I did not realize just how great the White Tower is as a museum. Spectacular curation of this very very old historical land mark. for a tower so old, the stone and mortar are in excellent condition. The archways are perfect still. Beautiful building and interior. The Royal church/chapel is so grand! A must do! I loved the narrow stone winding staircase with the Elizabethan looking windows. The beautifully preserved suits of armor are amazing - and the designs through the centuries is amazing. The artillery rooms!! Awesome guns, cannons, and other warfare artifacts in the artillery. Great exhibitions there. and the Norman Foundations!! That is awesome looking down in the buried history of the tower building. So that is my favorite part! This was a fabulous video. Loved it.

Hi Luana, yes just so many incredible things to see in just this one part, but a central part of the Tower of London. It's even more incredible to see in real life especially the foundations and cannons. Thanks so much as always 😄👍

I visited in 2008 and whereas now it appears some areas are roped or gated off, there was one part in particular around 7:14 that I think did not have that rope in the way on the left. I had walked into that small room, which very much looked like a small prison cell or room. The tower was not very busy up there and I spent some very quiet moments peering out of a small thin window, and it felt very eerie indeed. I had this strange sensation that I did not belong there and needed to get out. I made for the doorway and someone else shuffled outside which startled me, and I left as someone else entered. A very strange encounter and just interesting that this area now has that "Private" gate and a rope blocking someone going into there.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video as it brings back memories of a lovely trip to London.

Before you I didn't know how much was at the Tower of London. I just thought it was one building. The history is just amazing. I agree with you that you wonder how anyone could move in their armor. I don't know how they got on and off their poor horses 😕 who had to carry that weight and have their own armor 🤔 too. Some royalty had very skinny legs. Those corridors and stairs were so narrow. The chapel looked really elegant and it was hard to believe it was used for storage. Some of the swords looked very long to hold, but they must have been brought up with learning how to be able to do everything. I am very glad I wasn't born then and that I wasn't royalty. I wonder how some of the wives and daughters 🤔 managed with their. I can see why you said you couldn't see the Tower of London in one day.

Thanks Lesley and yes so massive and so much to see. I have worked out there are still 4 more videos to do for the complete tour, except the Jewel house which you can't film. I know that weight must have been incredible and howong would it have taken to walk in those things 😂👍😀
