  • Here is the noise comparison. Interesting fact is that the spin down time on the belt is actually longer - more efficient. Kit available now!

    How does the gearing of this set up compare to stock? Looks like your rear sprocket is larger than the belt kit offered by Luna Cycle, which really only works with the smaller supermoto tires. Very interested in getting a belt drive for my Surron with a equal or lower gearing than is on the stock chain.

    • @ridecrypto
      @ridecrypto  3 роки тому

      Gearing is equivalent to a 52T chain sprocket and 1:8.25 in total(final) reduction final gear ratio. This was Especially made for 19" stock tires plus that you have that extra grunt from below unlike stock 48T which makes the RON a little saggy under acceleration.

    How has the belt been?
    like how’s maintenance?
    and how often do you need to replace belt ?

    can you flip wheel over and reverse 3 phase so belt can be on left side ? or is motor sprocket too inboard ?

    WOW Alex this is unbelievable! You've managed to almost eliminate the noise! How much did it cost ? Can it handle more power if you upgrade controller & battery in the future ?

    • @ridecrypto
      @ridecrypto  5 років тому +2

      Very cool indeed =) The first proto was expensive, around 60h in development time, and over 600USD in material costs. Hoping to offer a Kit for around 350USD. It can handle way more power for sure, so controller upgrade is not a problem.

      @@ridecrypto Aha great update then! What about the top speed? The back sprocket looks bigger now so is the top speed much slower?

    • @ridecrypto
      @ridecrypto  5 років тому

      @@ioannischerouveim7239 It is equivalent to Motomotos 52T sprocket (stock is 48T) Top speed with this one and sine wave controller is the same as with stock sprocket and stock squarewave controller but you get a lot more torque. One of the best combos if you ask me.

    much better noise level! what about dirt and sand , if you ride offroad? is it kevlar belt?

    • @ridecrypto
      @ridecrypto  5 років тому

      Should be fine with offroad as long it is dry/semidry. It is carbon belt

    Yea but is it as strong as a chain ? I bought mine the dealer said not to upgrade to the belt as a Stone can snap the belt when it goes between the belt and sprocket

    • @ridecrypto
      @ridecrypto  4 роки тому

      Depends on where you ride, normally the belt looks like new while the pulleys are worn down to 50%

    • @Th3Ran
      @Th3Ran 4 роки тому

      Chain is stronger anyway

    do you ride trails or street? Is riding in dirt going to be problem with belt?

    • @ridecrypto
      @ridecrypto  4 роки тому +1

      Mostly dry trails, wet dirt will wear it out faster

      @SuperRaymondh 4 роки тому

    Hej, kan man sätta på det här beltkittet på motarhjulen?

    • @ridecrypto
      @ridecrypto  5 років тому

      Jadå men topphastigheten blir lägre. Motardhjulen är ju mindre. Får kanske bygga mindre bakdrev för remmen om man vill ha samma hastighet som förr.

    • @loco2502
      @loco2502 5 років тому

      Då kanske det är bäst att bara byta däck till några lite mer slicksdäck? Har du beltkitet redo till försäljning?

    • @ridecrypto
      @ridecrypto  5 років тому

      @@loco2502 Ja, bäst är att byta 19" crossdäck till gatdäck. Kittet kommer vara tillgängligt om ca 3v.

    made of rubber like a tyre that dries out and cracks..so it should last as long as a tyre..not very..lets replace a robust metal chain with some rubber..going over bumps makes alot more noise than the chain and belt put together..so anyone with a belt drive certainly wears a mask
