Great story, Great Couple. Red (Gideon) & Rit (Rizlet) are one of my favorite couples, Their Relationship is well developed through both flashbacks & the ongoing story and they progress very well. they won't get stuck and drag the relationship and progress steadily.
I say the art style doesn't really match the manga version but i know they can't really be super accurate cause the girls hair is much softer and not rough around the edges.

The plot was horrible tbh. He got talked down by one of his party member and then he left his sister like a btch. He had an inferiority complex and chose to leave his only family to a obvious sleazy bastard.

He was a knight captain and a trusted member of the party and yet 1 word from a single obviously distrustful person made him leave just like that. Even if his role is only to guide his hero sister to a certain level. You just dont leave your family like that. Im sure vin deasel would agree.

Just like in dungeons and dragons who would’ve thought the disgraced noble-type could end up being “that guy” and be the scumbag of the group judging on his looks he’s either a warlock or a mage, he’s not scruffy enough to be a rogue.
If you ever read the manga. You will know how much of a coward the MC is. He left his only sister to a scumbag just because he was told he was not needed anymore and he was pulling them back when its obvious that he is the one carrying them.

He prioritizes the benefit of the party being able to not get distracted hence he takes care of the miscellaneous stuff outside the battle. We know this as readers but if we put ourselves in his shoes, we wouldn't notice as the one we'd notice most is how we perform in battle and how we ought to compensate if we're lacking in that department.
just a point to consider. dont put your expectation to high. i learnt my lesson with tsukimichi. not lile it's a bad adaptation or anything, but since i put my expectation too high my enjoyment came as subpar
How is Tshikimichi subpar? Did you expect it to be movie quality? It has been pretty good and from what I have seen from the manga, it is as good of a source material adaptation as you can get. Yeah, it is no JJK but still one of the best of the season.
