1000% agree with Zac about pedestrians/bikers. Technically by law, I believe it's the cars 'job' to look out, but like Zac said, if you're dead or paralyzed, being in the 'right' about the car not seeing you and hitting you, won't really matter, and it's something no amount of lawsuit money will ever fix. Totally agree about both parties having to be super careful!!! I often see pedestrians who don't even look before crossing the street - I shake my head.
Also, Zac Roloff for president 😃

I agree completely with you, Zack, about pedestrians and bikers. They may feel entitled, but what good is that going to do them when they're dead. That sounds so harsh, but it's simply true. Drivers have a lot to look out for, and sometimes even the best of drivers don't see things. We must ALL be cautious.👍

Zach u have sooooo much common sense, I Love It! Common sense just doesn't exist anymore. Talking about the pedestrians & cyclist my dad used to say, "u go ahead & cut in front of a car & you'll b DEAD RIGHT"! I thought of that the second u started talking about it. As drivers were protective, but if ur on foot or on a bike u have a better chance of getting hurt than I do in the car. 🤷‍♀️ Just sayin!

This was so fun, love how Zack got into it. Man idk about the grocery cart thing. When my kids are in the car and if the cart spot is too far away I will find a closer alternative that isn’t going to be in the way. But I just don’t feel safe leaving my kids in the car walking far away.

I am Canadian so not sure if this happens in the US, but someone will rush in front of you in a corner store to get to the cashier first and they are checking 3 million scratch tickets one at a time. (Ok 3 million is an exaggeration) but it sure feels like it. All I wanted was a loaf of bread and a bag of milk and now I have been here 20 min waiting for you, and to boot now you buy another $100 in tickets that you pick out one at a time. This is my ICK and it can literally ruin my day.

Though my kids are grown, I choose to park by the cart return. If an available spot is farther away then the walk is good for me. Either way, the cart return is right next to my car! This works for moms with kiddos or anyone - just park by a cart return as most stores have multiple return spots in their parking lots.

Related pet peeve. When I had little kids, I was always so happy when there were a couple of carts in the cart coral so that I could just put my kids in the cart and not have to walk through the lot wrangling my little ones. Later when I worked in service at a store the norm was to "clean" the lot taking each and every one in. I really wanted to push leaving a few for the people with little kids and got such push back on that.

Lol! Zach I am so much like you at the checkout. I pull my card and store fob out before I even put my items on the belt so I don’t inconvenience those behind me and I push my cart away and then put my card away so people behind me can proceed. I also have in mind what I’m going to order already before I get to a restaurant while my husband takes forever to decide what he wants while the waiter/waitress is twitching with impatience. Many times I’m on their websites checking out the menu while we’re driving there and my husband says oh I’ll just decide when I get there. It’s embarrassing and I have to ask them to give us another minute to decide. All the things you mentioned are exactly how I am. Hehehe!

When I was primary care-giver to my parents and my in-laws, I hated when there weren't any buggies (carts) near the handicapped parking spots. As you age, you will find that you use a shopping buggy more like a walker. I left my FIL in the car one time to run inside to get a buggy. Before I got back, he was out of the car and swaying. He was very frail, but he still liked to get out. And now, at 59, I love when I park in a handicapped spot and there is a buggy within reach. It truly makes life so much easier.

There's a lot to be said for being happy, and if that means we have a few extra pounds or enjoy a cookie now and then as a mom , so be it. All the worry and stress of counting carbs, eating organic, getting in the protein grams, drinking 64 ounces of water or more, taking supplements, getting 10,000 steps a day. Who can be happy doing that dance everyday!

I’m with Zack on so many, as a cashier I get triggered by someone not having a wallet out, doesn’t know if going pay cash or card, waded up money that they give you in multiple folded dollars, staying on speaker phone and talking while in checkout. You can get off the phone for 2 minutes. It takes so little to have respect for cashier and fact they are very busy and are trying to satisfy others too. Just be thoughtful of other shoppers and employees.

Tori you look fine don’t listen to the negative people out there you have not let yourself go. You’ve had three kids which means you’ve had three C-sections and that’s never easy to get back in shape after that but you do need to quit talking over Zack just saying girl, but I do love the both of you

Yes I always use the far stall and I never take a stall directly next to someone if I can help it lol

I once heard that the first stall is the least used so that’s the one I now always choose.
I have family members who chat up the waitstaff like they are their therapist - telling them EVERYTHING about their lives. It makes me so uncomfortable! God bless all service personnel who have to face my grandfather.
Sorry Tori, I’ll try to do better at saying hi on an airplane next time lol. I’m definitely a “sit down and don’t acknowledge the other human 2 inches away” kind of person 🙃

Since having my first infant I have always parked next to the cart return. My youngest is 6 (oldest is 14) and I still park next to a cart return out of habit.
