I was born and raised in the town alot of great memories came from that town miss you friends and family moved away but still keep those great memories with me always
My mother and her family are from Berwick. But when my grandfather got a job down here in Philly, they moved down here back in the 40's. I was also up there for our family reunions four times in the last decade; in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016. The one in 2016 was for my uncle's 50th anniversary of his ordination to the Roman Catholic priesthood.
Wow. You drove right past my grandparents' house on Central Avenue. I always loved that house at 211. My grandfather built it and I have the original blueprints because I may build it for myself someday. Thanks for posting the video and sending me down Memory Lane.
Have had ancestry in this town and the surrounding townships since the late 1790s. Remembering the pioneering Whitmires, Bowers, Remleys, Sitlers, Varners, and Fenstemakers.
Watching 👀 from the "other" Berwick on the opposite side of the planet 🌏, the most populated Berwick in the world, Berwick, Victoria, Australia 🌏 pop:47, 674 (2016)
Berwick is west and north of the anthracite mining region. The Susquehanna Valley region, where Berwick is located west and north of the mining region became an area focused on light manufacturing and farming, rather than mining. For many years Berwick High School was one of the high school football powers of Pennsylvania, I believe at the AAA level although I believe that their prominence in football has lessened in recent years. This trip was in Columbia and Luzerne Counties.
I grew up in shickshinny. My dad worked at the forge where he had a train accident. My mom worked in berwick and shickshinny, holding 2 jobs. My brother and I went to school at garrison elementary school in shickshinny. We moved a long time ago. I still remember the northwest rangers basketball and berwick bulldogs football. Seeing that road through town brings memories.
Me and my wife are looking at this town for a possible place to move with our kids. How is it? I heard there was a high crime rate. Can everyone verified it?
Hello! I'm a native of Berwick! I just moved back in to my hometown and I can tell ya foremost... Yes there was a point of where the town had an unfortunate great deal of issues with drugs and assaults. However as of late, the local police have been VERY busy on keeping crime at bay so yes it's going down but still a good, friendly place to live in
Shout out to everyone that knew when the CVS was a sunco gas station

You went right past Sub City. You should have stopped and got a sub. Or stop in at Cricket's for a cold one.
I remember Cons card shop, ball field, ect in the early 90’s. Heard that town turned into a shit hole. Haven’t been back in over twenty years.
I love to have breakfasts at MAYS, I am from Long Island, New York. My parents live there, but, they got stuck in El Salvador.
They closed it a few months ago 🥲
