Great Video! Looking foward to the next part. Quick question though is it possible to bypass the onboard rx elrs and use a normal radio reciever like a fs ia6b? If so how would you do it? Thank you!
Yes you can bypass the onboard rx. It gives you a choice of either the rx or wifi telemetry you can’t have both. The flight controller comes with plugs so you can choose which pins to plug to get the one you like. I went for telemetry and setup my rx on a different uart as the onboard rx is setup on uart 2, it didn’t let my long range rx work on uart 2 for some reason so I chose uart 3 and it worked. Not sure why it’s like that maybe because the telemetry is also setup on uart 2 as default.
Not really much difference both work the same with this same setup I have on this plane. You would need to compare the differences in specs yourself but for what I have on this plane both will work the same with spare uarts.
Yes you have a choice of either the rx or telemetry using a plug that come with the F405. I put a 900mhz rx on uart 3 and jumper plugs so I had telemetry. I show it on the video but you can go to the matek website to clarify which pins to plug.
So am I.. we are I our wet season now so wind and rain might be a problem for a while before I can successfully do a 1st flight. Electronics install is next then 1st flight.
Looking forward to the next part
take care
Thanks I just want some less wind and clear skies to fly again or else I am going to need to start another project lol
@@stonesrcchannel northern Alberta here -35 tomorrow so i feel your pain
Somehow I believe your pain is much worse than mine lol I can't even imagine how cold that must be.

is there a difference between this one and f405 wing. Like which one should i buy?

Did you manage to bypass the onboard rx elrs, and put your own rx on it, as I have same board,

Good afternoon cannot configure the flight controller using the inav program. the program does not see the controller. how to solve the problem?
@@ОлександрБровинський Have you tried a different usb cable? Usually a bad usb cable is the issue. Which flight controller are you using?
