- Ashish has done 40,000 + km on his interceptor and ridden on all types of terrain. He recently switched from the GT touring seat v 1 to the Interceptor touring seat v2. This review was done while happinessperkm was riding to Spiti. The v2 seat is a revelation- looks great, better cushioning than it’s predecessor and one can easily do long distances on this seat. Ashish bought it for ₹ 4750 and he thinks it’s money well spent. The seat is waterproof and holds up well on tough rides.

I have the touring seat along with a Sahara Seats seat cover with gel padding. It’s a peach!
Can we get an updated video on tire options for interceptor, i have been riding the new interceptor with ceat tires and i feel they do not do justice to the bike, ps the idea that i could get a puncture keeps troubling me.
Hi, recommendations suggested me the video and after watching it, I binge watched many other videos on your channel. I myself ride an i650 and found your videos very informative. One question after looking at this video was which tyres are those? They look very different and I’ve never seen such on an i650…

@@happinessperkm Thanks for the reply. Which size are you running at front and back and how is the tyre performance, like cornering traction and overall confidence while riding…? And them being Chinese how is the quality of the tyre? I have the stock ceat tyres and the are not good i do not feel confident cornering on speeds above ~70kmph, and during hard braking the tyre starts to loose grip very easily… Also I tried joining the whatsapp chat group but it says the link is reset and no longer available.
You seem to have switched to stock silencers. It would be great to hear about your experience with the performance slip-ons, air filter and oxygen booster.
Stock was for the hills to maintain the quietness. Slip on works better. Keeps the bike cooler. DNA filter helps the bike breathe better. Fuel booster ensures that the bike does not run too lean with slip ons. Have had a great experience with the mods
Really appreciate your videos. I am a new owner, any ideas to reduce the engine heat in the summers. The heat in the summers is increasing the bike therefore heats up more.. I saw a carbon fibre protection that covers half the engine. Do u think it will work?

Thanks for the great review. Does this seat raise the height significantly? I’m wondering how this would be for a shorter rider? Also, does it affect the reach to the handlebars?
Hi. No the seat does not raise the height. Ashish is 5’8”. The seat works well for him.

Have RE resolved the wobbling, regulator rectifier, low rpms engine cutoff, and battery issues? It's 2022 should I wait for a newer model? Already booked...but waiting for any news about newer model
We haven’t heard of any fixes or upgrades. Hoping they come soon
Hey! What would you suggest as a good touring/city bike upgrade from a CB300R?
I feel like the Interceptor/Conti is too heavy, while the Trident is too pillion-unfriendly and expensive (for me).
BMW 310 GS and KTM ADV 390, we prefer the BMW over the KTM for the sheer comfort because of the quality of ride. KTM is certainly is and feels more powerful in comparison and better kitted but the suspension is nothing to talk about.
Touring = decent power + great suspension.

Update: I went for the Interceptor, and decided to not sell my CB300R.
Build quality leaves a lot to be desired, but it's simple, gets the job done, and always puts a smile on my face - unless I'm in traffic. Strictly used as a weekend/day trip machine so far.

@@MacAaluExplores I actually agree with hpkm's suggestions above if you want one bike only. Interceptor is absolutely useless in heavy traffic and commuting I think, plus pillion comfort needs a few mods to really get going, like seats, backrest, footpeg adjustment kit.
I mostly needed a 2cyl tourer for weekends and holidays, so Int650 was perfect, as long as my CB takes care of daily city riding.

Please test out the mk design super touring seat which has been released recently and priced at 6k. I'm looking for a good touring seat for my interceptor and I'm confused between RE touring seat v2 and the mk design seat
mk design seat is almost same to the seat available at sahara seats, mk design just charges extra i beleive
on the choice, i had the touring seat v2 by default and final verdict IMO would be look else if-
you are a heavy guy (myself 100kg)
you are a tall guy (myself 6.1 ft)
I am also currently on a look-out for a better seat, my preferences goes towards the bucket shaped seats at sahara seats, might order soon
