Gotta make that Bo Bichette trade. Mookie is a right fielder. The infield experiment was cute but we need him in the outfield if we're being serious. Max being out has hurt, as well. He was playing great. It's always something with this team. When you're constantly moving guys around the diamond, taking them in and out, sending them back down, etc., there's no consistency and that destroys confidence. The Dodgers have long abandoned the human aspects of the game and they pay for it against honest teams.
Bo would bat 9th in even this crappy line up. Pass.

These guys need to shorten and level their swings. They are homerun happy and pop up alot. I would punt Van Scoyoc. These hitting droughts happen way to often.
I totally agree everyone they come to bat they are trying to hit a home run. They need to go back to basics and go for bases hits. Home runs will come.
Glasnow did not look into this game at all. Freddie is not having a great year. Andy pages has gone cold.
He wasn't that good the game before either, after looking virtually unhittable most every game. The last 2 years Freddie has been incredible. In fact his numbers were far better than his career Averages. So, I don't think we can expect him hitting.320. to .330, but he is such a great hitter I would be satisfied if he hits.300. Pages has got to forget about the" Hero" Ball, and he's not making solid contact. Seems the offense really went down as soon as Max got injured. It's painful watching the last half of the lineup hit.

Freddie is going to be 34 this year. People gotta realize he's not going to hit over .300 forever. Look at Paul Goldschmidt. He won MVP at age 34 in 2022. Then he slugged under .450 last year and this year he's terrible.
@@Nuccturnaal Yeah that's true. A lot of guys Acuna Jr. Carroll, Olson won't put up numbers anywhere close to last season. As far as Pages anybody else notice that there is a big flaw in his approach.. He stands erect, and is leaning forward, and constantly behind or under fastballs. He's gotta get more level on his swing, and think fastball first, or he's toast.
The Dodgers must get a legit power hitting third baseman and a shortstop. It's inconceivable that they are getting shut out of games. There's no fire in this club.
Dodgers really need to pick up their game..Runs win games. The team needs to be more than Betts, Ohtani and Freeman. We need the other guys in the line up pulling some runs. Consistency is a problem...

No, Mookie Betts is not a shortstop. Yes he can play there but not as good as 2nd or right field.

This is not a championship team. They are missing a string starter. Two good relievers and 3 bottom hitters are trash.

The snakes looked helpless against glasnow the first 5 or 6 innings but because he was in there so long with no help from the offense he was going to conceivably make a mistake.If the dodgers can't hit mediocre pitching they won't be there in the post-season.
Look, teams like the Dbacks and Padres, who are in the same division, are ALWAYS going to over perform when they play the Dodgers. Both teams have been beaten down by LA for so long that they have chios on their shoulders. Plus, the two teams actually have a lot of talent in their lineups. AZ and SD always have something to prove every time they are up against LA.

@@mikem3789that's the new reality for LA, especially after the Pads defeated them in the playoffs in '22. Ever since then, they're playing each game like they smell blood. The Dodgers are the better team on paper but each time they play, SD just goes over the top in their attempts to outplay. Now that the Dbacks have shown they can beat their hated rival and bully, they too will play extra hard against the Dodgers. This is something that any really good team that has been at the top for such a long time like LA has to contend with--every other team is trying to prove themselves against them.

The Dodgers have the same problems as always. They go into these droughts. I hate to say this, I live in Las Vegas, and watch a lot of Padres games, and I truly believe, that in spite of the Padres playing 500 ball, they may be the better team. How they got Arraez, is troubling, he would have been the perfect fit at 2nd base.

Stop penciling in your top 6 hitters at the top and leaving guys hitting around .200 7 through 9.
Mix Vargas and Pages somewhere between Smith, Hernandez and Muncy. That way the lineup is harder to navigate 1 through 8. There is a better chance to have runner on base when Mookie and Ohtani come up to bat. Right now it's hard to expect those two to drive in runs when 7-9 are all shitty.
Dodgers did the same thing on 5/1 with a score of 8-0 this team plays better on the road

But we're not really cruising in our division. Sure we're looking good on top, second place team is only two or three games over 500. The national League West looks like the weakest division at the moment. Dodgers should be at least eight more wins than what they have!

Dodgers are fine, they've been on a 13 day streak without a break. Only 4 teams are doing better than the Dodgers as of now.
It was embarrassing, two days in a row with next to zero offense with this star-studded cast. Is Shohei only trying to hit for percentage to get on base these days? Has he forgotten about home runs? If the line-up isn't doing jack, no one is going to bring you home, you are better off going yard. I hate to have to go through these home run hiatus of his, he is getting overtaken by people now. Judge started the season like crap and he has just overtaken Shohei with 14 home runs while Kyle Tucker is in the lead with 17. Playing small ball is all fine when the line-up is hitting well, but not when is like this. You got to crush that thing and get it out of here!
