My mother, like millions of other females, made the decision to have their boys circumcised. Shouldn't we have had a say about what we wanted for our own bodies when we were old enough? Babies, born and unborn have rights even if their mothers are selfish. When a person murders a pregnant woman, they're charged with double homicide; one for the mother, and one for the unborn child that had a right to live.

Even before I was married I HAD to start taking birth control for health reasons. I have irregular cycles where I have no cycle for a few months then have a cycle for a few months straight and I get sick to my stomach, I can't move because of the pain, I get weak because of so much blood loss. As soon as my doctor put me on birth control and it started working I had so much relief and could live a normal life with regular cycles.
Without birth control I could die and am at risk of developing cancer or cysts. Cysts on the ovaries are common in my family and so is cancer and I've been tested for both and thankfully because my doctor got me on birth control in my early 20s it has lowered the risks.
Ugh, I'm so sorry you went through that. I had to get a Mirena to stop my period when I got into perimenipause because I had cramps so bad even vicodine didn't get me out of the fetal position. There are so many reasons for BC that don't include avoiding pregnancy, although that is important also. I've never understood why there are companies that can not include birth control in their health care packages but will still include Viagra. It all seems unconstitutional to me, but then again women aren't explicitly protected by the constitution. So sad!

As a “Domestic Supply Infant” I stand by and support abortions so children do not have to suffer the trauma of infant adoption, and being reduced to nothing more than a commodity!
One argument often made is that if the mother doesn't want the baby she can give it up, but, as I'm sure you've experienced, every system I the world for taking care of children the parents can't provide for is severely lacking, partially because they aren't funded enough

There are still today in 2022 problems with married women not having creditworthiness as fully as their husband when their spouse’s name is listed first in shared property. This affects access to credit as well as better rates on insurance.

Great job Alyssa! I am so glad I watched your video. Even though I am 57, you gave me some insight on things I of which wasn't aware. I am stubborn and independent WOMAN who refuses to be CONTROLLED by ANY man. In so doing, I have been subjected to some very extreme abuse at the hands of men in my life to the point of literally almost being killed. I am one of the luckier ones to have survived this abuse but it has come at a very great cost. My emotional, physical and psychological trauma has caused irreversible harm to my life. I have PTSD, DEPRESSION, ANXIETY AND WILL NOT BE INVOLVED WITH ANOTHER MAN. I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO BE SINGLE FOR MY REMAINING DAYS AS OPPOSED TO BEING TREATED LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN. Science tells us the life of a mammal starts at fertilization. Mammals are classified into species. That would make an unborn child a member of a species... Not a canine or feline species - but OUR species. And the only current member of our species is the human being.

I would have died without one. I had just started to recover from surgery for ulcers. I barely survived. My husband was poisoning me with arsenic. His father had taken life insurance policies out on me. when that didn't kill me he knocked me up while i was all doped up on pain meds. dislodged my drainage tubes. i would have been torn apart. it would have been a horrific way to die, with my husband and father in law watching with glee. my grand daughter's 4th birthday is today, I'll be there. they won't. karma already dealt with them. the state of arizona refused to.

I'm ashamed to be a woman in America because men are able to get snipped with 1 appt other than your own signature & nothing has to be done. Yet a woman like me currently living in Utah with no kids at 34 cannot get it done unless I've had at least 1 child, am over 30 & they even have to have a partners or parents signiture. I'm also from Texas so I am ashamed of my own state & the people that run it. I continue to lie to people with pride, when I say I'm from New Mexico because I never want to be known I'm from a red state.

The "first breath" concept is based on Genesus 2:7. It reads:
_"Jehovah God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul."_
People suggest that this verse means that a person isn't alive until they breath their first *_physical_* breath.
But the verse doesn't say, "When Adam breathed his first breath he became alive."
In other words, people have confused God breathing life into a formed human with a human taking their first physical breath.
Not to mention that this verse is related to the creation of the first human being who was formed as an adult male, not as one conceived in a womb.
It's pretty lazy thinking all around.
But we've got to have the discussion on if a growing human life can be considered a person first, don't you think?!

@@Hertz2laugh Your take is biblically inaccurate as well. Exodus 21 defines the penalty for killing a person, negligently or otherwise, as death. However, Exodus 21:22-23 cites that the penalty for inducing a miscarriage is a fine.
Regardless of whether you uphold the mosaic law or not, Exodus 21 implies that since inducing a miscarriage is not a capital crime, it was not a homicide and a fetus is not a person.

What state are you in? I'm in FL & have never heard of such a law. It really sux for a woman caught in an abusive relationship to be pregnant & not be able to escape for the sake of her & the fetus

The credit card thing sounds like it's out of 1674, but it's out of 1974, unbelievable 😐
I remember it well. My Mom and Dad owned a successful small business, which was incorporated and they individually owned equal shares. Before the law changed, she went into the bank that handled their corporate and personal accounts. She applied for a personal credit card, and she was turned down. She was told she needed to get her husband to sign the application for her to get the card. She asked if her husband, who had the exact same amount of assets and income, could get a credit card without her signature, and as she expected, the answer was “of course”. BTW, Dad would have had no problem signing the application if Mom had wanted him to. Mom went back and forth with the bank employees and management for a few days, and then she walked in and told them that they could approve her application or she would be closing all of their personal and business accounts and going to another bank. She got her credit card. I was barely a teen at that time, but she made sure that I knew what was happening, and she made it a point to tell me that women who are in a position to make positive change need to step up so that others who are not in such a position can benefit. Mom is no longer with us, but I will never forget the lessons she taught me - she always practiced what she preached.
