The day is finally here! Thank you everyone for being so patient with me, this video has put me through so many emotions; excitement, happiness and DESPAIR!! This was my first time experimenting with VFX, I wanted to see what I could do and I'm incredibly happy with the outcome, I hope you guys like it too! There were certainly days though where I wanted to give up and wish I’d never taken on this project but looking back I’ve learned so much and gained many new skills so I’d say it was worth it :)
When I watched tangled the series a few months ago I was completely mesmerised by it. The stories were magical and the animation is so beautiful! I wanted to keep an aspect of the 2D look and feel with my own recreation so I kept the 'evil hair' looking 2D. The Hurt scene was my absolute favourite and gave me chills!

I used Adobe After Effects to track the eyes, change the colour and add reflection/grain, there’s a good tutorial for it if you search for “demon eyes after effects” on UA-cam
