A friend of mine just bought one in Bridgeport there’s still a chance. Get one before the economy starts getting better. Chicago will eventually start getting expensive beyond anyone’s imagination.
Mann me and my buela would always go shopping around there. And grab some mcds on Sawyer and Milwaukee, or go to catch a movie at the theater for 4-5$ lol I grew up on palmer and central park not too far from there. Man the memories
Wow thank u so much to whoever recorded this. It’s bitter sweet. I use to live in that building that’s boarded up 2600 N. Kedzie forgot apt. Number but use to be like old hotel. My mom & I lived in a studio there. Was a crack building someone nearly killed my uncle when they robbed him. I still live in the neighbor hood. I’ve left and Chicago Logan Square will always be my home.
Always wondered what that building was before it became an old folks home. Sorry to hear about your uncle. But whether you knew it or not you we’re definitely living in the middle of one of the most dangerous eras Logan Square has ever gone through. I was young but I remember it well. Crack house on every corner. Gang infested and nearly virtually impossible to walk through once it started getting dark.
Where exactly were you staying? Logan was ridiculously crime ridden at that time. Pls don’t say somewhere on the boulevard because that was the only nice part.
@@alexzais1935 I lived near the intersection of North Sheffield Avenue and West Fullerton, but my comment related to the clip being filmed when I was there and it's proximity relatively speaking, especially as we often headed out on foot as far west as Logan Square as well as ranging in all directions checking out the neighbourhoods. Maybe we were naive, lucky or both, but we never encountered any trouble anywhere.
@@Traveller69 Oh I see you lived right on campus in Lincoln Park. Yea Logan was a no safe zone back then especially the west end and literal location where this was filmed. You guys definitely caught the safe hours of you were walking around. Side streets were the worst.
@@alexzais1935 Yes I was. Seton Hall and then The Sanctuary Apts, I see many changes via Google Street view, as you'd expect after 32 years, but great memories of some crazy days....and nights.
You would of been a millionaire right now if your Dad kept that house.
Like multimillionaire
shit's crazy these days I feel like I have no chance of affording a nice house in Chicago like my parents did
