My idea would be an RPG like DC Universe online, or Fusionfall. You can create a custom character from any of the main 12 olympian Gods and you go to camp, interact with familiar characters from the books and go own your own quest ala Hogarts Legacy and depending on what Godly parent you chose at the beginning you'd have x type of powers, maybe a skill tree that you unlock more of as you progress.
Story spoilers ahead Yeah, this would be sick, but if we’re wishing for anything I would also like the option of all the other gods/goddesses that they added cabins for at the end of the PJO series

Oh my gods, you're not allowed to pump me up this much. I am SO adding an RPG Percy Jackson game to my list of video ideas. Like, just imagine getting to interact with all the different characters at Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter, going on quests for each of them, a SUPER hard bonus quest in Tartarus where your life automatically drains with time and you have to keep going back to the Phelgathon to recharge it. Maybe you can randomly encounter the Hunters of Artemis anywhere on the map because they're always travelling. Maybe you get item rewards from different characters for completing quests for them. Imagine getting to see how each of these characters talks and what kind of trouble they get into in video game form OMG. I NEED THIS. As someone who started out making video game content before I made PJO content, I would LOVE to see PJO video game lore. And using footage of gameplay in the background of my videos so I have an excuse to play for hours on end while also contributing to my channel... THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME!
Here’s my ideas/Elaborating on yours (I know I’m 9 months late) 1. LEGO Game The game would have Camp Half-Blood as a hub world. You’d go to the Big House and speak with the Oracle and green mist would appear. Then you’d be allowed to select one of the five original Percy Jackson books. Each book would have six levels (30 levels in total) the game would have all the major players of the series in its roaster with a good couple side characters thrown in there as well. After that there still be side quests in camp that you can do for other characters. 2. RPG GAME You’d start by making your own demigod. You would design them, decide their Goldy parent (When you decide there godly parent there will be a link to Rick’s website so you can take the test if you wanted your character to be authentic to you) . Once you create your character you’ll arrive at camp and meet characters from the books and some new original characters. You’ll play a game of capture the flag, some sword practice before you are offered a quest by the Oracle (I know this sounds quite similar to TLT) . You decide who to take on your quest and you’ll set off. Your choices will decide how the quest turns out, you could succeed, you could die, your partners could die or betray you. The choices are up to you.
I started learning game dev because I wanted to make an open world game that takes place in camp half blood. I'm currently just learning the basics of game dev but I'm eager to start working on it now that I see there are other people who want a PJO video game. I think a sort of combination of Dark Souls and Zelda would work well. You could have the gameplay be in a very similar style to Dark Souls where it’s linear, you’re fighting monsters and collection souls and finding useful items, etc. but the story is told in a very similar way to the beginning of Tears of the Kingdom, where you’re doing stuff, and as you reach certain parts, there are new scenes, and there could be things like a fight when you reach the tower and fight the dog thingy in the first book (I forgot what it was called ;-;)
My three ideas are Zelda like (puzzles and combat) Warrirors style game (multiple playable characters and have fun destroying enemies) Hack and Slash (complex but rewarding combat)

I just said to a friend that i would love a percy jackson game, a minute later, this video popped up on recommended all because i watched the teaser for the percy jackson tv series lmao, would love an open world type game, and where we can make our own character and we get a cabin based on questions asked and how we answer is what god or goddess would be our character's parent
The only problem I have with a lot of those comparisons is that those other ips is that they are all big film franchises. Also we’re out of the age where everything gets a licensed game. The Percy Jackson show will have to be huge and I mean HUGE for this to happen. Which could end up being the case. And like I’ve said before I’d love a Lego game because it would show off all the characters different abilities and potential puzzle solving. The most likely possibility to me is Percy being a guest character in some Disney crossover game. Thou a full game is possible for a tv show as seen with franchises like Avatar:TLA for better or worse.

I think that the best idea would be kind of like a blox-fruits style RPG and leveling game. You can host raids where you kill minor gods, and olympian raids where you face off against olympians for loot. You defeat different foes to gain levels, and theres a boss for every few levels you go to. The starter island can be Camp Half-Blood, and the boss for that island could be luke or chiron. The second island could be the forest surrounding camp, where you kill dryads. The third island could be Medusa's emporium, where you mainly kill gorgons and the boss would be medusa. Medusa could petrify you for 2 seconds each time you're facing her front body, etc. We could buy boats using in-game money which you get from killing foes. With boats, there could even be a small chance a Shrimpzilla would spawn, kinda like a sea beast. You could use money to respawn as a child of a god, inheriting some abilities, and use more money to respawn as a child of an Olympian. Each god's children would get different abilities, like Posideon's children having the ability to summon hurricanes, or Zeus and Hermes's children have the ability to fly. You could even add different materials to the game, like Stygian Iron, or Celestial Bronze to craft different weapons, like nico's sword, riptide, the gun which shoots celestial bronze bullets, etc. You could have different boss drops, like defeating Athena, which has a small chance of dropping Annabeth's invisibility cap. For tartarus, people could kill 500 NPCs to open up a portal to tartarus, which drains your energy by a lot. Each accessory, weapon or power would have different skills, taking up energy, and each of the skills requires mastery. You could even add a PVP mechanic, having different players face off against each other using their weapons or abilities, maybe even making a bounty mechanic, where if you kill someone, you get money or loot, like the way Gaea issued bounties on the seven. Maybe even add in an easter egg where the children of gods cannot read the bounty posters, or make the words on the bounty posters be continously moving around. Overall, theres a lot of potential for a Percy Jackson video game, and this is just how I would do it.
I'd love to see a video gam, an open-world RPG, where you don't play as characters like Percy or Jason. Instead, you take on the role of a new demigod. Depending on which god is your parent, your initial player stats will vary. I imagine choosing the godly parent would be like picking a class choice in Baldur's Gate 3, and perhaps it could be set in a different historical time period. Maybe during war world 2 perhaps?
What would really do well would be a bild you own story type of game sort of like the Harry Potter game it would be an original story but your character is specific to you, work especially well because of the amount of fan made original charter and self inserts. It would be cool if you could be any type of demi God from and can use any type of weapon even gun and can have an aray of companions to accompany you on your quest but if you want you could do co-op with friends.
Because Percy Jackson isn’t the huge IP that Harry Potter or spider man is, I think a smaller scope rpg would be way cooler. Like being able to pick your parent and design your character and maybe have camp half blood as a free roam hub that you can use to go on different linear quests/missions that are story driven.

Pretty easy multiplayer if your not playing as one of the main Percy Jackson characters, certain areas could be locked to certain demigods ( so Poseidon kids cant go to sky areas like Aeoleus' palace from the lost hero ) or they could just be more dangerous. For DLC you could have the ability to make roman demigods as well as Greek ( if that's not already in the base game ) or it could be an update. The looks of the characters and the world could be based off the show, but there could be a setting to make the characters look like there book counterparts ( you could even add this option for the movie looks though that's completely unnecessary and would not be on many fans Wishlist it could be funny to make jokes about how bad they were ). Edit: Other bosses could be important Monsters ( like the Minotaur ) from without the series. Other dlc could be play as a god turned mortal, survive Tartarus or the Argo Two and the ancient lands from heroes of Olympus could be DLC. Plus small Magnus Chase and Kane Chronicles DLC or at least references if of course they don’t eventually get there own games ( which I think they should ). If they make a Lego game though i hope they have a scene where Tyson puts on sunglasses ( like they movie ones ) realizes he cant see and throws them off. Again to make fun of the movies.
i agree with the first two but the last one is just not gonna work. with the heroes journey and quests structure of pjo a linear rpg would make a lot more sense, since in a open world you have to make a full game map, so like, what would that be? you can’t make the entire united states and exploration doesn’t work with the plot. a linear rpg would work tho, if you don’t know what a linear rpg is then think of halos campaign or plague tale with sort of levels and small maps of the places you go thru

I played it on the DS. It was a flop because it's the same people who did the Nintendo handheld Spiderman games. Though I would actually enjoy a Percy Jackson game a la Assassin's Creed. Stuff that would focus on the historical background in terms of the demigod lore to build a new story focusing on your created character and having connection to the past and present for the lore.

And you get to choose which character you want. Like..before Grover and Annabeth come to scene, if you choose them..there is a side quests in Camp Half-Blood or even a backstory with Thalia for Grover. I believe there is a Disney Smash Bros game in the works, but it’s just rumours for now. The thing I wanna say is that if it happens I think Percy would be a kinda Link clone if he were put in said game.

If they make a Lego game though i hope they have a scene where Tyson puts on sunglasses ( like they movie ones ) realizes he cant see and throws them off. Again to make fun of the movies.

i agree with the first two but the last one is just not gonna work. with the heroes journey and quests structure of pjo a linear rpg would make a lot more sense, since in a open world you have to make a full game map, so like, what would that be? you can’t make the entire united states and exploration doesn’t work with the plot. a linear rpg would work tho, if you don’t know what a linear rpg is then think of halos campaign or plague tale with sort of levels and small maps of the places you go thru

I played it on the DS. It was a flop because it's the same people who did the Nintendo handheld Spiderman games.
Though I would actually enjoy a Percy Jackson game a la Assassin's Creed. Stuff that would focus on the historical background in terms of the demigod lore to build a new story focusing on your created character and having connection to the past and present for the lore.

@@ThatPJOGuy Ofcourse, i always imagine Percy Jackson game as something like..mix of GTA games and WII Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows part 2, with the design to look like the actors or voice actors. Imagine getting a side by side accurate game to the upcoming show. You finish the show, get some snacks, on your computer or PlayStation and control the MAIN THREE! And you get to choose which character you want. Like..before Grover and Annabeth come to scene, if you choose them..there is a side quests in Camp Half-Blood or even a backstory with Thalia for Grover. If you were some of the gods you can see how the main three made the deal..GOSH! If i only had that much money!
I would hope it would be a lot like hogwarts legacy and there will be different quests for witch ever god you pick to be the son/daughter of and if you pick let’s say aeries you get the spear he gave Clair and if you pick Poseidon you get the sowrd riptide.

I believe there is a Disney Smash Bros game in the works, but it’s just rumours for now. The thing I wanna say is that if it happens I think Percy would be a kinda Link clone if he were put in said game.
In the works? Dam I need that game when it comes out. Link is actually a good example of how Percy could play like, tho I feel Percy would be quicker with his attacks and have less spam and more abilities that'd power him up, kinda like Hero in smash.
