What about the main products page? The page that shows all the products.

Hi Lauren, I loved your very straightforward approach. No extra fluff just very helpful and relevant information. Thank you so much! I watch both your Part 1 and Part 2 videos and I do have 2 questions if I may pose them here for you.
First, what research tool do you recommend to use to find out which keywords are most relevant to my business. I am looking for a very easy to use (research tool for dummies) haha...and that also has a free version I can start with. I saw you used ahrefs, is that what you would recommend for a newbie?
Second, I am working on a project to clean up my website. I have found that I have a lot of products that are no longer active on my website (meaning you can't find them through any sort of navigation on the site) but they are still 'active' in the back end of my Shopify store. For products that no longer exist, would you recommend that I just change them to draft mode or should I delete them altogether. My reason for asking is I know that Google indexes the URLS and I am worried if I delete them and someone somehow clicks on a link would it end up going to a broken page? What would you do for cleaning up?
Thank you so much for your time and valuable insight.
    Laura

Hi, thank you so much for your comment. Here are my responses:
      1. You make a great point about ahrefs. It's one of my favorite tools on the SEO market but it may be overkill for beginners and/or people who don't want to add an extra budgeted line item for SEO. If you're looking for a less expensive (but still in depth option), I really like SEMRush. One thing people do is subscribe, do a ton of research, and then unsubscribe after a month to save money.
Another tool I really like is KeywordsEverywhere. They have a Chrome extension that shows keyword volume on any term you search and a lot of their features are free. They also have paid upgrades but in this case you you should be able to do all your research for about $10 max.
If you still have questions about tools just let me know and I'll film another video.
      2. To answer your second question, I filmed a video: ua-cam.com/video/WU6oRT3FBwY/v-deo.html It sounds like the best route for you would be a redirect plugin that takes people from one page on your store to another without any fuss. One nice thing about these plugins is that you can create rules that redirect multiple old/deleted URLs to a single page in bulk.
Hope that's helpful and good luck with your site and brand! (P.S. I love your UA-cam thumbnails. Really impressive. They stand out and really showcase your work.)

Thank you for doing this! Question, should my product description all start with my audience I’m selling to? My company is a Gay Pride company. Im confused! I’m in the process of changing my product titles and they all start with Gay Pride…Gay Pride shirt, Gay Pride beanie etc. Thank you!
