@motormusique have driven a steering wheel thats made of lets say wood or metal? i havent seen a steering wheel made of lets say titanium or gold or silver. hehe.. so i dont know what ur talking about...
@motormusique BTW, i've rented a mazda 2010 model, guess what, the steering wheels feels like hard plastic too. the interior nothing really special or theyr not made of high qualitty stones like gold or silver. they actually look the same.
@motormusique what are you talking about? this kia forte i've seen in person at a dealer. i could tell that they've greatly improved on every aspects. believe it or not my dads TOYOTA RAV4 2009 model is i think made of hard plastic steering wheels. a friend of mine just got a new HONDA ACCORD. steering wheels feel like hard plastic to me.. thats not even a honda civic. i think most cars interrior are mainly hard plastic. KIA of 5 or 10 years ago i agree has a cheap feeling materials.
I just want to let anyone that ever has to replace the hood hinges for the 2010 Kia Forte EX, that they, after removing the hood, should remove the two bolts (10mm) on the top of the fender after raising the hood., then inside the door there is one (10 mm) small bolt to remove, and outside at the top corner of the fender and bottom of the windshield, pull back the black molding to loosen a bolt on the top of the hinge. Access now is easy to remove the remaining two (12mm ) bolts holding the hinge to the body.
I sat in a Forte at the autoshow. It's safe to say that despite Kia's improving quality, its interior is nowhere near the quality of a Honda Civic or a Mazda 3. Lots of cheap feeling plastics, especially on the steering wheel. I hate hard plastic steering wheels!

I'm glad I own one. But I wish the EX version could come with standard fog lamps.

@jhudso15 Yeah that tends to happen, it has almost 15k on it so its not that new.

the sunroof probably didn't slide open because he opened the vent and didn't know how to close it before it can slide open.
