EDCO Waste & Recycling of National City, CA

Located just north of Chula Vista, you'll find the city of "Naturally Shitty," I mean "Nasty City" I mean National City. Founded in 1881 National City is among one of the oldest cities in San Diego County and also California State. It's age sure does show it's beauty.
The reason I say that is because National City isn't the nicest place in San Diego, it's old, run down and it's located just a couple blocks away from Market and Imperial (ghetto land). National City can have it's shady and sketchy parts to it. The area has a bad reputation of high crime levels and gang related activity (at night that is). But during the day it's durable, as long as you don't piss off someone or give someone a dirty look. Luckily I work in a nicer area of National City so I don't have to worry to much about that.
Despite the crime rates and the border line poverty standard of living National City is known for many good things. Such as it's home to the freight yards, and also the NAVY docks which bring in a lot of commerce, revenue and our sailors back home from deployment.
This project has been in production since April of last year. For the last year my schedule has been pretty much everywhere so finishing up some projects seemed like a pain in the rear for me. But now with my availability now somewhat open I was able to finish the project. It was mainly that green waste guy I was really waiting on.
National City just like many other cities in the South Bay have EDCO as their exclusive trash hauler. However, next to Poway National City is one of the last cities to offer manual green waste to their customers. The city is divided up into a four day collection schedule. On the fifth day (friday) the drivers are sent to Bonita. I've actually filmed some of these drivers in Bonita so they were familiar with me. Also the amount of drivers operating in one day seems to fluxate between days. There's usually two drivers for both trash and recycling and one driver for yard waste. I was able to get all the drivers with the exception of one trash driver
As a discretion to all UA-cam viewers I must inform you, if after viewing this video you make plans or decisions to travel to National City to see these trucks, I must warn you be careful. The residents are super watchful and they WILL report you to the police for beliefs of suspicious activity. One man followed me and came up to me and started questioning me and accused me of taking pictures of homes so I could rob them. (Did I mention Burglaries are a problem in this city). Everything cleared up after I showed him some clips of JUST THE TRUCK. (Homie don't wanna go to prison). I must warn you to be careful for your safety.
In all I'm really pleased on how this video came out. I might do a little more filming of the green waste in the summer before National City plans to automatize the green waste like they did in North County and the unincorporated areas.
