- Note; after this video was released, Marc Jacobs renamed the sizes on two of these bags. So the sizes are as follows from smaller to larger;
- Mini (formerly Micro)
- Small (formerly Mini)
- Medium (formerly Small, but was renamed earlier, so this is correct in the video)
- Large
As my Marc Jacobs the Tote family was completed with the Micro size some time ago, I thought it was a good time to do a comparison video with all 4 sizes - micro, mini, medium (small) and the large. Hope this helps with choosing the right size for you!

Thank you for the thorough review. The best feature is the zipper. As you said, most totes don't have any closing. I might consider a medium size in canvas so it's lighter. I already have the mini in leather.
The fabric ones are definitely the better option when it comes to weight! I just haven't come across a variant that appeals to me. 😅 The demin patched one is cute, but I know I'd have trouble styling it.

I find the mini size very versatile.. It’s great as a casual crossbody or dressed up as a top handle, and it holds everything you need. I would suggest the canvas if you like the style but not the weight or the price of the larger sized bags ( med / Lg.)

I have a question tho.. will my 14 inch macbook pro fit right in the medium bag?
I don’t have a 14” MacBook, so I can’t be entirely sure, but the MacBook Air 13.3” is an exact fit. I you don’t want to stretch the leather, I think 14” is going to be too big. 🤔

What size should i choose if i would like my iPad mini and waterbottle in The bag?
Hi, for an iPad Mini and a 16 oz (500ml) water bottle, the Small size should be perfect. Very big or tall water bottles like the Stanley Iceflow don't fit very well in the Small, in that case, I'd recommend the Medium. Hope that helps!
Would you say the leather feels the same on all sizes? Mines feel different compared to micro and mini
I'm out of town, so I'm going to have to double-check, but from my recollection, the leathers all feel pretty much the same. 🤔
I checked on the website and the Cement color is different. It’s more like a brown one. This one looks more like the Wolf Grey. I am confused which to buy🥲
I see what you mean 🤔 I think the color is more representative in my videos than on the website, but Cement is a 'warm-toned' grey, it hints slightly towards brown. If you are looking for a 'cool-toned' grey, then Wolf Grey is probably a better pick. Hope that helps!

Does anyone know if an 11' ipad will fit into the small size?
Hi, I just tried my iPad Air (10.9”). It can fit, but it will stretch the leather, so I don’t think the Small will hold an 11” iPad comfortably. It’ll fit in the Medium perfectly fine though.

Does the cotton one easily get stains?
I don't have any cotton ones, so I'm afraid I can't tell, but hopefully someone else has the answer!
What kind of the materials is below than 1 kg?. Tq
I can’t tell for all the materials they have 😅 but I think it’s save to say the regular fabric large tote will weigh less than 1 kg.
For leather size L, how many kgs the weigh?
The large leather tote is about 1.5kg, it's pretty heavy!
if I have a 16' laptop which would work best
Then I'd definitely go for the Large!
I have 3 sizes of those, besides the large one. You just cannot only have one MJ tote😅

Hi! Thanks for subscribing! 🤗 Objectively, I think the micro (or now mini) is overpriced compared to some of the other sizes. It’s quite a bit of money for a mini-bag from a contemporary brand. 🤭
To me it’s worth it however, because I do find myself reaching for it often. It’s worry-free material, fits all my essentials + a bit more and it goes very well with my casual dressing/lifestyle. I love it in the black color! 🖤I think it should fit a phone, wallet and pouch perfectly fine, but to be sure, you can always check if no item is too wide/tall and if the depth of the three items doesn’t exceed the width of the bag.
