Roadblock was always awesome when he spoke in rhyme. Especially in the movie when he had to carry Cobra Commander out of Cobra La. "We got a bargain. But play it safe or there's no doubt, I'll turn your eye balls inside out!"
During my first four college semesters I wrote a paper on "the danger of falling power lines". This pertaining to the danger of power lines being mentioned here in this footage about Roadblock. Terrill TC!
FINALLY my man ROADBLOCK!!! You glossed over how General Hawk and the other general reached the decision to have Roadblock escape because RB was the one Joe all the others would trust. RB's character was impeachable.
I always liked Roadblock, but never knew the love of cooking stuff, that's actually pretty cool. My great uncle was actually a navy cook and always made really good food. In fact his son worked as a baker in Walmart before becoming the stores manager, had even been transferred to the main offices.
One of the most iconic Joes, alongside Duke, Scarlet and Snake Eyes. I remember the episode where the Joes had to protect the Queen of England and he impressed her with his cooking knowledge.
Roadblock is essential to my love for GI Joe. The cartoon was a clever use and instantly recognized. His figures were very cool. The Joe with the biggest gun was unstoppable.
I dont have a lot of time left and you guys over there @@@JLSComics help me remember the good times and with so many Joes and Cobras out there, I'm looking forward to catching them all.
never liked roadblock. That damn stereotyped rhyming in every sentence always pissed me off as a kid. Pisses me off more as an adult, LOL. Now if you will excuse me once MO, I've got to GO, YOOOO JOE!! Wait... Hold on... What the?!😳
Every minority character in GI Joe was based on stereotypes. All Asian characters were martial artists, all Native Americans were spiritual guides or trackers that wore traditional Indian warpaint. The list goes on.
@@Coach_BigMac That's not always true, Nicky Lee codename: tunnel rat was an asian but he was depicted as an eod expert, and not a martial artist, Franklin E. Talltree codename:Airborne was a native american, while his military outfit had some native references, he looks and acts more like a regular soldier and he wanted to become a lawyer, Rafael J. Melendez codename:zap was a puerto rican but he was portrayed more of a bazooka specialist, alpine was a black man who loved mountaineering and a finance clerk, heck, Torpedo is hawaiian, but he was not portrayed as a stereotypical hawaiian, he was a scuba instructor and a vegetarian, while that statement is true, It's not always the case
So, he got lured into the military with empty promises of his dreams coming true? Sounds like a typical con man recruiter pitch alright. Also, I love it he was listed for a while from Dayton. That's my hometown, although it's an Air Force town, really.
dwayn johnson is not Roadblock at all by any means never show that again and they should have never picked a softy like dwayn to be a heavy machine gunner like Roadblock 👎💪
I find Stalker, Doc, Heavy Duty & Payload far more believable than Roadblock. He was obviously inspired by Mr. T as B. A. (Bosco Albert) "Bad Attitude Baracus on The A-Team; but B. A. was a mechanical genius and a Sergeant First Class. Hated Roadblock's rhyme talk and in G. I. Joe #78, readers are expected to believe he can LEAD a mission? Stalker & Lady J would've been more credible, same in G. I. Joe: The Movie.

"Play it straight" actually.
Roadblock's voice actor Kenneth "Kene" Holliday was also known as PI Tyler Hudson on Matlock.
Thanks for the info. I had no idea.
Thought he was also scatman crothers. Thanks

One of my favorites. What I really hated was that his action figure was actually shorter than Cover Girl's action figure.
My favorite episode of GI Joe is when they go to Roadblock's parents restaraunt.
Mine too . Red rockets glare
@dwoodard78 I knew when I typed that I was getting something wrong, it's been a while since I watched it. Thanks for clearing that up.
Red rockets with glare yes sir love that episode
That was actually Roadblocks aunt and uncle.
@Tucker Issac It's also free on Tubi as well. They're really good for classic cartoons.
You forgot the part were Roadblock singing the GI Joe theme while beating the crap out of Cobra troopers, and captured Cobra Commander.
Lmao
Roadblock is my favorite GI Joe of all time definitely my number 1

since 1984, my favorite Joe
Thanks for sharing! I have read and owned most copies.
Mavin F. Hinton. French trained chef and heavy machine gunner. Pairs well with Gung Ho, Stalker, and Recondo on missions ( my opinion ).
Roadblock has always been one of the best members of the team! Please do a review of Low-Light in the future!
Great video. I loved Roadblock. These videos take me back. Thanks.
I never had Roadblock, but my cousin did. I was very envious.

Roadblock was my favorite Joe on the show.I was kinda disappointed that they did not have his character ryming in the second live action movie.
please do storm shadow next as well as jinx
I think roadblock was 5th in command in the ist season of sunbow g.i.joe behind Duke, Flint, Scarlet, and Lady Jaye.
Was Heavy Duty Roadblocks replacement for a awhile just curious?
"Cobra is through, what are we gonna do?"

Body Massage!
Beat me to it!
Roadblock know how to kick some ass. 😀👍
Roadblock was the man. I never read the comics, but I enjoyed the original run of the Cartoon up until they ruined it after GiJoe the movie.
A real American hero roadblock The heavy Artillery
I like the character but hate the new classified head sculpt. So I am doing a head swap and removing the tat.😁
as well as the characters slice and dice and the red ninja clan
The greatest joe
I'm a g i joe fan and when will you show us the history and origin of stalker the u s army ranger?
I've heard a lot of mentions of toys/characters losing name rights. Does anyone have insight into exacy how this happens & then gets rectified??
Can you do Colonel Courage
How much do you think that torrent he lifted weight

Roadblock is one tough hombre', and you shouldn't make him mad, because, he'll breakout his trusty Ma Deuce, unload a full belt of hot lead on you.
Bro bro please do Heavy Duty
obviously this man has read a g i joe comic book!
Antione Berry A couple lol
Roadblock is the Joe with the most figure versions.
Didn't have Roadblock. I had his cousin, Heavy Duty
The logical choice for a movie roadblock is Andre Rush
They Should have had Shack O'Neal Play Road Block .
“Who wants a body massage?” - Roadblock
Rhyme time roadblock
Rock wasn't the best choice for Roadblock Terry Crews would have been better
Crews character in the Expendables was based on roadblock
I always thought Terry Crews would be a great Roadblock
Staten island LOL i used to live on Staten island
So, info i didn't know. My real nam is Charles Griffith.

@@Coach_BigMac Oh...I'm aware. Remember in the Gi Joe cartoon movie...there was a Native American guy named...Red Dog🤦🏾♂️

I liked road block but I'm not sure if the Rock was the best .
I liked RIP cord Character from rise of cobra
The perfect Roadblock would have been the late Michael Clarke Duncan.
Terry Crews should’ve played him in the movie.
GI Joe strike team
Duke
Scarlett
Gung Ho
Snake Eyes
Roadblock
Flint
Lady Jaye

💯💯💯💯💯💯🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Disagree, he actually became a great cook, he just also took a liking for heavy weaponry.
That recruiter lied
It's pronounced "Bah lucks see"
Ma deuce
dwayn johnson is not Roadblock at all by any means never show that again and they should have never picked a softy like dwayn to be a heavy machine gunner like Roadblock 👎💪

As someone who lives in the next town over from Biloxi, PLEASE learn how to pronounce the name of the city. It's pronounced BILL-ux-E, not bill-OX-e.
