I'm thinking it's meant to be a touching callback to a beloved character, but Caroline's lawyer waxing nostalgic to her about how great Stephanie was while she's being sued for negligent homicide is amazing. Even in death, during the lowest points in Caroline's life, Stephanie overshadows her
Caroline is going to be buried alongside her sister and they won't bother updating the tombstone.
That "...too bad it doesn't run in the family" was just icing on the cake.

I can readily believe that Newmie constantly dunks on other characters in his incident reports;

Captain/Chief/Angel Thorpe probably has a whole file full of these.
That "too bad it doesn't run in the family" was so withering it destroyed her ability to be credited in future episodes.
I love how the climax 'gotcha' doesn't actually address the fact that Caroline let a group of boaters drink and drive TWICE.
Something they even admit to.
To paraphrase or quote MST3K, "This has been No Moral Theatre!"
It's always a good day when the Caroline Tea-Kettle Shriek shows up.

I could be mistaken, but if I had to guess I’d say this was around the time she became a main character on Nash Bridges, where she was actually pretty good as I recall. But that was around 25 years ago and dear god I’m ollllllld

@@EnsignRicky011 Yup, Yasmine Bleeth went from "Baywatch" to two seasons on "Nash Bridges" to the single-season flop "Titans". While spiralling downward in a massive cocaine addiction, unfortunately. Thankfully, she didn't fall as far down the hole as noted assaulter of women Jeremy Jackson and recovered. Good for her!

Oh, I'm going to miss Caroline's shrieks of rage.
Then again, it's been years since Eddie's been on the show, and we're still getting nice dunks on that fella!
We can only hope there will be a worthy successor to her legacy in the future.
Gotta love that Stephanie not only overshadows her sister beyond the grave in Caroline's final featured episode, but the subsequent Nights episode has Stephanie's ghost return to overshadow Caroline's regular Baywatch episode exit.
Finally. Next episode, we come full circle.

It's amazing that the only thing more insane than Baywatch's continuity-free run is when they try to do continuity with all the care and delicacy of an idiot trying to fix a toaster by plugging it in and jamming a fork into it.

Lest we forget how they booted Eyebrows off the show with a phony sexual harassment lawsuit from the cast member who replaces him.
And poor Trevor, denied a free sandwich, simply walked into the ocean, never to be seen again.
She's not gone forever. She's just not a main (in the opening credits) character anymore.

Goodness Mitch has a lot of old friends... How did he ever find the time to make friends with so many people in so many walks of life?

This might be the funniest Baywatching ep so far 😂
I guess the mom and lawyer also buy into the idea that lifeguards have police powers, and have the authority to do more than complain at drunks.
After all, it is Baywatch canon that lifeguards are a branch of law enforcement.
Caroline neglected her "lifeguard jurisdiction" for a chance to bask in the presence of Cody's otherworldly sexy abs. Who wouldn't?
But seriously, as a county lifeguard, she had a legal obligation to inform the Coast Guard about the drunk boaters. It's a regular part of her job. And she didn't do it - twice!

7:55 to be fair to Mitch. I fully believe he has a hard time remembering anyone involved in any Save that isn't his. He only remember Caroline was there because he spent that entire week making fun of her for failing the save.

I'd like to imagine that if the case had gone to trial Caroline would've been found guilty and sentenced to working for Mitch on Baywatch Nights.

Where to start:
1) You were absolutely on fire in this episode.
2) When it comes to people remembering Baywatch continuity, you forgot one group: the likes of Tareltonlives and... umm... me who have binged Baywatching so many times we probably remember what happened in the show itself better than the Hoff does.
3) Possessed Mitch's glorious return to Movie Nights! Now with added context (to the extent to which the word, "context," applies to anything else in Season 2 of Nights)! I've been waiting for this one for... oh, God, I just checked when I started watching Baywatching and that's dampened the mood a _little_ but, still... WOOOOOOO!
I am not aware of what is going on with Baywatch lore and continuity beyond what is portrayed in these episodes, and I am okay with that. The ghost dog sister overshadowing her younger is so much more funnier than what these guys could squeeze out per week.

Caroline still shows more genuine empathy over the people she killed than either of the remaining Halliwell sisters!
I’m always excited to see a Caroline episode. I actually kind of feel empathy for her despite laughing at her frustration.
EDIT: I have empathy for the actress AND the character, tbh, so I am not the typical audience member lol

Baywatch aired when i was a young child, so my idea of its female characters (and, sadly, actresses) had been filtered by years and years of misoginy. But luckily, going through baywatching made me really appreciate both the actresses and their characters.
I know there's gonna be newer characters oging forward, but man, i'm really going to miss Yasmin Bleeth and Caroline (and CJ and Stephanie)!

Leave in to Baywatch to take an interesting premise about a lifeguard being held responsible for someone’s death and dealing with the grief of a love and completely piss it down the drain. A good show wouldn’t make the lawyer of the grieving mother in the right for holding the person responsible for their son’s death the one in the right.
Love how CJ acts as if she and Cody had a relationship to begin with.

Neely is around through next season, but she does disappear for a large chunk of it unfortunately. Her plot does get wild though

Funnily enough though, I found there is something where Caroline actually beats Stephanie. I was playing around with Microsoft teams the other day, and I typed Baywatch Newmie in the gif section. Wondering if he has one. And he does! It's only a starring Michael Newman clip from the titles, but Newmie gets a gif! Type Baywatch Caroline and she gets one as well.
But type Baywatch Stephanie and you only get generic ones for the show.
So as Caroline would say 'Hah! Screw you Stephanie! I got one more gif than you! Me! Caroline! I finally beat you at something! Waggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhh!'
