Shipshewana is a cool little town. Blue Gate is a great place to eat but if you go to the diner on the corner of 5 and 20 the locals will look at you like you are from another planet . Lol

Amish area, should have amazimg food.....including desserts!!! One week warranty work, that is great. We took our rig to Camping World (3 1/2 years ago), brand new for warranty work. It took them 3 months to get the approvals with the warranty company, and work done.

I guess I missed you we were in Anderson and Indianapolis Indiana . Friday through Monday. Last weekend. I looked at every RV and 5th wheel for 1800 miles. Our daughter was rained out from work from that massive rain in solar field in Indiana.we live near Tulsa Ok.
Well, you guys are not too far from me here in Indiana! Oh I love shipshewana, the shops, food. My kids always taking Amish buggy rides too.

I can remember going 600 with my best bud in the seat beside me, when we ran the west coast.
Got a solid line on a FL-70 yesterday...we might have one more piece of the puzzle.
Good luck with the warranty work....lake Michigan has some cool shore line if it's not to cold or to far out of your way.

We are going to Red Bay in the spring to get our warranty work done. Rain and unpacking our toad is one reason we chose our class A. Blue Ox is quick on easy. 😉 That would be a different experience renting a house....Looks like a decent place to stay for the week for sure. Agree with the nice place to drink your coffee.!
Glad you are getting your Rv fixed under the warranty. And nice you are meeting up with Alicia. That toll sounds good. I remember seeing the Amish in Michigan somewhere but I can’t remember the town. It was cute seeing their horse and buggies. It looks like you stayed in a nice house. The lake looked nice. Hope you had a great time while waiting for your Rv. We passed you right at 322/422 as you were leaving Hershey. That rig sure looks suite going down the road. Glad you enjoyed the RV show. My wife and I hovered around your booth Saturday at the show. You were busy chatting with some folks and I didn’t want to stick my nose in. I also thought I recognized your friends Aaron and Tina (Jonesing to travel) right outside your booth that day.

Idea maybe as a contingency plan have a reciever installed on the smart car then you could put a small cargo basket and action packer there safe travels
We've actually considered that....but we just haven't gotten around to putting it together. It would give us a place to haul our bikes too!

I live in Shipshe! The Blue Gate has a nice Bakery too. The "Amish Crack" is the donuts at Rise & Roll bakery in Middlebury.
We were at Rise &Roll a couple of weeks ago and they did not have their signature donuts. They had run out of powdered sugar. 😭 But, the donuts we had were delicious.

Was hoping to see you guys at Hershey but did not….what my wife and I did do was buy our first toy hauler camper. We ordered and hopefully get in January and plan to take on our first trip next summer. We are retiring next June and will be doing lots of trips after. Wonder what type of Driver License I need to tow a large 5th wheel behind a HDT like yours. In Texas, Class B non CDL allows to tow only up to 10k #, I believe.

Hope they get everything ironed out ASAP. I have to admit I was disappointed to see they use Lippert jacks on a coach that big. Not a Lippert fan.
They got most everything done. Not many options in the RV industry....everyone seems to use the same components.

Wow, just a few items, nothing serious and they are going to have your rig for a week...Sheesh. Hope they told you that before you came, so you knew what to expect. Sounds like more than small items to fix/repair.
To be fair Mike, we had some paint imperfections that they needed to address, so we planned on giving them the rig for a week at paint. They took care of the fit and finish items in a couple of days and then we moved out for the next week.

No, we don't stop at weigh stations since we're not commercial.

That's the St Joseph River Steven. It was running rather high and fast so we didn't put the kayaks in the water!
