Bought ours last year from Blue Lagoon for my T4, it's the best bit of kit we ever bought and when fitted, it blocks all of the light out and makes for a lovely nights sleep 👍😎
You said you said it will stop condensation, try sleeping in your van on a cold night with that outside you will still get condensation as it isn't insulated and you will still have cold windows which will cause condensation on the inside from the moisture in your breath play all good enough for a blackout blind trim they are good enough for blackout blinds though and a good price
That’s a great price, only thing I think it would be better if the strap around the door handle would be better if it was velcro but for that price an easy mod to do yourself. Your vans co ing along nicely by the way 👍
That cover isn't insulated, which removes the only reason why you would buy an external cover because not insulated, it doesn't move the warm / cold interface away from the window, which doesn't stop interior condensation. We have both internal and external ' insulated' blinds We have stopped taking the external blinds with us completely because of the following reasons. space - only room for one set. Outside fitment - because it is outside it gets wet and you have to fit and remove it outside, whatever the weather, leaving you with wet clothes and worse a wet cover to store wet. Flapping - in windy weather the flapping keeps you awake, not only that, if you are next to the beach or a sandy area, the wind blows sand and grit under the exterior cover making a perfect sanding block, which damages your paint, even worse when it is wet as well, making the sand stick to the cover more readily. I much prefer now taking the interior blinds. Even though there is condensation, you fit and remove them in the warm inside of the van, they don't flap all night, don't get soaked with rain and store neatly on top of the pop top bed after a little wipe. I wish that I hadn't bothered wasting my money on external blinds.
Hi Gordon, who did you use to have your pop top done. Looks awesome am thinking of having one done on my T5 but unsure of who to use. Your t6 is coming along nicely. 👍
Mine is an Austops roof, second one I’ve had now. Had one on my T5 as well. They have a national network of approved fitters, but I got this one on the T6 fitted at The Dub Hut in Ashford, Kent. The T5 one was fitted at Austops HQ near Leeds, but I don’t think they offer fitting from there any more. Hope that helps mate 👊🏼
Would this fit on T6.1. sorry for the silly question, new to the VW vans, I know the 6.1 is slight face lift, just making sure in respect of wing mirror height. Many thanks in advance, cool videos.
@@jamestinson9069 I just contacted Creative Covers, they've sold out of stock following the video. The price will drop back down to £29.99 when they've got stock again, hopefully in a week or two.
Buy an external windscreen cover (from Creative Covers) for £29.99 ebay.to/2VDgba3

Great!
The mirror mounts are bit different on the T6, hence the hole you have in the cover above the mirrors.
Just purchased one off the back of your review, cheers 👌
Great, hope its been useful

Yeah sorry, I meant it’ll be less condensation than the internal ones. But yeah, you’re absolutely gonna get condensation whatever really! 😂 lol

Completely agree, the straps are a faff.. a bit of heavy duty elastic with Velcro there would make it a winner!!
GDUBTV for the price of the cover it’s a cheap enough mod to do.
Exactly! :)

I’ve just caught up with your channel and I thought that’s exactly what I need .. click on the link .. they want £999.00 .. surely that’s not right
It means they’re out of stock atm bud. If you watch the item on eBay it should soon drop back down to around £30:£35, then order. Hope that helps
GDUBTV that makes sense .. thanks mate keep up the good work 👍🏻

Should do, probably best contacting the company via Facebook to ask
Is there a reseller in Europe / Holland?
You’re have to contact them direct, but they would post to EU I’m sure
Think I may have to buy one 🤔
Here’s the link if you want one.. ebay.to/2VDgba3
