Well I mean he does have to say they are good to sell them, he’s a business man so of course he’s gonna say the guitar is great even if he doesn’t really believe it. Why would a guitar company say a guitar is bad, that’s just bad for business
I had the cheaper bolt-on version of this years ago, it wouldn’t intonate correctly, and the pickup squealed like crazy, but it was like $180 new. These are apparently made with a lot more quality and effort, it’s got a veneer on the front and back but it’s got the set-neck, proper wraparound bridge and quality p90 and quality hardware. These are worth it apparently, but I’ve always stayed away from anything bolt-on from epiphone, and it looks like they’ve finally done this guitar justice. Also, single pickup guitars have extra rich harmonics, and more sustain. Single pickup Les Pauls and strats are my current obsession.
Your guitar was probably set up like dookie cause mines great although those humbucker pickups are pretty crappy but thats being changed out for EMG HZ passive pickups since I prefer metal and punk rock anyways but as is, my rocksmith edition junior is great
"and there is a lot of neck on this guitar, so its got a lot of tone" o my god what damn nice quote!!! really nice review and playing (as always), greetings from Chile Dagan!
I have a Les Paul and I’m in love with it. Only problem is, I’m 4’9 and very petite. The guitar is 2/3 my size I would say, and it puts a strain on my back whenever I play standing up with a strap😂
Played one a week ago and never been a les Paul fan but this is lovely for the price, the neck is chunky but it’s well made and I think I could be a convert from Fender style guitars it’s great for £300
Just, bought one, its not a Gibson but damned close. I like the dark sunburst better than the yellow of the Gibson junior 2022. very nice guitar for the money !!!
My guitar teacher is telling me I need to just wait until I can afford a Gibson Les Paul, but idk should I just get this instead? I specifically want a JR to recreate a Billie Joe kind of sound and look.
Dude go for it. I'm a big Green Day fan and this gives me all the Billie Joe tones, but it can do so much more. My girlfriend actually got me this beast for Christmas last year and Its currently my number one. I've personally stripped the finish, painted it white, and covered it in stickers, but thats just for aesthetics, so its essentially still stock lol. The only caveat is that the necks a bit of a chonky boi, and it doesn't help that I use really thicc strings (13-65), which is no problem for me as I like fat necks and heavy strings, but a word of warning nonetheless. Overall man, i'd definitely recommend this guitar, as it's one of the best ones ive ever had. You won't be dissapointed.
I would say if you’re serious about playing guitar save up for a Gibson but if you just want a beater guitar to mess around with get the Epiphone. Gibson costs more but they are made with better materials. Also don’t forget the amp is super important with electric guitar. He’s playing this guitar through an expensive amp and it makes it sound a lot better
Guitar seems solid man, maybe upgrade the tuners to locking ones but I’d say this is a awesome guitar but of course play one yourself before purchasing. A solid amp will definitely be the key to making this a guitar to gig and beat on nightly.
I'm a fender man myself but this caught my eye. I own many guitars my number 1 and 2 are both single pickup guitars and they are just beasts to play. 1 is a yamaha with a p rails and it never goes out of tune. I swear to god and my 2 is a Squier 51 I kinda retooled around with a shawbucker thing. You may be on to something with this magnetic thing cause those two sing. I got a plucky tele and a jag and a mustang too which are super fun to noodle with but when its time to get serious I bust out those two. Ive never really care for mahogany one piece deals like Gibson got. The price is kinda an immediate turn off. This seems cool though
picked one up at a pawn shop for $150 barely used! Still had the stickers on it. waiting on my Bugera T5, and building a 1x12 beebox cab while i wait. peace
If that burst was a bit brighter like the Gibson I would have got the Jr. But the TV yellow Les Paul special is my freaking dream guitar so I ordered !
This or Harley Benton DC-Junior FAT? Even shipping only one to the US the HB is cheaper, and I prefer the satin red finish. But I like Epi better than HB in general, and dealing with any issues would be a lot easier. Damn hard choice, and I've been wanting a single P90 Jr for a while.
@@0o0oo0o I still haven't! haha I'm leaning toward waiting to afford a used Gibson. The shipping cost for the HB are too high and I don't really like the veneer look of the Epi. Plus I really like the lacquer on my Gibson ES. I'll probably try some sort of JR syle guitar before deciding.
I bought an Epi Special in the 1990s. Very mediocre and a lot of them ended up 2nd hand in shops. The price of the budget line Gibson Juniors have come down and can now be had for 600-800 euros. Given the inspired line would one be much better off with a budget Gibson or..?
Slightly smaller than Custom or Standard LPs. I just bought one and it was closer to 7 lbs than 9 lbs on a Epiphone black beauty custom I owned back in the day.
Dagan, not all epiphone are good is a miss and shoot game with this brand. You are a great seller but i have to disagree w/ you. If you want a Gibson get a Gibson
Have you tried this guitar? This is a hit. Incredible. Les Paul jr is my main axe. Own a white one and a sunburst. Both Gibson. Picked this up and it plays just as good as them. Anybody interested in this guitar, don’t listen to this. It’s a damn good axe. At this value you’re paying the extra money for a head stock
@Noble Failures i think the guitar feels bad. The tone is all right but the sustain is ass. If you wanna get a low end guitar buy a squier. Or An epiphone les Paul Standard.
Way to support China. The Gibson les paul is an American icon. Buying a epi from China is soo not American and is so not authentic . I rather buy a cheap Gibson made by Americans in America
"My name is Inigo Montoya... You'll love this guitar... Prepare to rock.
The neck pickup sounds amazing
🤣🤣🤣
Dagan, has there ever been a guitar you didn't like?
Probably a 7 string guitar
Not when he's trying to flog them
I love the guitar as an instrument, in every shape and form!!
Much more of an electric guy than acoustic though.
@@DaganWilkin this guitar sounds immense in your hands and it makes me want to buy one!

Don't need another guitar but still thinking must have this one.
If that's the case definitely get the TV yellow Les Paul special for $20 more at $399 instead of $379 for the Jr.
The formula is Y=X+1. X being the number of guitars you already have. It never ends.
My fingers are crossed for sg Jr next year🤞

It's your fault
That’s an entirely different guitar. This guitar is a couple big steps up from the super cheap, beginner model you’re talking about.
Your guitar was probably set up like dookie cause mines great although those humbucker pickups are pretty crappy but thats being changed out for EMG HZ passive pickups since I prefer metal and punk rock anyways but as is, my rocksmith edition junior is great
Wish they had the P90 Jr in TV Yellow
They have the special with 2 p90's and it's awesome !
Rock n Roller to the moon!!! I didn't expect the rocking vibration of the only one single coil would be so huge!!!Perfect!!!
@El Wachin Chancho a p90 is a single coil
@timhoran1638 it's p90 pro, single coils I lov'm

I have a 2011 Gibson Junior. But this video really has me jonesing for this Epi. Awesome🤘!😎
Yeah, been looking at these.
Think I need one. LP Jr. and an Epiphone Firebird. Thanks for making up my mind.🤙

Damn....... I have to get me one of these , it’ll be electric guitar number 10
Picking one up tomorrow..swapping the pup to antiquity clone
You did a great job because I went to buy one after I have watch the video and also the fact thay Brian Baker from Bad religion play a junior
Fun review Dagan!
Les paul jrs are my favorite guitar ❤😻
Love it. Thanks Dagan you rock!!!
Enjoy your channel and reviews. Subscribed!
Thanks Dagan.
Yeah definitely want one
Problem is you can't buy this. I've been looking for it for months. It's always on backorder.
Hey the special is in stock !
It's awesome !
I’m going to pmt Manchester
"Intonation" is an old wife's tale.
Best guitar reviewer on you tube!! Funny guy:-)
That’s my next baby it rocks
If that burst was a bit brighter like the Gibson I would have got the Jr. But the TV yellow Les Paul special is my freaking dream guitar so I ordered !
Just watched a recording of Free live . Dagan looks like Paul Rogers. Was hoping to hear some Leslie West
Yess Jack Sparrow is back 😍😍😍
i just got one myself. its mean. i love it.
Awesome sounding axe
im a little confused as a newbie to guitars, is this a full sized guitar or is it made for kids because its a junior?
Love it!
Great review. Is the P90 an Alnico V or a Ceramic pickup?
*Jared James Nichols enters the chat*
What about for small hands and frame, as a 9 or 10 yr old?Loving look and sound of Les Paul!
Ooh a year ago! Well maybe you’re set now but if no? Go for Epiphone Muse Les Paul-
This or Harley Benton DC-Junior FAT?

Does Dagan shred?

What fuzz RU using ? Sounds great .. But what is the RIG .. ?

They should make a Epiphone SG Junior.
And where can one find this? It’s nowhere.
If there is a guitar that I dont like, I haven't found it yet. And whatever it is that's to dislike, must be fixable.
I found a epiphone les Paul at guitar center near me, is it a scam? it's used and only 95 bucks, it's on the website
I’ve received quite a stir in my nether region over this guitar
"It fits in your hand like an old friend."....😅
WTF Dagan? 😂😂😂
Jokes aside, great playing as always and I want one.
SG jr?
Lonesome Dave and Charlie Starr my favor. Jr. Player.
Careful Dagan, copyright is UA-cam's weapon.
Just got this on Thursday after seeing Green Day last Friday. This thing sounds and plays great.
Really? Is this guitar fit their sound?
@@Sandy-qe1xc yes, its what they use
Hi, I'm a huge Les Paul and sg and I can't think for the life of my what the Jr's have over their older brothers apart from price. Genuine question
It has a different feel....... Because it only has one pick up it forces you to play differently and the guitar is just a whole different beest.
it's a punk rock guitar dude, just to play it with energy
No other available color?
Are juniors bodies smaller than Les Pauls? It looks so small on you
Slightly smaller than Custom or Standard LPs. I just bought one and it was closer to 7 lbs than 9 lbs on a Epiphone black beauty custom I owned back in the day.
@@hanshaneberg270 how is the overall quality ? considering buying one atm ! have fun !
Dagan is a giant; all guitars look small when he plays them.
Brown sound so good lol
Anyone know how he got rid of the p90 hum? I love my junior but it has annoyingly loud hum
Noise gate pedal. Or just face away from your amp that always Helps man
What song did he play on 9:00
Wonderwall
Dagan could sell ice to a Eskimo
Bitchin!
Epiphone kills it nowadays!
The Jack Sparrow of Rock.
#9th thumbs up!
"It fits in your hand like an old friend" - yuck. I better don't ever touch the darn theng
He's got a peanut merchant streak that really bothers me.
Texting and driving kills. Please....stay off the phones. Stay alert on the roads, guys. Thanks!
Plays just like a block of wood

1st
Well that was pretty cringey 😉
Another epiphone junior review. This guitar is on sale in every guitar shop on this planet you try it yourself. This is a waste of time.
Yeah but it doesn't have the same snarl as a Gibson LP Junior and will probably fall to bits within 5 years
Way to support China. The Gibson les paul is an American icon. Buying a epi from China is soo not American and is so not authentic . I rather buy a cheap Gibson made by Americans in America
They’re made by humans in another country. So what?
This is all I can afford right now. I’m getting one to practice on while I save the money to buy a Gibson.
It’s the quality control that matters to the consumer 🤔regardless of where it’s made. Globalisation has happened despite what people may say
Did you type this on an American made computer or phone? GTFOH with that BS
Quality control on Epiphone is so, SO garbage! Skip it and buy almost literally anything else.
I own tons of guitars wish someone would told me about the Jr I wouldn't own all these bought one and love it play it more than any other
