- On June 21st the night of the NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected Collin Sexton with their 8th overall pick. The 19 year old point guard from Mableton, GA had an amazing year at the University of Alabama averaging 19 PPG & 4 ASTS, and is one of the most electrifying & exciting high school players of all time. The Young Bull is already ready for his next step, shortly after the draft, he got back in the lab with long time trainer, Nick Stapleton. With LeBron James officially making his move to LA, Collin is more than ready to be handed to keys to the Cavs future.

not really... he wasn't a good shooter but from this video it seems he's been working hard..
He shot 33.6% 3pt in college, which isn't great especially considering it was from the college 3pt line, but it isn't that bad. Made more than twice and many 3s as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and a much better 3pt shooter than De'Aaron Fox coming out of college. Also people forget that shooting isn't just 3pt shooting. He has a very good mid range game and not a bad FT shooter.

Maybe Kevin Love can play close to what he did on the Timberwolves being the number 1 option now that Lebron is gone and Collin can be an upgrade at PG. He can take those clutch shots like Kyrie. Once he develops a consistent 3pt shot and becomes more of a play maker then I could see him playing at an all star level. I could see the Cavs sliding into the 8 spot in the playoffs and win around 40-42 games.

Side Note: (this is personal preference) I don't get why all the camcorder guys who record basketball games at gyms like to zoom in SOOO much. I'd much rather see a wider field of view that shows the hoop and the players rather than an up close panning shot that's barely visible and you can't tell what's going on. In this video you are so close to sexton that when he is shooting those warmup shots you are just going BACK AND FORTH, BACK AND FORTH, over and over. It's hard to pay attention. (again, just my preference..maybe take a step back and not zoom in so much) lol

Can’t wait to see Collin Sexton and Billy Preston play in Summer League. I really think Billy’s gonna ball out and show everyone why he was a 5 Star recruit. Cavs have a few missing pieces at SG, SF and C but if they tank this year, they may be able to get a good player like Romeo Langford, Daniel Gafford to play with Sexton and Billy.

I think if Sexton pans out right and K Love gets freedom to play like he did in Minnesota and not have to be what Lebron made him, a spot up shooter, I see these Cavs making the playoffs 7th or 8th seed. Lots of folk forgot how nice K Love was before joining Lebron. Really excited to watch this team!!!
