Very few musicians can be just that, musicians, full time. Releasing an album is a hassle and being a part of a band with several people that all have regular jobs and lives makes it all so much harder. There's a good reason it takes a while for most bands to release a new album.
True musicians do not keep playing the same thing over, and over.. They explore and create new ways of how they can express them selves through their music. And that is exactly what My Dying Bride does. Unlike some other bands that take 2 to 3 years ETC to come out with a new album.
@IronicShortcake Why can't you stop and think: "Hey? The band is 20 years old and they decided to rearrange their previous songs in a more ambient way! After all, why not???" This is an incredible album but, okey, not everyone's cup of doom... Wait!!! Doom is about feeling!!! wowwwwwwww
No. They covered their own songs with an orchestra. We re-wrote our own songs with new lyrics then chopped hem up and re-build them in a different form.
