Wow. I love Monet’s Waterlilies. I, also, love how your version of his work is distinctly you and your style. This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing how you prepared for it with experimentation.
Thank you again for your words Shawn! We must do things we have never done! We must take courage. I must. Thank you thank you thank you. BTW - your hair is gorgeous, girl! happy sunday.
Shawn, I love how you are encouraging us to come along on the adventure! Amazing how the brush strokes bring so much depth and texture. I want to try the pencil work as it gives that extra something that really adds to the piece. Have a blessed week ahead!
Shawn, watching you after a long hike was the cherry on my Sunday cake. You seem to find such apt words and ideals for me, it's like you're my life coach. My word of the year is wonder ( in all it's connotations) thanks for the reminder to get back to it as well as telling me I'm loved. 🤗
@@ShawnPetite Quick question please.....when you use the charcoal/pastel around the edges or in the body of your artwork, do you seal the painting with a fixative to prevent it smudging later on?
2024 has for sure been an adventurous journey so far! Thank you for sharing your journey with us and for encouraging us too along the way. Today's art work turned out beautiful! Can't wait to keep going on adventures! 👍🏻❤
Amen, we must make bad art before we make a beautiful pieces of art. And it takes 1000 pieces of bad art to get that one beautiful piece! Looks like to me your art is all beautiful!
Can I ask a newbie question? Why do you put collage papers down then cover them all up again with paint. I love your finished paintings but I often love the collage before the paint goes on too! 😂 I've seen other artists do the same thing so I'm curious as to why. Thanks for putting your inspiring content out there for us all to enjoy.
Putting the papers down starts my creative flow.. it takes aways the scary blank background and it gives me something to respond to. Plus.... the texture is so wonderful AND there are tiny bit that show through like a little surprise. All those layers give interest and depth to any work of art. Hope this helps explains the why behind the papers. Thanks for being here!

When you put the stencils on the panels *POOF* it was what transformed this into a new level of cohesiveness. Love how this landed ❤
