I worked the 9-11 Hotlines, and there were so many who fell ill from all that dust and human decay inhalation on the day, and also from the clean up, afterwards. Horrific memories.
It’s odd at 45 to explain the emotions of that day to teenagers and young adults as we all remember it like it was yesterday. 2,973 is a number I’ll never forget. RIP all those who lost their lives that day.
Last year I started thinking about what 9/11 would have been like if we’d had social media back then. I think we can all imagine the Facebook livestreams the world would have been inundated with. I really don’t know if that would have further humanized the tragedy or just traumatized us all even more.
"told a small plane" that's exactly what I heard on the west coast between 5am and 6am. From the early coverage, on the radio, we thought it was something totally different
Thank God I’m not a journalist, I would’ve dropped the camera and run away fro my life. It’s not worth recording a video, taking pictures, will drop my phone and hide shelter for safety. But bless his courage and bravery. Salute 🙏⭐️🌹
I was a senior in high school that day. I remember waking up living on the west coast and hearing on the radio a "fire in the WTC building". I figured just another day in hectic New York city. Then I got to class and we had the news on the classroom TV. They kept playing the plane hit over and over, frame by frame, slow motion. I kept thinking this cant be real! Other than that I don't remember much rest of that day other than being glued to the news. I don't even recall if school was let out early.
You really don’t, I was 12 and remember that day, the news footage was unedited, people jumping off the building together was shown and it’s still engrained in my mind. I remember ppl desperately trying to climb out the window but losing their balance. It was terrible.
Wow, I remember watching it happen on the news. I was in art class, the principal announced that all teachers were to turn on the news in all classrooms. So sad
I was in Gym when we were told what happened by the coach, but it didn't sink in until I went to my next class, Algebra, and saw it happening on the television. I felt angry, sad, horrified, helpless. But I'll always remember.
Remember bad sad thing happened in this world. Scary day to remember 911 people die .andt save police cars emergency car fire truck all there help people get out of building out out the fire

This is probably the worst comment I've read today, and I don't like how it distracts from the people we've lost in 9/11. One day, just one day, be an American and think about what's most important.

Jesus is your way to heaven, he paid the price for your sins. Once you believe you are sealed and saved forever. Salvation is a free gift.
@D God ain't gonna give you a free pass. Atheism is for cowards. Nothing. Wow, what a philosophy. Science is for egotistical dipshits.

But make sure tomorrow once today has passed that you start dividing us again. Thank you media, for your political agendas.
