It is the best sounding engine on any modern civil liner :)
ElliotL- CBGSpotter it’s not really modern, but...
YES
YESYESYES
yea, screw all those new highly efficient vacuum cleaner sounding engines, they are boring
Yes but actually most people except of us avgeeks dont like loud roaring engines. They all prefer quiter developed modern engine models and better acoustic insulated cabins. Not only flight passengers but also people which are living near airports.
No engine slung on an aircraft sounds anywhere as good as that glorious buzzsaw "sweet note" of the RB211. Fabulous engine, fantastic noise. Well captured in this excellent video.
It is so fast
omg what a sound will reverberate down the centuries of aviation history
Rolls Royce has a particular talent for making fantastic-sounding engines. The Dart, Spey and RB211 are so different but equally good.
Don't forget the Merlin!
Woah Best RB-211 heard so far 😍😩

Check out this one! Head to 11:28 on that video.
This reminds me of an L-1011 so much. The RB211 is such a great engine.
the L-1011 was really cool considering the time it was built and engineered, and yes, the engine is good.
i will miss this engine painfully wen its gone
RB-211 and the Trent family are my single most favourites!!!
The RB-211 sounds glorious! Feels like music to my ears
The sound of British Rolls Royce RB-211 Engine is really enchanting and beautiful to ears
As usual, RB211 never disappoint!
One of my favourite sounds in the aviation world! Beautiful filming.
Thanks for watching! :)

beautiful sound! if I was on a flight and that plane had the rb211 engine I would listen to it for the entire flight with no complain
I Flew, for 5 years, the B757 with RR Engines. As a B757 / B767 Pilot I can assure you IT IS AWESOME, engine and the B757.
One overpowered, (read - nice) Homesick Angel. 40,000 lbs (+40,000 hp) each engine.Only 2.5 lbs of aircraft weight per 'horsepower' at max. T/O weight.
google
I would like to be a pilot but don't know how to go about it.
My god! Genuine eargasm. You don't hear them these days. I do like the Trent XWB sounds though! Check them out on an A350 :)
That thrust reduction😍
Fantastic takeoff! That's cool that you and another UA-camr are able to get together and travel like that!
Thanks! Yeah I'm very lucky to have made a great friend through UA-cam! :)
Beautiful. The scenery, the sounds, still my favorite engines since the TWA and Eastern L1011's of the 80's
The sound of my childhood 😊
Powerful engine
Beautiful beautiful plane with amazing jet spund and the high pitch tone from the fanblade
The RB211 sounds so good
You never can tell how fast you are flying until you fly through or by the clouds
Flown on G-FCLI myself, and my grandfathers work is in that engine, what an aircraft, what an engine and what a company that makes them
Best memories with the 757
Awesome video, the sound of this engine is legend. How we took this all for granted before the darkness of the pandemic descended on us. We wait for the world to open again.
This and the 747 have the best RB211 roars ever
Absolutely AWESOME, a sonorous symphony by the RB211 engine. I wish you had included footage of the arrival.
took many 757-200 flights from the UK to the Canary Islands and back. Always try and get this seat, the sound never gets old.
Nice. I never flw with 757 but the roar was great.

We were on a 757 to Majorca last year and I must admit, it has become a firm favourite! The 737 this summer felt quite cramped in comparison
Awesome, love the 757 sound, really want to get on one before they go! Liked
Thanks! Hopefully you will, they are still around.....for now! :)
The 757 is a nice plane to fly on, I have flown on it twice
Flew out of there myself in the earliest of 1976.
Beautiful place.
Great sound! Was on a 757 to Majorca this summer and really enjoyed it, thank you for this video!
one of my favorite plane engines by far
Thanks for posting this!! 👍🏻 Love that noise!!
Thanks for watching! :)
Amazing sound! I've been on 3 757s from United (DEN-LAX & SFO-EWR) and US Airways (CLT-PHL). The most recent was a 757-300, quite a long bird! Hopefully they will make something like it again. The 737-900ER can't give you that kind of experience.
I agree, the 737 experience just isn't the same as flying on a 757! I've never been on a 757-300 yet, I want to do that sometime! Thanks for watching! :)
Nice to know I'm not the only one obsessed with these things. :) The 300 I was on was United. Delta and Icelandair also have them. I think United and delta use them for flights to Hawaii but not exclusively
You've captured the sound perfectly here. Great vid
I want one of these in my back garden.the rolls Royce RB211 535c buzzsaws
The best engine from the best!
love it!! my sister was cabin crew for TCX based on London Gatwick.
Then might know her... I was JMC summer crew at LGW on the 757, A320 and DC10 in 2001
Awesome video mate, liked, absolutely lovely sound on departure! :)
Thanks for watching! :)

Can't beat a bit of Derbyshire RB 211 grind
Awesome start to a great trip it seems;) Bring on the LGSK footage!
It was a great start to the trip! Can't wait to share the footage with you all! Thanks for watching! :)
Cruise climb with the RB211 sounds like music.
Liked - great views and sounds!! I think the RB211 is the base for the RR Trent series.
Thanks for watching! Yes that's correct, the RR Trent series of engines are all developments of the RB211 :)
The sound is outstanding! *_* wow, well done! :D
Thanks for watching! :)
oh my god pls never change.your profile picture! your profile pic is cute!

It sounds like it has more speed than in the 747
It doesn't
Mentour documented that the 757 was "too heavy" to compete with A321 or to serve as a total 737 replacement?
It seems to get out of its own way quite expeditiously in this video?
Why would a 737 compete with a 757...
@@cgsdesigns441 It's trying to be one! With tragic results in two cases.
Nice Video man! :)
Thank you! :)
Did you flew together with rachaelmatt?
RIP
Camera used?
Hey this is better than GE90
Is the power reduction at 2:40 controlled by Auto-throttle or by the pilot?
Well in the A320 family there’s something called Climb thrust after take-off which you have to activate in order to get auto thrust working, but in a Boeing I am not sure if it works the same way.
My pc when i play:
They said the condensation was smoke😂
It sounds like the 707 kind of
I can't I hear it behind the engines?
When you're sitting behind the engine, let's say economy class or whatever, you're hearing the compressed airflow coming out of the exhaust, creating that roaring sound effect we hear. The buzzsaw sound effect is what you'e hearing. That sound is one reason why I want to go into first class. Roaring just makes it seem boring.
That is RR
Is the window open? 😂
No sweeter sound!
Sound like my hoover
Two things here.
1. The 757 was withdrawn.
2. TC airlines now bankrupt.
Still nothing wrong with the 757

Copied from shokushin :)
Smilar to a320 CFM
the engines look better with the spiral painted on them
You took this footage from another UA-cam channel.
Thanks for watching! :) No this is 100% my video, I was on the flight and have the boarding pass to prove it! If you're referring to the video on 'rachaelmatts' channel then that was filmed from seat 6A, I was in 7A.
Fair enough
RR sound is worse than a moped ..!! 😆
"Could you guys please be quiet...we're trying to listen to the engine...except for the little one...she can talk all she wants..."
Did you flew together with rachaelmatt?
Thanks for watching! Yes with rachaelmatt and vxracing16 :)
