New riders like me really need this kind of advice from local experienced riders for Singapore riding conditions. Please do more of these videos. Really appreciate it.
Here's what I'll add on from my own experience: 1. Awareness. Prediction. Caution. Be aware of your road, surrounding and traffic conditions. Predict the dangers that might happen. Be cautious as much as you can. 2. Slow the F down. SG from Tuas to Changi only how many km. Speeding unnecessarily increases your bad luck by a lot. 3. Pussy Mode should be a new design T-shirt.
Good sharing. Many of these mistake can be avoided but you will always see "garang" rider who try to show their skill n confidence. Only thing I can say to them is jus be glad and hope you can always walk away from death. Especially when we ride in foreign land where we do not know the road condition and rescue support may not be so ready available. Ride safe n be responsible road user.
You guys are our SG version of Dan Dan the Fireman. We need more of this kind of videos to critically analyze the motorcycle accidents to help everyone be safer on the roads
@@tri333ple Yes please more of these videos. I always watch dan dan the fireman but find it to be not very relatable to Singapore riding. You guys have nailed it
Dang, didnt realize how easy to fall during wets roads. Too excited getting my sportsbike recently... i think i better tone down on corners during rain😬 Good reminder to new riders. Ride safe all!
As a Dutchman living in Malaysia riding big bike and driving car i like to say big bikers are better car drivers because we are constantly reminded of the dangers we have no crumple zones So many car drivers don`t care to use mirrors dont care to use signals and time and time again put us in danger and i think they don`t even know that they put us in danger Just last week i ride on myy Z-RS going 80 and just in front of me a car pull out from his lane in front of me nearly sh*t my pants he didnt put signal and i bet he didnt watch his mirror after right away overtook him and look him in his eyes while overtaking he just look making a dumb face like nothing happend Some times i feel car drivers think they haave more right to the road than us bikers i mean in a way like Mercedes or BMW drivers think they are the king of the road and we have to let them go first thats how i feel most car drivers act to bikers I some times see bikers smash car mirrors which is wrong to do but i can understand in the heat of the moment with the adrenalin pumping and not using your common sense these things can happen.
yea common in SG. Had a near miss with a Comfort Taxi last week. i was on lane one, and he swerved into my lane, and realised im right behind him he went back in to lane 2. i think he could have cut 3 lanes. i went up beside him he just look straight. Coward.
good educational video, can be put on driving centres. Honesty, all those riders that are confident in cornering on a wet road surface never skidded before. I was one of them and I learn a very painful lesson. Keep up in producing quality videos, love it.
A much needed content especially here is Singapore, we have too many deaths on the road and a large majority of them being riders. Hopefully newer riders and old can watch this and realise that your life is worth more than anything in the world. I think that we as Singaporeans should take the opportunity to cultivate a more patient road user community. Thanks guys keep it up!
Love this series. Very important for riders to learn. Chicken or pussy mode, it does not matter what others think. As long as we are not a danger or hazard on the road and we get home safely after each ride. That is a good ride by itself. Appreciate the content and analysis. One more thing to share about those carparks with slopes and painted lots or carpark flooring. Those are hazards on a rainy day and riding boots do not provide sufficient friction. I ever had a low-speed bike drop because my right foot slipped when on stepped on the painted car park slope and the whole bike dropped. Not sure why they got to paint those slopes...
You guys are great! Do more accidents videos reviews like this. Educational for everyone & reminder for every road users! Reviews old old accidents videos or malaysia dashcam too if possible! Good for everyone. Anyways thumbs up & takecare/ride safe!
Guys, love your videos and always entertained! Keep this going! These analysis coupled with your riding experiences is fantastic. Thank you for making pussy mode offcial. I thought I was the only one doing it in risky situations like wet roads and cornering too. P-Plater here. Went back top CDC for safe riding courses and they also reiterated what you guys advocate too. Pleas have more of these analysis. This will help the local riding community even more. Maybe a suggestion to have another spin off with areas in SG like junctions, some roads and places that riders need to be extra careful and how to safely nagivate them. For example Newton Circus( not much of a Circus now), large junctions like Clementi Ave 2 and Commonwealth Ave, and the various traffic prone places. Maybe getting info from insurance companies and the TP can help too. Cheers and keep up the good work guys!
I do these 3 things all the time: 1. stay clear of other drivers/riders blind spot 2. slow down and check for crazy drivers at all traffic junction even if lights are in your favour 3. apply whatever you learn in driving school especially checking blindspot End of the day, exercise defensive riding, you can be in the right but as a rider, you still pay the higher price.
Best to grab the font brake gradually? Hard to do it for e brake though... best is to leave extra distance for reaction time so that there are more options
The only way to learn how much you can actually squeeze your front brakes is through experience. Like you said the best way to prevent is to have extra reaction time!
The first video motorcycle skid might be due to oil on the floor, further into that video shows another car in front hits the wall on the left side due no friction while turning due to the slippery floor, thus, thats why the white car suddenly stopped.
Nice for sharing.. sometimes on the road at night .i saw bike with no brake lights.. its dangerous..anyway looking forward for your next video.. thumbs up for you guys..good 👍 😀
for new rider. riding fast and u hit flood there is a possibility you will break your leg, because when speed comes in, water become solid its like slamming your leg into a concrete wall. be very slow riding through floods.
accident at 5:24 is caused mainly by what i see every morning on bke, its a disgusting habit from malaysian riders. car signal want to come out from first lane, they die die will accelerate just to cut off the car and do the same thing that the rider did, go more than half into the second lane just to cut the car. this is why car drivers in singapore dont want to signal. makes me embarrassed to be a rider with such ungracious behaviour
The third example: I think similar to second example, the car had identified the motorbiker wanting to overtake, not undertake, and proceeded to move right to yield the space... Sadly, the rider overtook from the left and got hit. As you correctly said, the biker was more at fault then the driver. Riders should ALWAYS be on a defensive because they can never win in a collision with a vehicle.
Do it more. We love it. It is also good to understand how to prevent such a situation. Like the way 😸 mode.. But sometimes drivers get angry if 😸 mode on they will horn or high beams..
No matter what advertisement or marketing that says the Tyres grips is strong, good for wet weather bla bla, dont speed and/or bank on wet roads/weather. Look out for the stripes and arrows as well; that one is a dangerous one.
The puddle is easy to avoid. Ride in the Center lane or try to ride closer to the Center. The best is to follow a car so he can splash the puddle first.😂
I strongly agree that "pussy" mode is the safest mode. I used to ride and I'm always in the pussy mode. I don't care what people say cos it is so much better to be a living coward than a dead or injured hero! Now that I have been driving for a while, I noticed that most riders (not all) are in hero mode. Even after giving ample blinker signals, bikers don't care, they just ride as if they own the road. As I said, I used to ride and whenever I saw a driver giving the signal, I would slow down and let that driver have his way. Lower down my ego and let it go! Thanks so much guys, I hope your review will create awareness (pussy mode) in them. God bless!
Being on Singapore road long enough and you go other cities like Bangkok, Saigon and JB, you try to notice their driving behaviors. You will realize Singapore drivers / riders are really one of a kind. Not the good kind. Our roads are so much better than other cities but the drivers and riders really damn lousy.
I think i pussy lv 8 or 9.. if cloudy i always check road conditions and whether it rains.. if whole journey is raining, i take train or bus liao..if after work whole journey rain.. then i leave my bike at office liao

Off topic, Car Drivers next time try put on sun glass (not those super dark) during rain, it actually filter the rain drop light reflection. Helps alot.
As a biker, we must ride defensively. Bikes are the smallest shit in the automotive life cycle, doesn't that tell you something? Don't be some David vs Goliath hero. In real life, David gets sent off first okay. No other proper words but defensive. No offence but if you're riding in offensive mode, don't blame or cry when things happen.

can do a video of the gear each member is using for 2024?
I learnt to be a better rider after riding mountain bike at trails. Riders who have never tried mountain biking should try too.
it really helps to have the experience of riding off road. you understand your wheels a lot better.

90km/h for 20km = 13mins 20sec
120km/h for 20km = 10mins
Speeding through PIE but only 3mins faster, not worth it
really good point. alot of us dont realize this. its just not worth taking the risk
Nowadays, riders don't look in their side mirrors, and some don't even have side mirrors!
Good stuff! would be better if you react to accidents in other countries too
Will look into those as well ;) thanks for watching

wtf?
Continue to wear black helmets and black jackets in rainy weather. High visibility clothing seems repellend to bikers.

Hey i thought Singaporean bikers all very proper discipline one. No different than Malaysian bikers.
Have your high beam always on in bad weather can let others see u better.
It might blind the driver and riders in front of you. You dont want people around you to be blinded too 🥲
