Ciel is, in my opinion, a total and absolute dickbag spoiled brat who TRIES to be snobby and uphold it while Sebastian totally seems like he's preying on that. Although I'm only on like episode 9-10.
Read the manga it’s still ongoing the manga is far and away much better than the anime. Just miles ahead. The characters actually exhibit development The characters are more fleshed out and enjoyable to read about, and you don’t have to wait forever for new episodes, as there are several arcs of the series already out. There is a lot more action with some of the side characters like Elizabeth and is a tad more gory than the anime.
Watch the Anime s1 s2: Sebastian is badass and nothing more. Ciel is edgy, Lizzie is annoying, only liked Soma and Agni. Read the Manga: Ciel my favourite character now....(maybe I should call him Astre?) A tragic hero so amazingly written, such complexity. My second favourite is Finny. Elizabeth is pitiful. Sebastian is...... interesting, as the devil he is, but never attracted to him.

I know this comment is old but Ceil might have broke out of the contract. Because in the Black Butler version of Alice and Wonderland there is a scene when Ceil briefly turns into an adult. When turned an adult the pentagram on his eye was gone. Since the pentagram is gone im assuming that he somehow got out of the contract.
The lyrics speaks for what's happening in the manga. It makes me so emotional. This is what the Ciel we've been reading/watching has been going through. My love for Ciel Phantomhive grows with every chapter. Every little development in his story and character...They suck me in. So entrancing and damn, I really love you, Ciel Phantomhive. I know he is not the real 'Ciel' but he's Ciel to me no matter what. He is the only Ciel Phantomhive to me, the other is just one I do not feel a bond with

Peter Phung It's pretty good. Though, I was a fan of the manga before the anime, so I'd recommend reading the manga first -- or at least I'd recommend starting with the manga. It's ongoing~
Peter Phung It's dark, but if you're okay with that then it should be good! Word of advice though: After the curry arc the anime strays from the manga plot BIG TIME, so if you don't want filler skip the first season after the curry arc, and skip the second season (total filler...some argue it's even fanfiction-y, and not the good kind is what people who don't like it petition. Watch at your own risk.), and go straight to season 3 which is Book of Circus. There's also plenty of OVAs you can watch at any time. =) Book of Murder directly follows Circus btw. ^.~
Peter Phung It's good, but skip season 2, as it's anime-original and doesn't follow the manga. And sucks. So if you're going to watch it, Go Season 1, then Book of Circus (practically Season 3), then Book of Murder.

I've loved this dub ever since I heard it after BOC came out, but listening to it now again after the latest reveal in the manga, and the line of "Praise your palette of lies, for it's a masterpiece that you have created" is chilling concerning the Two Ciels Theory. So beautifully done, you can just feel the weight of Ciel's choice and his sorrow. I love both versions, but I highly prefer this one.

I just finished catching up with the manga and let me tell you that this song alongside monochrome kiss makes much more sense now. Seriously, the direction of the manga is literally so good !! So much twists and turns that you never will expect.
I don't know why, but I really like the melody of this song. Mixed with your amazing voice and it just sounds perfect. The song sounds so flowy, and so sad, but with an almost pop and upbeat tune at the same time. I really don't know how to describe it but this is just extraordinary!

Edgy_Emo_Otaku I *love* Yana's artstyle and tbh, I don't have any ships in the Kuro fandom but I don't really love this one. The reason is, at first glance it looked to me like Ciel is dead and I for some reason hate any artwork -even if it's by Yana- where Ciel is portrayed as just food or looks dead. (Weird I know XD) So as much as I like her artstyle and color choices I can't bring myself to *really love* those kind of art works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Honestly considering the dynamic they have, namely the pact's rules, as well as Sebastian (moreso in the manga where you can see his inner thoughts) seeming to despise Ciel and strongly look forward to the day he can eat him, as well as the fact his gentlemanly nature is very obviously only an act, this is one of the most illogical pairings I feel. I dont use the phrase a lot, but Ciel x Sebastian honestly feels like a crack ship, which makes it all the weirder that it's so popular.

I understand that but Japanese gets annoying. Plus the English actors give more variety. Not to be rude but most anime's sound like they are voiced by 3-4 people in all.
As an anime watcher Im happy to see a main character really grey or closer to black compared to other anime series. Classical shounens have same kind of mains, innocent, wants to save everyone, doing ridiculously foolish things without logical reasons (Naruto, Emma, Izuku and etc) . Ciel has no connection with them, he is really dark grey character (Like Light). Lizzy and his servants are important to him, it shows he can love people and he is a real human with emotions on the other hand, he is cruel too, he can do something bad if it is benefical for him. What Im trying to say is, he isn't typical main character of other series, realistic, tend to harm others if its benefical for him as most people would do.

3:03 this is what I would summarize Ciel's relationship with Sebastian as. Ciel's kinda screwed now. Maybe at the moment when he met Sebastian he was like "fuck it all, I got nothing else going on, lemme just sell my soul to a demon". But after all we've seen of him in the manga, he's developed so much and gained new relationships and a place in life, however, that deal is still there and sooner than later he gonn get devoured by a demon and it's as if he never existed. (Also I think in this song, the full moon is a representation of Sebastian). This whole song covers Ciel's despair. Further evidence for my proposal is the visual imagery given in the ending credits to Book of Circus. Sebastian is literally a demon in disguise in more ways than one. Ciel thinks he's the king, but he's just another pawn in Sebastian's sick game. But I dunno, daz my opinion. There’s one thing I will protect, it’s the innocence they all neglect: Ciel will protect the mostly hated and neglected lizzy. At all costs, he loves her. (When I say neglected I mean by the fan base because I see a lot of hate on my girl :( )
I can hear a voice, like a melody. Rivaling the silence, for one I feel I am free: He hears Sebastian. He’d calling out to him after saving him from the cruel nightmare he bared. He feels free from the chains that wrapped him for the month he was in captivity. However, at the time he still doesn’t expect the chains that will wrap around him once the contract is further along.
Maybe there’s a chance, a way out of this cruel and deadly dance. But at what cost?: He speculates that there might be an escape to all his misery. Other than Sebastian at least. But, what use would it be? Sebastian’s already there. He wouldn’t want everything to go to waste.
Again the full moon, is lost to the night: Sebastian is gone. He left. He walked into the night to never be seen again.

I know this comment is old but Ceil might have broke out of the contract. Because in the Black Butler version of Alice and Wonderland there is a scene when Ceil briefly turns into an adult. When turned an adult the pentagram on his eye was gone. Since the pentagram is gone im assuming that he somehow got out of the contract.
The lyrics speaks for what's happening in the manga. It makes me so emotional. This is what the Ciel we've been reading/watching has been going through. My love for Ciel Phantomhive grows with every chapter. Every little development in his story and character...They suck me in. So entrancing and damn, I really love you, Ciel Phantomhive. Such a beautiful person.

Peter Phung It's pretty good. Though, I was a fan of the manga before the anime, so I'd recommend reading the manga first -- or at least I'd recommend starting with the manga. It's ongoing~

Peter Phung It's dark, but if you're okay with that then it should be good! Word of advice though: After the curry arc the anime strays from the manga plot BIG TIME, so if you don't want filler skip the first season after the curry arc, and skip the second season (total filler...some argue it's even fanfiction-y, and not the good kind is what people who don't like it petition. Watch at your own risk.), and go straight to season 3 which is Book of Circus. There's also plenty of OVAs you can watch at any time. =) Book of Murder directly follows Circus btw. ^.~
Peter Phung It's good, but skip season 2, as it's anime-original and doesn't follow the manga. And sucks. So if you're going to watch it, Go Season 1, then Book of Circus (practically Season 3), then Book of Murder.

I've loved this dub ever since I heard it after BOC came out, but listening to it now again after the latest reveal in the manga, and the line of "Praise your palette of lies, for it's a masterpiece that you have created" is chilling concerning the Two Ciels Theory. So beautifully done, you can just feel the weight of Ciel's choice and his sorrow. I love both versions, but I highly prefer this one.

I don't know why, but I really like the melody of this song. Mixed with your amazing voice and it just sounds perfect. The song sounds so flowy, and so sad, but with an almost pop and upbeat tune at the same time. I really don't know how to describe it but this is just extraordinary!

I *love* Yana's artstyle and tbh, I don't have any ships in the Kuro fandom but I don't really love this one.
The reason is, at first glance it looked to me like Ciel is dead and I for some reason hate any artwork -even if it's by Yana- where Ciel is portrayed as just food or looks dead.

So as much as I like her artstyle and color choices I can't bring myself to *really love* those kind of art works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Honestly considering the dynamic they have, namely the pact's rules, as well as Sebastian (moreso in the manga where you can see his inner thoughts) seeming to despise Ciel and strongly look forward to the day he can eat him, as well as the fact his gentlemanly nature is very obviously only an act, this is one of the most illogical pairings I feel.
I dont use the phrase a lot, but Ciel x Sebastian honestly feels like a crack ship, which makes it all the weirder that it's so popular.

As an anime watcher Im happy to see a main character really grey or closer to black compared to other anime series. Classical shounens have same kind of mains, innocent, wants to save everyone, doing ridiculously foolish things without logical reasons (Naruto, Emma, Izuku and etc) . Ciel has no connection with them, he is really dark grey character (Like Light). Lizzy and his servants are important to him, it shows he can love people and he is a real human with emotions on the other hand, he is cruel too, he can do something bad if it is benefical for him.
What Im trying to say is, he isn't typical main character of other series, realistic, tend to harm others if its benefical for him as most people would do.

3:03 this is what I would summarize Ciel's relationship with Sebastian as. Ciel's kinda screwed now. Maybe at the moment when he met Sebastian he was like "fuck it all, I got nothing else going on, lemme just sell my soul to a demon". But after all we've seen of him in the manga, he's developed so much and gained new relationships and a place in life, however, that deal is still there and sooner than later he gonn get devoured by a demon and it's as if he never existed. (Also I think in this song, the full moon is a representation of Sebastian). This whole song covers Ciel's despair. Further evidence for my proposal is the visual imagery given in the ending credits to Book of Circus. Sebastian is literally a demon in disguise in more ways than one. Ciel thinks he's the king, but he's just another pawn in Sebastian's sick game.
But I dunno, daz my opinion.
