they already working on new battery. One time Paul (on their instagram) was flying 70min with about 30% of battery left, it was suprisingly small battery, Viper 6 without trike. How do you like your SP140? I really the concept of electric
Its a neat machine but heavy, and you have all your weight even at the landings unlike with ICE powered. Thats the biggest drawdown about it.
In theory with the new 4.7wh battery, you could fly for a little over 2 hours at 2.2wh draw! How has the sp140 been in terms of ownership for you?
Top speed?
Hi. Can you tell us more about these holes in the engine covers? I have a qs205 which overheats when I give it 120A. I don't want to use ferrofluid or oil and I was intrigued by your method.... Did it dissipate heat effectively? What about riding in the rain/washing your bike? 🤔
there is extensive study about it here: endless-sphere.com/sphere/threads/definitive-tests-on-the-heating-and-cooling-of-hub-motors.48753/ and yes, ned to be careful washing this part with water!
fantastic job! where do you get the flame protection? i know the DALY BMS factory boss and i worked with ANT BMS for many years too. wise choice to change to a bigger BMS. but be careful and check it after a hard cut due to low voltage over overcurrent since these 2 scenarios cooked several BMS from ANT before here. really good job you found the problems and were able to fix it.
haha dude... you even fly the IDENTICAL wing than me! subbed!
@@cloudpandarism2627 yup! I got it as a sample from the company that make it Godzilla fire insulation-Ningbo Booer New Materials
@@ridecrypto i found it. i am living in china and it should be easy to get. thanks mate. even i think this insulation wont protect the pilot. but if it gives him couple more seconds to get down its fine i guess.
Nice and precise job and evaluation. Hope that the result was not disappointing and 0.05 cell disbalance on discharged battery is the value you reached.
Indeed it did and flight time increased from 45 to 53 minutes which is quite substantial.
plz show cell volt after repair on the app
Chain gang
Square is my favorite
A video proofs nothing, we need Oscilloscope plots to compare correctly
80km/h nice
why did they make square wave it does not work good it's waste of time
It's quite the opposite actually, square wave controllers are much simpler and are less likely to break, the cons is that they're also way noisier and have less granular control, sine wave are quiet and very easy to control but they're also more complex, Thus, have more points of failure
@@liarusfrom my experience due to the simplicity they actually blow up more often than proper foc/sinewave controllers that use output current monitoring most squarewave junk only have input shunts/measure battery current only and just throw a lot of fets into it in the hope it doesnt blow up
Nice flying brother. Keep uploading more videos on SP140. It's the future.
Great machine! Planning to buy a one. Will three blade consume more power and give lesser flight duration?
Not sure on that, but three blade sound a bit more noisy, higher pitch on the sound.
How much time ( more or less ) can you fly with the 3.7KW battery on a level flight?
With that battery and my setup, the best I can do is around 47min.
@@ridecrypto Is your battery equal to one of the 2 batteries of the SP140? 2.7 and 3.7 KWh Is your battery DIY?
@@neosugus The battery is stock one, 4kWh where it has 11 cells in parallel. New kits are delivered with 10 cells due to the use of cell holders that takes more space and encreases safety. Thats why the new packs are 3,7kWh. You can fit up to 4,7kWh in this pack with newer cells, like Samsung 50S.
@@ridecrypto I weigh 70Kg, and the trike and frame more or les 10Kg. Tola 80/90Kg on take off. What size and brand glider would you recomend me to get the longest flight time in a normal and easy cruise flight?
@@neosugus Not expert on wings so cannot say a lot. Trike seems very light so I bet the wing like mine may work(Spyder 3 26meter)
HI i really want to get chain but I heard the maintenance is a lot is that true?
What's youre weight and wing surface?
its in the description
how about battery drain with belt? u get more range?
How does the belt do off road?
How often do you have to change out your belt to the back wheel?
You have to change pulleys more often than belt, belt is much stronger and eats them. I would say that intervals are same as a regular chain.
@@ridecrypto With neglect, I get 8000 miles from motor sprockets and 10,000 from chain. With care...occasional cleaning and relube, the chain lasts 12K and motor sprockets about 9000 miles. The motor sprocket teeth start hooking after a while and then eventually I need to replace the sprocket. I have yet to replace a wheel sprocket. All those teeth on them, they tend to last forever since the individual teeth are under far less load. *** So you are getting 8000 miles from your belts?
@@de-bodgery when it comes to surron, you already see wear on the swing arm sprocket after about 2-3000km. I would change this sprocket after about 6000km. Same would go for the motor belt pulley. But all depends on what type of terrain you do.

Is the belt just as strong, has same torque, etc… other than the audible benefit of the belt… are there any negatives ? Like belt more likely to break under pressure than the chain ….
Skys are dusted!
Flyger min SP140 i Vimmerby.
But make only sense with a stock surron, and nobody want to drive his Surron stock 😅
Why, I drive it with NUC at over 14kW, belt can take around 20.
Hey buddy, do have any idea how much your bike weighs?do you pedal? How is the pedal assist?
around 55kg, you can pedal but they dod not have pedal assist back then.
Помню помню, это был прорыв!
if you want to pedal, can you? or is it very heavy?
Where can I get the belt conversion kit with bigger rear sprocket like a 52/54?
Besides the sound, is there any substantial performance benefits to either ? On regular motorcycles, chains perform better
I've heard a chain is better for jumps and offroad activities. And the belt is good for on the road. I'm still not sure, that's why I'm looking still.
@@carterjohnson453 had both Chain is better for off-roading but noisy better torque for wheelies too Belt is much quieter, less weight, less maintenance & hits higher top speed by a mile or two & may save a tiny bit more battery then chain. You can wheelie with a belt still but much less torque (whisky throttle)
I'm wondering before you had replaced the square wave controller with the sine wave controller, did you ride your bike backwards?
Probably not backwards as that would be unsafe. I'm guessing upside down.
i need a good 28A sine wave controller for 14s battery... any idea?
Fardriver
Still not selling this kit?
Sorry, not as of now.
Wish I could have one of these
Hey Alex, do you still have this kit for sale?
Sorry for now, no.
yall look like lil bitches with them short shorts and toddler helmets
How did you cut the bracket to get the belt on?
Hows the performance difference of the two
The belt fine for the street but not Offroad my buddy says every time he takes his out and takes it off-road he snaps the belt I guess it just depends on what you're using it for
snaps like breaks? or it just comes out? what makes it snap, small rocks getting caught between the belt and the sprocket?
So your buddy breaks a belt on every off road drive? Belts have a stronger breaking force than chains. Yeah B.S.
Have you had any problems with the belt drive so far at this level of performance? Lg
No as this belt setup is good up to about 18kW
@@ridecrypto Ah ok thank you you would say that the chain wear is greater than with belts
@@Cardesign-pg1yo These carbon belts are so damn strong that they actually outlast the pulleys - both front and the rear one. I would say that at least the belt will outlast the chain in clean conditions.
@@ridecrypto Thank you
Do you have these back in stock yet?
I wanna buy this
What battery is that... it's a 72v but still in the surron hard case... did you make it? Or do they sell them like that?
I made it with stock case mate ridesurron.se/sidor/light-bee-extreme
Thank you for posting, just the comparison i needed
Did you ever solve this problem? My bike is making the same noise and it’s driving me crazy
It is not a problem, thats just how it sounds. Perhaps you can swap out the bearings for better ones and it will be better.
Do you have plans for that stand I would like to make one
only problem the phase wires melt
Hey buddy like the video. I love your bike very sweet.and very fast. I tell everyone this not just you so please don't think I'm picking on you. You need to wear some gloves an I hope your wearing a helmet also. You bike is very fast you ever go down your gonna wish you had them on. I've been down an because I was wearing my riding gear I was able to walk away. If I didn't have it on i would of been going to the hospital. Look up "foosh" it stands for "falling on out stretched hands" and look at the pictures an you will never ride without them. I just want you to be protected when riding buddy. So please ride safe wear your gear and God Bless
