Oh yeah. He always forgets that part.
Thanks Brian for the advice on the life of a fly line. I never thought about cleaning and dressing the line; will get onto that right away. I appreciate the fact that you're a commercial venture but you don't push your followers to buy, buy, buy.
Thanks for watching. He's pretty successful so he doesn't have to push.
Eagerly waiting for the glasses/switch click is easily a highlight of my day
Thanks for watching.
I really liked the way the set was done up in the last q&a video. It's a tad bit more appealing than the bland blank backdrop
Thanks for the input. Just had it painted and working on ideas for the background. No worries.....we'll make it purdy.
Thanks for the info Brian , I clean and dress my line every time now since the video. I'm hoping to get 2 more years out of it.
I have the Scientific Anglers beginner 5 weight kit.
Good man. Makes a difference!
Great tips, thanks as always!
Thanks for being here.
Great vid as always! I'm going to have to check out a pair of the gloves. There is one problem though. Apparently fall has brought "vest season" to the table and I can no longer see if Brian has a crab or another type of aquatic creature on his Howler shirt.
Thanks for watching. "Creatures" on solids only.....not on plaids. Have no fear, he won't cover up a creature.
@@Madriveroutfitters Oh thank goodness for that. If he covered up the creatures the universe would be out of balance!
Thanks for the informative video. I have the Simms fleece fold-overs and I really like them. They were a life-saver fishing in Utah last week. Great fishing but in the 20’s every morning with iced up guides until noon time!
Thanks for watching. The Simms foldovers are the best.
Using the same in Utah as well, Im having ice in the guides even in the afternoon the last few days! So cold!
Timothy Thompson My last day fishing was last Sunday. Hope it warms up a little. I was out near Roosevelt.
Nothing ruins a nice fly line faster than pond scum. Ask me how I know. Argh!
@@Madriveroutfitters Just like butter. No ice sticking here.
Good video Brian. I guess I need to go check my dads old fly lines from the 70s to see if they're still good.
Let us know if we can help. Fly line tech has come a long way even in the past 5 years or so.
Good honest advice as always
Thanks for being here.
Good stuff Brian as always, been subscribed for a while and just ordered some stuff from your store.
Excellent! Thanks for being here and thanks for the support.
I hear you about not fishing really cold conditions, but the way I see it here in Colorado for fly fishing seasons is ice in or ice out and i don't do ice in :)
As you probably shouldn't! There is such a thing as too cold to fish for some. Others not.
Cleaning/dressing kit out of stock on website. 😠 Hopefully will be available soon😁
Scientific Anglers has been shut down for over two months. Yes....we hope soon.
I know you don’t do questions on social media, but this is one for the whole crowd: if my skagit head sinks (just the tip, sometimes) with a sink tip on, is that a bad sign? It’s a good line (Rio) and it’s only when the current is strong.
wildjohnack Send this to the shop via email or give them a call and they will help you there. Thanks.
wildjohnack Call Ryan at the shop in particular and he will get you taken care of.
Thank you for not doing what most do and assume everyone can afford the most expensive thing. Other videos I watch where they recommend a rod or reel I check the cost and it’s a grand. Ofcourse it’s nice but damn
Although we certainly sell some expensive gear, it's not required to catch fish. Brian does a pretty good job of relaying that. The industry doesn't like it much, but he's honest. Thanks for watching.
I have the Encounter 9' 6W setup from orvis and am curious about finding the best fly line to invest in when moving forward into a more intermediate setup. Thank you for the info!
Feel free to contact us at the shop when ready. We are always happy to help.
Please do video or reference a previous video on cleaning and lubing your fly line. Thank you.

How could I get rid of fly line twisting? It started to tangle when casting the running line during my trip to amazon (tropical short-head line). Thanks!
Please contact Brian or the guys at the shop directly and they can answer you there. admin@madriveroutfitters.com.

So all your product reviews need to be rated by cubes of butter. On to six cubes.
We are changing to smoking plants. Butter is last year. Thanks though.
