I got a 735 on the shelf collecting dust, maybe waiting for a chance to get on the air again lol. Even has the bottom plastic cover still.

Bought a IC-729 when I was in High School in 1993... Still use it today 😎👍

That is so cool. It’s great when you have “that radio right away that you love.“
Thanks for sharing. I love this comment.

G'day from downunder Larry. literally just bought one of these today $460au with a P/supply, I was putting off buying because prices in Australia are crazy at the moment and there is not much to choose from on the second hand market. It can be very daunting as a new Ham trying to figure out what will do the job and what is affordable. I know from first hand experience! :)

It’s a Great Transceiver! Really good for ham radio operators to learn on. Especially the gift of using your ears to tune in signals!

Man, I do have two of those but I think it has ti bo be recapped. Their both alive but both has no receive and I don't know it has transmit for I still don't have an antenna for it yet. It has been in storage for quite a while since my father inlaw passed away.

    Hello!
Just a fast question, which one you guys prefer, IC720 or IC735?
I might have a chance to get one this week...:)

Audio is hard to understand. You need to change microphones, otherwise good video.

BTW, the audio on your video is awful. You really need to equalize it. I Chromecast it to my Google device on my Onkyo AV receiver and the sound was very muddy. I'm using Infinity RS2B speakers.

You’re right, the show sounds awful. This was an old one LOL I didn’t realize how old it was… Forgive me for that. I’ve changed my settings quite a bit since then. I was having some audio problems at the time and trying to sort them out.
Thanks for watching, sorry about the audio.

@@HamRadioLiveShow sorry I didn't mean to be so negative. I just thought you might want to know so you could correct it. I just bought an old ic-735 from a fellow who is a retired professional radio engineer. He just replaced the light bulbs in the front panel and put it on the analyzer and tweaked it up. Cleaned it up as well. I'm not sure if he replaced the battery inside. I'll have to ask him that. It's to replace my old Yaesu FT-757. Anyway thanks for the video.
