled by my big wood comment
@@franklunt8975 Wrong! For marking for studs or rafters, etc. Yes. For trimming off a small piece that obviously is being thrown away, No! Try again, Jr.
My father showed me all those carpentry skills, came in handy when I served my time as a cabinetmaker.
You’re great at interacting with your audience. Your questions and feedback really make viewers feel connected

Marking scrap is like measuring twice and cut once, it’s an old carpentry skill, great job!
For those of us who aren’t craftsmen, thank you for these tips. I find some helpful things here for stuff you may run across in the home.
I think this is awesome! Some really useful tips and tricks. Thank you
How about using a mitre saw to cut instead of a hand saw.
Whatta? 7:41
Interesting stuff, but hammering a screw?
It beats the purpose of the screw.👎
At 0:52, what holes did the dowels go into?
Yeah draw all those lines on the SMALL section....otherwise youd forget that the part that needs to ve cut off🙄
No harm done. It literally took 1.5 seconds. 😅
Lol 5 seconds in dudes like, ugh what side am i supposed to cut? 😂😂
I'm done with this channel
Ooo. The crow bar one.. gooooood!
Ever heard of a circular saw
Yeah, or a mitersaw.

What would be useful if it could be demonstrated how you achieve such a super sharp wood chisel🤔
If there is a shoddy way to do something then 100% it has been demonstrated here. Surprised the saw is even being held by the handle
Excelentes recomendaciones, gracias mil. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🇵🇦
Why do people mark the scrap piece like that? Are they gonna forget which piece or something?

What is the best angle to buy a frame nailer? 20 or 30 degrees?

Great tips. Thanks for sharing.
Holy crap got to get one of those electric chisel's @ 1:32
I usually just make a simple "X" on the waste side instead of all that scribbling.
Between using a hand saw and scribbling over all the waste, the guy is taking twice as long to do his job as he needs to. Then again, this is a good indicator that he doesn't do carpentry for a living, just videos.
And that's just a 45 degree cut 😊😊
Mitre saw broke?
Perfectoo muy bien gracias x compartir saludoss
When you smoke some good weed , a witty of video like this is very cool

Good Tips
It took you longer to write your pointless comment than it took for that area to be marked. Marking the cut-off is the correct thing to do.
Only if you want to waste time.
How long have you been a carpenter?
Problem is I can do all these tricks, measure 10x and still be wrong
Carpentry for 5 yr olds
There you go somthing to put your burger and frys in..lol

Buy a skill saw
Whoa 🤯
Not done by a carpenter or woodworker
Chop saw or just a saw bro
Everyone thinks they are a carpenter until the real one's show up.
👍
1е видео неправильно, это прокатит если 45°, а если вертикальная будет 60°?

Interesting techniques. Precision, no.
Framing isn't finish work, there are much faster ways to achieve same result
Gorilla glue must pay you to use their “wood glue” in your videos ouch!
I don't know why people make videos like this on UA-cam. There's always going to be some a****** like you. It's always got something to say

Ridiculous amount of wasted time! What is the need for marking the area to be thrown away? Total waste of time!
It’s for a UA-cam video bruh
It obvious you have never done any carpentry. Marking the waste avoids making mistakes. Any decent joiner/carpenter always marks the waste.
