It was started by Juliette Gordon Low, she got involved with Girl Guides an offshoot of Boy Scouts (started few years prior) It was ran by Agnes Baden-Powell the sister of Sir Robert Baden-Powell founder of Boy Scouts. She began a Girl Guides patrol near her home in Scotland, where she encouraged the girls to become self-sufficient by learning how to spin wool and care for livestock. She also taught them knot tying, how to read a map, knitting, cooking, and first aid, and her friends in the military taught the girls drilling, signaling, and camping. She then spread the movement to London then the United States in Savannah, Georgia the birth place of Girl Scouts officially where she established headquarters and changed the name. She funded expenses herself. During WWI she taught Girl Scouts to grow and can their own food to learn to conserve, they also helped the Red Cross and helped tend to wounded soldiers, she even convinced President Woodrow Wilson’s second wife to become an honorary Girl Scout. She and Olave Baden-Powell expanded Girl Scouts and Guides internationally. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts have been usually supportive historically. Juliette Gordon Low worked her hardest until dying of breast cancer in 1927. She is an inspiration to many. Girl scouts definitely have a lot of cool programs now. I was on a girl scout canoeing team for 7 years Every year we went to NY for the General Clinton Canoe Regatta's scout races, and the majority of the time the girl scouts were faster than the boy scouts.
They were talking about when they were in it, they are in the 30-35 age range things have changed dramatically in recent years so of course they are going to be out of date, also they don’t have kids in scout age. Tiff does but we know that issac isn’t in scouts

Driving tests now are so stupid. They ask questions where you’d think it could be 2 of the answers, but it’s something stupid or some stupid scenarios. I take my behind the wheel test on Valentine’s Day in a town that doesn’t pass people often. Pray for me 😭
It wouldn’t make sense for her to report something to the cops if she wanted to steal money from cookie sales. She has access to all the cookies and all the money so if she wanted to steal she could have skimmed money off each sale without alerting anyone.

In Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and other country that forgot the name, we don't have girl scout and boy scout.. we only have THE scout and we don't sell cookies.. No matter what gender you are and what age, you will go to 3 day camping with all the girls and the boys from each district to learn survival skill.. that's why America need to change their scout's way plus American scout is nothing similar to the original scout like how can you becomes a king scout if you sell cookies.. we went through quite a harsh camping just to get the badge... i was 9 when i got into the scout and the camp was tough for a kid like me.. so America scout are no fun and weak

This happened to my troop a long time ago. The leader was taking small amounts of money from cookie sales and other fundraisers. But she was a divorced single mom so she was struggling. But yeah, she was fired.
I had friends and their parents just bought the whole box for them for the fundraisers and they could eat their own chocolate... I thought they were sooo rich at the time

I have been in a troop where we did only baking and sewing badges, but my new troop camps frequently, learns how to use rifles, archery, and I attend a girl scout summer camp called camp fury in which we a trained for a week by female firefighters and police officers.
I went to Juliette Gordon Lows ,the Girl Scout founders,house with my sisters troop before I was ever in Girl Scouts and let me tell you I was bored out of my MIND♥️
