Have you ever heard the phrase “Under promise and over deliver” before?
You’re opening packs and saying this card is $4,000, that card is $10,000 , the next card is $35,000. You aren’t even quantifying it.
You are way, WAY off. Most of those cards are a couple of hundred bucks at best, even in high grade. Yes , some of those cards in PSA 10 are worth big money, but for you to imply every single card you pulled is PSA 10 is laughable. Most 1986 Fleer basketball, even straight from the wax pack, are PSA 8. There is a reason 10’s command big money. They are insanely difficult to find.
I echoed this...The card alone isn’t a “$10,000 card” Plus Dave knows cards so I’m curious why he was throwing those numbers out. I did see that PSA was there, I’d be curious what some of the cards graded. Also...it did look like the majority of the box was centered pretty well. It would’ve been terrible if you got a bunch of Miscuts with that high of a price tag.
@@skipthebase It isn't just the centering you have to worry about ( which was poor on every sticker shown as was typically the case ). Another common problem with these cards which can't be evaluated in this video is chipping along the bright red borders/corners. Fleer's quality control was poor when these cards were produced making it very risky to spend big money on unopened packs.

How many time did he say, that’s a $10,000 card, $,3000 $5,000 card...Sure...MAYBE if you get a PSA 10 which is CRAZY hard to get. With the way they were handled and not sleeved I’d be shocked if any came back 10’s. Still fun to see an 86 opened.

@@rockydelone3042 Then he said it’s worth a lot cause of the “low print run” which is also not true. Johnny Moore is worth a lot as a PSA 10 due to finding a Moore centered. Where it lays on the 86 sheet makes it tough to find 50/50 centering. Same with the Dominique Wilkins. Both are insanely tough to find PSA 10s of. Not due to the “print run”

@Hey Hey I think he said somewhere in the video that PSA was actually there on site in which case I’m sure that they graded a few of the main ones there but I didn’t see them jump in and grade anything

Anxiety opening up those packs 😆 with multiple hands handling them, I would of used some sort of gloves to avoid nail/surface scratch or oils.

@@Phaustin Yes it does matter on these wax cards. These wax cards are much more different than the cards that they make now. Once you have your prints on these wax cards you can't take it off.

I had the Jordan rookie new out of the box in 86 sold it a year later for 25 bucks. I was 12 that was a lot a money to a kid in those days but I think about how if I wasn't so young and dumb i would have put it in a vault.

Ppl are hating and I understand that Dave might be over valuing some the cards unless they did actually grade out to 10’s witch isn’t likely but the bigger picture is it’s helping charities and it’s helping himself w the exposure and generosity so really instead of nit picking everything. I paused the video at 18 seconds then read the comments and exited out of the video. I can’t stand click baiting.
Every sticker shown was off center which was a common problem with this set so they won't realize the prices he kept saying which is for PSA 10's. Not even close. Many of the regular cards shown also had centering issues so PSA 10 won't happen for them either. Another problem with this set is chipping along the edges/corners in that bright red border area which again prevents attaining PSA 10's or 9's. Fleer's quality control with these cards was poor back in the day which makes it risky to spend big money on unopened packs.
If anyone believes that this box was not opened and resealed for hype also invested in Derek Carr . .

It is pretty cool, but none of the card savers were marked and then he mixed all the Jordans together at the end. Some of the charities probably got switched out. ha In either case, sell your Jordans, because Silver will be on the Moon Soon!!!

I love how he inflated the value of Johnny Moore to 10k! That card in Gem Mint 10 from the best grader isn't worth anywhere near that... come on man, it's cool what you did but don't make everything into a fairytale. The Jordan is the only one that is worth several thousand after grading and none of those MJ cards were Gem Mint to be honest. Now don't get me wrong I would love to have ANY of those MJs that is my dream card... if you wanna make my day but I'm nobody so I know that's a pipe dream
Just say you know NOTHING about this market at all. 1st off the Johnny Moore he was stating the value as if it was to be graded and then received a PSA 10 grade. Which is a dumb way to say it cause its very hard to get a 10 on that card but it for sure has a chance. Also, the last 3 sales of the Johnny Moore card in a PSA 10 have been OVER $25,000 with the last one selling at auction just days ago on 12/17/2022 for over $31,000. 2nd you say the Jordan is the only one worth several thousand and once again you are ignorant. There are dozens of cards from this set in high grade that bring several thousands of dollars many well over $8,000 even still that the market has declined for its all time highs by more then 60%. I guarantee you that dozens of cards from this box would grade a 10. Man the ignorance in your post is laughable.
