You’re a bit confused. The Phoenix called Jean “Mother-me” because Jean created the phoenix, but she is also the Phoenix itself. Hope is the phoenix too, but the child of it. Hope sole purpose was to bring mutants back, and create the phoenix which is why Jean created hope. Exodus says Hope goes back to where she comes from and in the book of apocalypse Jean tells Hope “i am the house where you dwell”. The WHR is where Phoenixes are made and the WHR was broken because Jean mind was broken due to millions alive mutants living in the WHR. The whole point is The Phoenix is a paradox. Jean is god, Hope is Jesus, The Phoenix force is the Holy Spirit. “Hope” this helps!💗
I’m a little confused? How can Jean create the Phoenix if the Phoenix force has existed since the previous multiverses?

No, Jean was NEVER the Phoenix, they are 2 completely separate and different beings. It's just that Phoenix likes Jean too much and considers her the only host for it

@@Alhaithamgrey no, it's not. The Phoenix Force existed since the beginning of time (SEE Avengers 1000,000 BC), it's just that when Jean died, it picked her and decided that it prefers her as its perfect host, Similiar to when the Venom symbiote chose Eddie after being rejected by Peter!
The full circle moment! This explains Hope's powers, her background, her motivations, and her overall purpose. Im so glad tht it came down to this and her development has come to a needed conclusion. I really hope Synch ends up taking her place, considering his powerset is basically the same.

Nope, the last two will not be happening. Synch is NOWHERE to be seen in any of the upcoming X-men books, meaning he DIES permanently fighting Nimrod while the mutants trapped in the WHR are going to be STAYING there for the foreseeable future once the new era starts
Except you gotta break a lot of lore to get here. Jean is the white phoenix of the crown the true Avatar of the Phoenix. Why would hope be the Phoenix if that’s supposed to be Jean. Also how could enigma kill the Phoenix force if it’s the representation of all life in the multiverse not just this one? And if enigma is supposed to be this all powerful being why not just erase hope’s mom or mind control her instead of this?
@@shawnboahene5231 I think hope was like a shard of the Phoenix in human form, similar to Rachel possessing the Phoenix. Enigma didn't take over Hope's mom because he wanted Hope under his control so the Phoenix could never reincarnate. I'm assuming 🤷🏽♂️.

The Phoenix thing makes sense. It's a call back to Ednsong and Excalibur, post Jean's death, wherein she became the PotWC and went to gather the PF from all of space and time to ready it for the coming Messiah.
And all the many tie-ins and comics that featured baby Hope having a Phoenix raptor reflex reflected in her eyes. It was always a closed circle.
I totally did not expect them to have the Phoenix being killed and reborn involving the once mysterious birth of Hope. Its like Hope is Jesus Christ and Jean Grey is God, and the Phoenix is the Holy Spirit - they are one and the same like the Catholic Divine Trinity. It makes more sense now why Exodus always viewed Hope as the Messiah. So much symbolism. I also liked how Sinister explained to Destiny how she was so obsessed with preventing Mystique's death that it gave her a narrow vision to her own clairvoyant powers. enigma is Stagnation and Phoenix is Evolution. Too bad the Krakoan Age which also exemplifies mutant evolution is all ending and regressing back X-Men living in bases and doing the same old stuff they used to do before the Krakoan Age started. There is a sad and bitter irony to all of it. This is why I am dropping most of the X-titles once the Krakoan Age ends. I'm not into stagnation and same old, same old.
Same to be honest, Mutants will never escape stagnation they’ll eternally try to keep kiss humanity and earth ass while it amounts to ruin 🤦♂️.
But oh well the Krakoan age did show us that technologically ‘any’ Post Human society are the rightful claimers of the earth not just Mutants so there is solace in that evolution will continue.

@@shawnboahene5231 Unavoidable. The X-Men writers heavily borrowed from Judaism and Christianity and Old and New Testament stuff with characters named Apocalypse, Genesis, Exodus, the immaculate conception of Hope, the death and rebirth of Jean Grey/Phoenix.
Go ahead, but the rest of us prefer to move on from Krakoa as it's overstayed it's welcome. Sometimes it's good to GO BACK to BASICS

Damn! I loved Hope. She helped to flash out Cable and the post Decimation landscape. Also I’ll miss the 5 resurrection with her being the focal. How’s Cable gonna take this?

Not sure now where they are heading rn . Seems like Storm's political career won't go anywhere so they prep her to be the leader of the avengers which is an interesting take ,they mention that krakoa and arrako are done and mutants will be scattered around the world and some nations will make their own teams of mutants while in the upcoming ,,heir of Apocalypse'' series before Apocalypse take his throne he will leave a heir in this world . Gonna wait and see how things play out . I'm curious to see Storm leading the avangers but i think that's scheluded for december if i'm not wrong .

I hope when everything is over they put Sinister in the ground dead with no way of coming back. All versions of him have no benefit but just to cause trouble and grief. There's no way you should come out alive every human, robot, mutant hate some including Apocalypse. He nuked every bridge.

The issue i have is what was legions true purpose here? Like could this not happen at the start and have Hope wasting everyone?
Or is Marvel going to actually do something with Legion and respect him to be as strong if not stronger than the Phoenix force?
Either way I wanna see more Legion other than being just a big plot device
Legion has never been stated to have that level of power iirc.
Unfortunately, that's what Legion's role is, being a plot device as the writers at Marvel DON'T KNOW how to write him properly

Similar to what Phoenix did just recently seeing multiple realities of her self and possible futures and time traveling, legion did just that with less effort(he was not dying) while also not having most of his powers.
I'm not saying he's a concert set in stone stronger I'm saying like Matthew just pointed out, Marvel has use him as a big plot device more and more ever since he gain full control of his powers which is equivalent if not surpassing the Phoenix as shown. Which is bad writing

He faced Uranos to the point where both got bored of each other across mutiple universes for 100+ battles, then proceed to go deal with all the Kaijus simultaneously (as Marvel stated he was the only one with the capabilities to handle a battle that size at the same time while Jean with phoenix force is right there) all while not being at 100% and and u know what they did after that? Oh we will just hide u out with NightCrawler till we write ourselves into a corner again.
Oh look the phoenix needs to be reborn and kick started. Man only if we have someone who can create any power setting just by thinking of it so Hope can minipulate it and defeat the phoenix.

The the Phoenix Force with Jean’s DNA fathered Hope Summers. So she’s technically part of the Grey family. So Cable would be her brother who adopted her as a father.
So, despite never getting pregnant, Jean is mother to Cable, Stryfe, X-Man and Rachel, and father to Hope.
Seems like they want to return to the original Phoenix idea that “Phoenix” is simply just Jean with her mutation evolved to its ultimate potential, and retcon the “Phoenix _Force”_ retcon.
So instead of being a cosmic force that embodies all life, it’s simply Jean at her most powerful, integrating herself into all reality?
No, they are NOT. The Phoenix is a cosmic being and NOT some "ultimate" evolution of Jean's

The Phoenix Force is a retcon that came later, because they wanted to use the Jean Grey character again, and not have Jean be responsible for cosmic genocide.
Search for any interviews by Claremont on the matter. He wrote it. You can hear it from his own mouth.
I think it could technically be both. Time is non linear and once something exists in creation it is always there. Despite Jean not being born until our life time the Phoenix came into being as a manifestation of all psionic energy and life because that's also an expression of Jeans power. Jean can resurrect herself and is the strongest psychic. The Phoenix always existed as a cosmic force but that doesn't mean it wasn't born from a more mortal experience. After all the cosmic beings have stated humanity will one day take their place. Jean may be the first to do so.

Interesting ending as I just picked it up and skimmed it before watching the video. I will say, boy is that going to mess up the Summer's family and will probably need Doc Samson, giving therapy to them. What does it do for Scott relationship with the Phoenix. He's been intimate with Phoenix Jean, when Jean original was in a stasis healing pod, grieving when Phoenix Jean sacrificed herself only to be involved with Sinister Jean Clone Madeline mating and birthing Nathan 'Cable' Summers, then Jean Clone Madeline becoming a demon dying, then Original Jean returns and becomes surrogate mother Jean to Nathan with Scott in a future arranged by Rachel Summers of alternate Jean/Scott world, who survived Sentinel death to live Scott/Original Jean world interfacing her near same age Scott, Jean, Cable, who rescued baby Hope fleeing to the future to escape mutant extermination by Purifiers & Bishop, who becomes Hope Summers or unknown baby Phoenix to be, returning one day as young teen/adult Hope to steal the Phoenix power away from Scott. It is a odd story line that if Phoenix-Jean-Hope are so intertwined as was always to be, then Phoenix-Jean/Jean/Hope are such tied that Scott never cheated on Jean with Phoenix-Jean, as she was always Jean or was that Hope, which sounds almost like incest, which isn't much different from Madeline Jean clone and Scott, as Madeline Jean was Jean, so cheating on Jean with Jean. Scott involved with three versions of Jean, scandalous. It'a pretty funny, Scott's involvement with his female partners in the romance department. In the early days, Scott would have been pegged as the safe guy for most women.

Technically speaking, Jean put a ''spark'' of the Phoenix Force on Louise, pushing her body to ovulate, and make that egg enter into a state of self-fecundation called spematogenesis, which is basically conceiving a clone of herself (Louise). However, this clone was in the process of the development being forged, or rather modified on a genetic level in order to fulfill her purpose. That's why she looks like Jean.

As the fight to takedown orchis was weak they dropped the ball on tony and Emma’s fake relationship and the return of magneto wasn’t really needed they could have used apocalypse to take down nimrod
This is so dumb. They could have made Hope, cable's biological daughter. That would have made a lot sense with the phoenix stuff since it would run in the family. Simple stuff just got complicated smh

Gawd the writing has become so bad. Hickman started something new. The people who then took it over mangled the story to such a degree that it has already degraded the XMen to such a farce. There was so much more that Hickman left open. What I sense is that Disney is setting up something for it's DEI agenda. It started off so good and then got destroyed like children playing with toys. The ending of the Krakoan age is pathetic. This is why comic book sales have tanked. We have children writing them.
This comic was honestly terrible. They could have made cable the biological father. That would explain why she has the phoenix since it would run in the family

Hickman wrote incredible stories. The best by far in decades.
