  • 🌾🙏 Welcome to Traditional And Authentic! Today, we are celebrating the Nagpanchami festival, a unique and important tradition in Maharashtra. This festival is dedicated to worshipping the cobra snake and praying for a harmonious relationship between nature and humans.
    Our Celebration:
Join us as we delve into the rituals and customs of Nagpanchami. My wife and mother perform the traditional snake worship, offering prayers for the well-being of both nature and humans.
    Special Recipes:
Patolya: Made from the unique Havla breed rice, these delicious steamed parcels are a true treat. Watch as my wife and mother prepare this traditional dish with love and care.
Ingredients: Havla breed rice flour, turmeric plant leaves, grated coconut, jaggery, ghee.
Method: First, we steam the rice flour in hot water. Next, we prepare the sweet filling (saran) by cooking grated coconut and jaggery in ghee. The steamed rice flour is then wrapped in turmeric leaves with the sweet filling inside. Finally, these wrapped parcels are cooked by steaming, resulting in delicious and aromatic Patolya.
Ukadiche Kanole: Another delectable steamed recipe that is a must-try during this festival.
Lahya: My mother also prepares a small dish called Lahya, similar to rice popcorn, adding to the festive delight.
Celebrate with us and enjoy the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra through these traditional rituals and recipes. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe to Traditional And Authentic for more cultural insights and delicious recipes! 🌿🍚
