I have the same Tonneau cover that I took off of my 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor that I installed onto my 2024 Ranger Raptor. I too had to do a little adjusting to get it to sit right but it fits. The only thing is I haven’t bought another gasket seal for the back where it meets up to the tailgate. If you find the material to do it please post a short video on that installation.

i got an awesome quality weather strip off of amazon that i put on yesterday. I tried the crappy foam stuff from Lowes and pulled it off immediatly after installation. and ordered this a.co/d/0cPSNLKw if the link didn't work, just copy and paste this into amazon search 'ESI Front Rail Seal 6ft EPDM Rubber'. it works awesome and i'll add a short video of the fit. it was a bit more expensive than the stuff from the hardware store but the material is extremely good and it sticks really well! It even came with an adhesive promoter pad that you put on the surface after you have cleaned it with alcohol.

It’s self adhesive and you put this on the actual lid part or on the tailgate itself?

it had some really good adhesive on the weather stripping itself and it had a little foam spongy thing with adhesive promoter that you put onto the surface that you are sticking the weather strip to after cleaning it with some rubbing alcohol. It looks like it will do a pretty good job of keeping rain out but i'm sure there will still be some leaks... much better than the huge (1/4") gap that was there with the crappy weather stripping that was on the tonneau.

Nice! I am tempted to do the decked stuff but waiting a little bit to do your old cover. I did learn that we got bunch of Eibach stuff in the works (lift kit, arms, leveling kit etc) and a MagnaFlow catback coming very soon (thanks to the guy that took his truck to them for scanning / R&D). Borla and AFE are still waiting on their truck, if anyone is around SoCal, hit em up (Ian @ Borla is the guy you wanna talk to).
Still planning on doing the Raptor Assault? I just did the very first class, it was great! The truck is extremely capable of doing things. Baja courses was a tad small/short but still hella fun! Instructors were absolutely great, they pair people for 1 truck (unless you bring a guest), I got super lucky as my pair, who was just a phenomenal guy so made the event even more fun. J, if you read this... Gratz on your promotion thanks to the program, maybe it'll help dodging flipflops.

I had the decked system on my gladiator and I don’t think I’ll ever get that again. It limits what you can put back there. I will say that it keeps everything in the drawers bone dry but it made the truck bed unusable for me with my bed rack and roof top tent above it. If I wanted to move a box I had to put the tailgate down and strap it there because it wouldn’t fit on top of the decked system and under the rack. They have made a lot of improvements since then though so maybe the new system fixes a lot of the issues I had. When I took it out I had a bunch of rotting leaves and stuff stuck up in the front of the bed that I couldn’t clean out with the system installed. Glad to hear the assault school was fun, I can’t wait! Just 2 and a half weeks away for me! Cheers

@@flaberdoopin Thanks for the heads up on the decked system! I will do more of a due diligence before I get one if I do then. I think you were going to do some running before or after it, so best of luck with that too! Assault school will be fun, we got luck as it was 70s and sunny. So prep wisely with weather in mind when the time comes and you'll be golden!

Hey hey! Looks familiar 😂. $200 is a bonus. The T rails for a tent will hold way more than 200lbs. The roll up style tonneau cover is very inconvenient. My Tacoma has that style and I hate it. My F250 I bought the cover you have seen I did pay $1300 for the Retrax One on the F250 so your cover for $200 is a great value! Your small bed is the only disadvantage. My bed is 6’10 so the space I loose with the Retrax One isn’t so invasive.

yeah, the roll up left more of the bed available but i like the retractable a lot for security and convenience but it is a bummer that i lost so much bed space!

What happened to the first Tonneau cover?

I have it in my garage, I couldn’t turn down this deal and I was super curious if the previous generation tonneau would fit on the new trucks. I looked at the hardware online for the new version and it looks similar, just longer with more space so when it is for sale I’ll buy that hardware and replace my made up ones.

The cover does seem pretty nice especially for the price you got it. Only thing that is a negative would be the room you lose in the bed with it.

Yeah, the loss of the room is a bummer for sure. My truck bed tent won’t really work anymore with this tonneau sadly

Question on bed covers. Do I need to buy the ford bed rails if I buy a cover? Or do most covers come with all necessary stuff. Thanks

Every tonneau cover I have seen has all of the required hardware to mount the cover on the bed with no additional pieces required. If you buy the specific tonneau for your vehicle it will come with the rails, mounting hardware and the cover itself.
