This is the best Topwater bait I’ve ever used and you can fish it in so many different ways, walking, popping, and letting it sit on surface and spin they can’t stand it. It’s critical to rig it the way you did coming out past the chin. Use the Mustad Grip Pin hooks it keeps the hook from sliding down. This bait kills it during the spawn just fish it slowly. This is the best video I’ve seen for the pop Shadz. Excellent video Nick.

Hey Nick , I just wanted to let you and everyone at LTB know that this bait is awesome! Today I caught my PB and also my fist bass of the year and my first bass on artificial bait and my first bass on a bait caster. I just got back into fishing this year and have been at least a dozen times with no fish caught. Today I used this bait and skipped it under a bush hanging over the water and caught a 8lb 8oz 23-1/2" largemouth bass ! It took me 6 tries to skip it where I wanted , but when it got there I saw the fish come up with its mouth open and nail it ! It was awesome, I'd been throwing frogs ,whopper Ploppers , grassburners , and a senko all day with not one bite , but using this for 10 minutes and got the biggest fish I've ever caught ! In a 8' bass raider plastic boat with a BPS 6' rod and a BPS reel on 20lb braid. Just goes to show don't ever get discouraged, don't ever quit , fish with what you have and eventually you will be in the right place at the right time and with the right bait ! Thanks to LTB for help with the right bait , and thanks Nick for this video without it I would have never tried to skip this bait under there and caught my biggest fish !!

good video nick. I would say I can't wait to get my ltb today because of this bait, but I am not a fan of z man baits. They melt and are the only ones to cause a mess here in Arizona. the video is good and instructional. good job man.

I can't wait to try these. I was never a fan of popping lures. I recently purchased a Lunkerhunt popper and the bass absolutely mauled it yesterday morning.

I got some Pop Shadz a few months ago and tried them as a popper but you opened up so many possibilities with this bait. I did have a problem with it sliding down from the hook eye while working it on an 5/0 EWG. Maybe I wasn't driving the hook far enough thru the mouth/chin?

Yes lay the wood to them the elaztek is tough and you need a hard hook set on braid

Alvin Carroll not that much practice if you can already cast well. Just hit the water as close to the beginning of the cast as you can, and adjust your brakes accordingly.

Well I guess I got my answer. It's sad that after being a subscriber for almost a year and XL subscriber for about five months that am going to have to set on the bench this month and just watch. At least I got the Chinese Tiger Balm pain relieving ointment (I'm going to need it) and a box of duplicate baits. I hope this isn't how it's going to go next month. 😔

Barrett Bassin' I hope your wrong. Because if your not, I'm done with LTB. I up graded to xl several months ago to make sure I didn't miss the Grass Burner and have been waiting for this "Top Water" box. All I got was a bunch of leftover crap from the last 3-4 months. There's nothing in my box, that this months box should have except the fish hound magazine featuring the Grass Burner.
