I seriously love how straight forward and honest this is and just proves that we dont need 400 dollar Kenwoods and fancy stereos to get some good tunes, cool functions, and a cool radio all together and be happy with it.
I have a 50 Kenwood still the same as the expensive Kenwood
But I like the dual just want change colors not a big deal but I like red to match my car.

If your reception is crap on this stereo try this: unplug your can stereo antennae and put an aux chord (like the one that goes in the front) in the ant port in the back of the stereo....immediatly fixed my reception...don't know why

I spent 150 on my radio and it was a cassette deck albeit a nakamichi head unit and it absolutely blew my old head unit out of the water which was an Aiwa cassette deck that only cost me 4 bucks at a garage sale

Bro I've had 80 dollar Kenwood and 300 dollars Kenwood with a decent system. It all the same man. Or it could be that my system wasn't worth 1500 like my brothers but I saw no difference. Ive had a dual and still sounds good

Just got this stereo installed on my 94 v6 Camry (: seems and sounds great so far aside from the bright lighting that isn’t adjustable (I just colored it black with a sharpie ŁØŁ) and the usb feature not working properly. Sick video man!

Do yous till say the same thing today? Mine ( with the CD player ) was a POS. First the volume knob effed up and then it would NEVER pair unless I would turn the car off, I had to keep my interior lights dimmed or the radio would just turn off by itself, soon as I bought this $20 one, all the problems stopped. The only issue I have is turning my amp all the way up and the bass boost, idk seems weird but it still sounds great.
Shawshank Redemption mine is still going strong... Haven't had any problems with it.

I have it in 2 of my 3 vehicles both are 1999. The Bluetooth on this radio connects quicker than the Bluetooth on my 2022 Subaru
I have it in mine and it works great. Thing has no issues. It’s not too great for hands free calling but fuck it. I also had to get and extension for my antenna cord because it wouldn’t reach. But otherwise I’ve had it for a year and it’s all good
Note : for my car I had refer to factory wiring diagram, and for mine , the red black yellow and white had nothing to do with power supply or ground so be sure use your factory diagram , don’t just match colors , it won’t work .

Way to bright I open it up and changed out LEDs ..
My Kenwood garbage head unit that came with my car shorted out and I wanted to go hella cheap so I got one of these and some 6.5" Sony speakers for the front door and Scoche 5.25" for the rears in my 2006 Impreza. WAY better than stock, and I spent less than $100 total. $20 for the Dual Electronics head unit, $40 for the Sonys up front and $25 for the Scoshes in the rear. Can't beat this head unit for $20.
Only complaint is the damn screen is WAY too bright at nighttime and I can't figure out how to dim it down.
That's my problem I cant see crap. I took black marker and colored some out black so I dimmed it lol
Hey brotha I changed my spark plugs on my 2000 4 cylinder accord and now no radio, only static, but bluetooth works, it's an old axxera just like this one, checked fuse in back of radio and replaced it with a new one anyway
Just purchased this; installed in a Jetta. Played well for a day or so but then it started cutting on and off intermittently. Exchanged the first one, and did it again with the second. Can't figure out the issue, ir find anything online. Any suggestions?

I got one hooked it up and after 5 minutes no sound no matter what I do so I put the old piece of junk in and it plays sound. Maybe mine became defective in some way.😕 The fuse is not blown at all btw.

Hey does anyone know anything about these? I bought it to replace my old broken radio on my car (I believe it has a factory amp), and I bought the harness with it. I connected all the wires by color and turned it on, and the unit itself has power but there is no sound at all. Anyone know how to fix this?
All Geo and Toyota have a by pass wire somewhere ....
mabye check the wiring diagrm for your car and make sure all the wires have no resistance

Brilliant! I am actually looking to put this in a Malibu but mine is a 2006. Funny, but not really, how you use one wireless device (remote) to control the stereo which is running off another wireless device (phone). To someone five years ago, it would look like you are controlling your phone with the remote control.
John Becker I use the remote controller to control the head unit I use my Bluetooth connected phone to control music and the remote wire is to tell the amplifier when to turn on/off.

Sooo I'm pretty damn good with stereos been doing for years. Recently my alpine started getting errors. So I got one of these. Got the quick plug kit and everything. Plugged it in and no sound. I took my door panels off and checked all the speakers connections. All was good. And I even rewired the plunge cause I used electrical tape at first to test. So I went and got butt connectors. And still nothing. I even connected a speaker straight to the wore out of the deck and still nothing. Got new speakers. Nothing. I've never had this issue before.

It's not bad for the price you have to pay for it at all it only goes up to like 43 and sound qualities pretty fair I got the same one in my Dodge Dakota I'm wanting something a little bit louder that pulls a lot more sound so I purchase a Pioneer brand new in the box Bluetooth microphone remote very very nice off Marketplace $140 stereo and I paid 20 bucks for it brand new in the box I'm using the stereo I have now the duel the same one like his in this video I'm making a cooler stereo I got a little 12 volt battery speakers now I'll use this stereo that I'm taking out of my truck for my cooler so it's not going to waste
What'd you do about the illumination/orange wire because I see that these stereo harness doesn't come with an illumination/dimmer/orange wire

I bought a vehicle with this type of radio already installed in it. But there is no remote, he must have lost it. I was hoping to find out how I could Bluetooth this without the remote
Coming from someone who likes bass and is really into stereos, this one is good for your average consumer but if you are really into music I wouldn’t recommend, it’s amp isn’t very powerful and sound quality isn’t compared to the better brands, the eq is also trash, that being said, it’s a good stereo if your not a audio head
Seems Like a common issue: USB Reads the file name but just skips through all of them. It never starts playing.

Just put one of those in my 2006 Nissan frontier and everytime I turn the volume up over 10 the sound gets all staticy and sounds terrible, but when I put the original stereo in, it doesn't do that anymore. Is it the type of speakers in my truck that could be causing it?

Please Help....I have this same brand of car stereo but with CD. I noticed that when you first hooked up the wires you had power but no sound. How did you fix that? ScottandAmy Mo I have all the speakers connected to an amp. I had no sound because I didn’t have the rca jacks that are connected to the amp connected to the back of the stereo. I don’t use the speaker wire on the back of the radio because all speaker are connected to the amp in the trunk. So if you don’t have a amp and your connecting the speakers to the stereo then use a battery to determine which speaker wires go to which speaker. Good luck I hope this helps.
I was just installing this in my RV but my question is do you have to have the blue wire connected for it to turn on and if so where do you connect it because I have an older RV that doesn't have a blue wire coming from it
leahcim thgirw the blue wire is called a "remote wire" it's purpose is to turn the amplifier (amp) on and off when the radio turn on and off. So the blue wire is NOT needed unless you're connecting an Amp. Good luck I hope this helps.

The main dislike I have with this unit is the tuner's weak sensitivity. It doesn't hold onto difficult stations well. I have a 1984 Holiday Rambler trailer that still has the original Panasonic shaft style radio with the analog tuner, and even IT picks up a lot better. The Dual sounds a lot better, though, even for a 20 dollar unit.
I had the same problem and was fooling around with it. Noticed the reception was PERFECT when my antenna was just barely plugged into the back of the radio but as soon as I put it fully in it got staticy AF. I stuck a few different things in there (giggidy) then ended up sticking an AUX cable (like the one that goes into the front of the radio) in the antennae port...and boom...almost perfect tuning....YMMV

Luna Garcia I had the radio output going through rca jacks. The reason I had no sound was because the remote wire from the radio to the amp was not connected the first time. I hope this helps.

When I try to connect I have to put in a code but I don’t know the code and I can’t find it
I bought this and it just won’t work, no matter what I try it won’t pair. I was able to pair with it when I first pulled it in, and when my battery died. But anything after those times it just refuses to put out a Bluetooth signal.
