I bet hes loving living in Portland Oregon. That place is a paradise with amazing weather & natural beauty. It’s not hot & miserable like Miami where it feels like you’re breathing in soup for 6-8 months out of the year. Your money goes a long way there too. A lot farther than in Miami.
Plus it's a town that actually loves football, the timbers have been around since the 70s predating MLS and you can feel it. The town really loves it's club.
Wouldn’t call it paradise but it nice to enjoy all four seasons and have the natural sites near by. Yes, we love our sport teams here! Both the thorns and timbers !
Mr. Gary Neville, you are always safe here in Chicago. I met your friend at the WC22 in Qatar at a pub and he spoke highly of you. My people will take care of it. GGMU
The fact the Wolves player didn't receive any repercussions for choking someone on the football pitch, tells you all you need to know about the referees and their bais against Arsenal.
In next weeks pod could we get an in-depth breakdown on how the US Soccer Federation needs to structure their youth system to match the likes of Europe's? Also, is money the distinguishing factor for not finding the best talent?
All I’m asking about this show is what does it do differently that it needed a whole new podcast and channel to Stick to Football. Same topics discussed?
Carragher saying that kicking a ball away is a more bookable offence than throwing a ball at someone’s head says everything you need to know about refereeing.
Walker was already back and looking at the play. Sure he didn't get 5 seconds in that position but he was back. He defended the play fully and that player made a pass that led to a goal.
Jamie, how could Trossard delay restart when there was a player rolling, writhing, feigning severe back pain? How do you delay restart with a player on the ground?
I know it was a cheap joke by Neville about the Trossard pass being so bad it deserved a yellow but if you go look it's actually almost perfectly placed to where Martinelli is running. I swear it's anything but talk about the main issues.
Yeah he seems like he's doing a lot. I mean if even Keane is telling him to slow down- hard task master. Tough man then u know he means it. And team mate obviously for years, like is good content. But he is doing a lot
First thing I think of regarding Haaland hitting Gabriel with the ball was when Rivaldo dived in 2002 when he got hit with the ball in the corner flag. Same situation? Red card?
Rivaldo one was pathetic and the acting after that was shambolic but haaland throwing the ball in the back of the head for giggles is stupid. He needs to control his emotions LMAO
Love how none of what's being talked about is how bad that yellow card was. 😂 This is why Neville and to a lesser degree Carra are considered biased pundits. It's something like 0.6 seconds from the whistle to the kick. You're already in the motion of kicking. And the other team isn't trying to play fast. Obv ref error.
No mention of Michael Oliver (and 4 other EPL refs) being flown to UAE and paid £20k to ref one match overseen by the owners of Man City? They’re buying referees and no one has the courage to call it out.
@@dazamandayit ain’t a conspiracy theory if it’s true. Confirmed that the refs were flown there and paid an inflated rate- it’s called an appearance of conflict if not actual, inherent. City dullard
Cristina with great ref analysis there, big miss not penalising that shithousery - taunting would be the penalty in US Sports and fair point, if a Keane, Vieira, Carra type had seen that happen to a teammate, ref would have been hounded and if still no red card, bounty would be put up on Haaland.
Would City have restarted the game quickly with Silva on the ground in discomfort, I think no, so despite Trossard kicking the ball away did he delay the restart?
of course Carragher says arsenal have to stop kicking the ball away. no mention of Szoboszlai doing the same thing. one rule for arsenal another for the rest.
Nobody denying the yellow being given, but it’s the consistency that’s the issue. Carra gets so worked up about anyone other than Liverpool. Yet again he’s going on about the yellow and not the fact the same ref didn’t book doku this week or szoboszlai (not ignoring that due to Liverpool bias I’m sure) last week. Then again nobody’s surprised as Oliver is in the pocket of city’s owners with his trips to officiate in the uae.
