Lady Pamela is so incredibly calm and patient under the prurient and entirely unnecessary needling by the interviewer regarding Lady Mountbatten's relationship with Pandit Nehru.
I decided to watch this video because I have read this book and others by Lady Pamela. I was so disappointed that the interviewer concentrated on the relationship between Lady Edwina and Nehru. This is such a small part of her book, and the other information contained in this book is so precious; it is just lascivious of the interviewer to concentrate on this one tiny and not that important aspect. Lady Pamela does not disappoint in keeping her cool and being 100% the great aristocrat she is. Cheers to Lady Pamela!
What to keep it up ? Third rate interviewer asked the questions arround only the Sex when the person was in india when India got the independence and when she saw everything in india at the time of independence.
Omg maybe I’m too young to get it… but she said like no. Like Taylor swift like ever! Why does sex matter also she argues? For them? She had had other lovers than her husband and admitted it plainly, as did he, her husband. So why would they keep it a secret? It seems they took no efforts to hide the live they felt for one another. You can be madly in love and never touch them… nobody ever read Persuasion??? It happened. It can still happen although rarely… and she was in love with him and him her so again the act of having sex is not the be all and end all of that.

The so called partition is a complete myth propogated by so called "India" India was always a subcontinet and never a country before 1947. There were many independent kindgoms in this subcontinent that had been fighting and conquering each other for mellenias just like in europe. At the end of the British empire, two new large counteries came into existence, the erstwhile kingdoms and states joined these new counteries. One country called itself Pakistan, the other however conscripted the name of this subcontinent for itself and this is where the confusions lies. Imagine if a large country was created in Asia which then chose to call itself Asia, that would be absurd, but that is exactly what "India" did! Remember the very word India comes from Sindh and river Indus both of which are located in Pakistan. Sindh is the father of India, not the other way around. Indus civilisation flourished along the Indus River in Punjab and Sindh. It doesn't belong to the current state called India. Their civilisation is in Ganga /jamuna. The descendants of Indus civilisation, Sindhis and Punjabis still live in Pakistan along the Indus River

Class will tell.
Why unnecessary? He’s a reporter and his job is to get to the truth. Everyone knows her mother was sleeping with Nehru. Including his daughter.

That's how cheap Indian journalists are
OMG what we studied, she is witness of all these.
😂
This guy is the Indian Jiminy Glick!
There is a seedy undercurrent to this interview. He looking for the sexual angle. It is rare but a platonic understanding is there in some unions.
Perhaps it is more a manifestation of his killer instinct. He does that with everyone he interviews.
How many bottoms did MountBottom mount?
Very first question has been asked without any shame or courtesy.
Lady Pamela manages this vile interviewer incredibly well.
Now I understood why did Nehru made so many blunders on many today’s issues challenges, Nehru , Gandhi both worked some how for UKs interests.
what a heap of utter nonsense

Who really believed Nehru loved to Edwina was platonic ?? Lmao that’s a joke of the year
For one who screwed a nation, you really think he did nothing to Lady Mountbatten
