Dudes, I was 17 in 1967 and and trust me, The Doors took the world by storm. Every girl wanted Morrison, and every guy wanted to BE Morrison.
He hadn't slept in 36 hrs, due to scheduling and this was the Isle of White concert. The other person singing is Ray, he did that often as background or to cover Jim 😁
That was Ray singing background.
Not only does he play the organ and sing background, he plays the Bass with his left hand. It's a Fender keyboard bass and it sits on top of his Vox keyboard. Genius.
I saw The Doors in the spring of 1967, it was the very first concert I attended. It was a life altering experience.
That's Ray chiming in on your left ear. He's playing the organ.
So hypnotic! Amazing performance by Ray - it looked like he was the one adding to the vocals. Their dreamy, improvisational style definitely leaves you wanting more. Thanks so much for sharing this one guys!! 😎
He often had to because Jim was so stoned.
When he was high no one knew what he would do,not even 😂jim.
Bros, you'll love their "Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar)" !!!
I have seen The Doors Live 🚪 and I have seen Steppenwolf live. Both concerts are unpredictably AMAZING!!! You guys are gonna love it!!!
go into more detail.... how good were the doors in comparison to the great bands of that era.... did the doors & morrison in particular stand out as something really unique and special live as the legend portends??? .... would be interested in your takes... your a lucky indiv.
I concur: more specifics, please!!
Heck yeah, great pick guys!! Jim Morrison and the Doors do it for me every time especially live, although sometimes Jim can be all over the place (too high) while performing😊 His voice is sooo cool and the band is in a league all their own. Love your honesty as always with your reactions. Thanks so much for posting this one🧡
They blow your mind in a good way.
Been feelin' that way since before I was old enough to know what getting high was. Older brother had the original album when I was in elementary school, they've been altering my consciousness ever since.
I recently saw ROBBY KRIEGER, the guitarist, at a concert. IT WAS AWESOME!!!
He still tours.
Good choice!
I used to sing this song in my band back when this was new. Loved it!
This song is a jam!
Thanks for finding this gem. We totally understand why Patrick wants to hear more of their amazing playing.
Doors were first band described in the press as "PUNK" 😎🎶😎🎵😎🎶😎🎵
Totally agree they could have extended some crazyass jamming on this live perf.
The moment Punk appeared I was “OMG the Doors were proto-Punk.” -anger & alienation was a bit ahead of its time, tho Jefferson Airplane was there too: check their song “Volunteers of America” it fkg rocks 😁
The Oliver Stone movie The Doors is actually really really good -you’ll love it ✊🏽
I saw the Doors live and met Jim Morrison! I was 14 or 15 a total "teeny bopper"😅 I'm sure he didn't even know where he was 😊
Thanks for this! I’ve never seen this clip before. Love the Doors! ☮️❤️😎
You guys have to check out their track called "The Soft Parade" its something crazy
Ray was singing in the background. He did backup vocals during most live performances. If you like this version, check out this song live at the Felt Forum in NYC, second show January 17, 1970. Best live version ever
Brothers! Somebody has to do it...why not you?
Who's going to react to the complete, live "Celebration Of The Lizard"? If you've enjoyed Jim's dark, heavy lyrics....
Let's just say anyone who's enjoyed Doors radio hits owes Jim this listen.
EDIT: The Absolutely Live LP version is sublime.
Agree!!! Let’s hope they see your post!! (Maybe they have, I’ve been away from the channel last two months)
Im looking forward to watching your reaction to one of my favorite Doors song -- Waiting for the Sun --- Love singing this one while driving my car
That was Ray saying higher.
Love how slow they start and by the end they're jammin' 😤
The girls went crazy about Jim.
Excellent song, excellent reaction! Someone else mentioned Alabama song (whiskey bar) Some day you will react to that… I will look forward to that…you will love it! Thanks guys! 😀
Keep up good music😊
Ray Manzarec sings in the background.
When you listen to the Doors you really need to do whole albums.
Bros react to the Beatles song Oh Darlin Paul's best vocal performance
keep it up guys.... your the most consistent go to reactors on the doors. you get them.... they are a unique band indeed. in fact, you get them or you dont. in turn, they have a bigger share of haters (even from musical peers) than other super star bands. I chalk that up to your point about their uniqueness & singularity.... this is in an interesting live version of the song... I think the dead cats, live version is the best, but this is still an important performance. its their last filmed live performance & one of their very last times on stage w/ jim. it was also in front of a huge crowd (their bigggest) & jim had to sing after a long fly over to europe, 2 nites of little to no sleep & the fatique and stress of a court case he was in the middle of. its why he energy level is lower in the first half of the song. but he kicks in & ends strong & throughout the song, his voice is strong & point on.... hope to see you guys get into songs like wasp & not to touch the earth.
DOORS HAVE A GREAT SONG LIST!!! HAD NO BASS, BASS PLAYED ON KEYBOARD😍😍😍
live 1967 !! can you believe it
J'avais 18 ans !
George.. .you look like Tony Stark of "Iron Man." Patrick look like Matt Murdock of "Daredevil. "
The Doors Rule ! Bro's
Great reaction Bros!
Boston's Smokin' is my equivalent of a do not crank the volume & drive song! Lol
You should react to it next time you guys hit Boston again.
Good Vibes from the Upper Left, USA!
you guys would like "A Country Boy can survive" by Hank Williams Jr.
🙂 You should check out Scott Weiland's live guest performance of this song with The Doors. Scott crushed it, IMO 🙂
Is the keyboard Ray Manzarek who sings
Me gustan mucho sus recciones.
Reacciones a Light my fire live estoy seguro va estar buenisimo!
Guauuu the doors the cast the rast rock and roll
You are great Broos, I aprishieit your comments and I like to watch you. I really like The doors, they have very good studio recordings but unfortunately only a few good live performances with Jim Morrison as a singer (for example black/white short TV performance it has a good sound). But If you really want to go in more sensitive and deeper perspective of the doors music, I recommend to watch first their best documentary called "When you are strange", in which Jonny Deep is a narator. After that movie you will be more trilled when you listen to them. Also a really good performance live is with singer from The Cult, you will find it if you searching The Doors of 21. centuries. My recommendation for the song from The Doors that you can react is for example is Five to one (live version with the singer from the Velvet Revolver Scott Wieland). :)
...try Santana "Soul Sacrifice" (live at Woodstock Concert)
Hi there, they reacted to this song (live at Woodstock) in December 2020 - great reaction! 😊😊
People are strange, my favorite by the Doors
The guys have already reacted to that song, great reaction to a great song! 😊😊
super
THE PRETENDERS - DON`T GET ME WRONG
I don't think this is from 67, Jim didn't have a beard then. I think this is from the Isle of White 1970 concert movie.
Great reaction! I've always been a big Doors fan. Have you reacted to Celebration of the Lizard. It is its own trip! Thanks!
Colleen, you brat! When I suggested "Lizard" to Brad & Lex you gave me the thumbs down!
🤣
It's all good. I gave ya the up-vote. See you at the next reaction. LOL!
@@rlwetz4317 I'm sorry. I didn't know that Brad and Lex had done that many Doors songs. Patrick and George seem more into the Doors vibe. I think they would appreciate it a lot!!! I wasn't trying to be a brat, lol.

"Celebration Of The Lizard" is out of bounds because there's just nothing to compare. Even a Pink Floyd or Yes suite never lands on patches of bare poetry. The "Nights In White Satin" poem is more of an epilogue. So no matter the reactor, there's a chance "Lizard" will miss its mark. Brad, for instance, isn't going to know what to do with all the abstract, erotic, exotic imagery---so you're correct about that. He's literal. But Lex? She has an excellent intuition around figurative, metaphorical connections.

Are you watching Airplay Beats, too, by any chance? Very Broaction-like. 👍
Please listen to Riders on the Storm.
I like how you said they do it on purpose. Take some LSD and listen yo them and you will really see what they do on purpose
👏👏👏🇧🇷
This was in 1970...not 1967.
Thank you. As a hardcore fan I knew this by Jims beard being grown out lol. I appreciate you for clarifying.
can you guys react to the music video of smooth criminal and you rock my world by michael jackson :)
Hi. Can you react, some day, to Bad Company, The song "Bad company" from the album which the same title. They are very good.
Hi there, they've already reacted to the song 'Bad Company' by the band Bad Company. They're also reacted to the song Can't Get Enough. 😊
Now do L.A. Woman.
Hi there, they've already reacted to this song, great song and great reaction! 😊
The Celebration of the Lizard. As another commenter suggested, you gotta check that one!! The Absolutely Live version.
