i find my taste in metal is becoming more refined the older I get. This is an amazing song. It really captures a sense of despair and sadness. Am I weird for enjoying the feeling of being depressed?
Some say if life gives yo lemons you make lemonade. By that logic if life gives you depression, sadness and misery you embrace the dark art like funeral doom that can show the way to find beauty in depression.
That does not make you weird. At least not in the eyes of those who have seen the darkness and learned to embrace it.
Depression isn’t real. Become friends with darkness and everything becomes so bright.
At the bottom all you have is "up". Unless the bottom becomes better than up. Funeral Doom makes me like the bottom though.🖤👹⚰

Doom metal is a surprisingly diverse genre. Candlemass is one of the 'classic' or original doom metal bands. For Funeral doom, like this, try Catacombs or Evoken. Death/Doom bands like Swallow the Sun, Wine from Tears, or Insomnium are definitely worth a listen. They're all a little different.
