This test proves what's suited for a female golfer. If a male with a faster swing speed tests these drivers the result are quite the opposite! I've tested them all and only speaking for me the darkspeed x is the longest driver! Heavier driver adds to the results I got! Great comparisons for ladies or men with slow swing speed but in my opinion men don't take these figures as gospel! The heavier cobra 20 yards dispersion is much more forgiving with the swing speed to suit shaft and head
Would be interesting to see smash factor in the stats …. Club speed into ball speed. Also, the stock shafts you are using were different weights. (flex?) Why are you testing equipment like this?
We want to give you guys a feel of what that driver is like in the stock shaft most golfers would use it in, it's not just about reviewing the head in the same shaft for us!
@@GolfalotTV you’re making a judgement about the performance of the club when the shaft you’re using is not necessarily right for you as the reviewer. If I bought a driver with an 70g x shaft It would be way to heavy and too stiff for me to get the club to perform. Would I be right to say to someone that the club wasn’t very good ? I just don’t see the point of testing / reviewing equipment when it’s not set up for you. Just my opinion.
If you believe you can spend yourself into a better game, then you obviously have more money than sense. The one good thing about this years models, is that they make last years models cheaper on the second hand market!
Funny that, I got the G430 max and it’s flying further through the air (15yds)and I’m 25yds longer than my G30. Same ball, standard Alta stiff ping shaft. It appears not only do I have more money than sense, but that you can infact spend yourself into a better game.

Like you, i suspect that the Ping is the best driver but the price rules it out for me. As you rightly point out, there's a poofteenth of nothing difference for we mugs but the price, AUD1100+, is just insane.
One of the reasons why the prices are so high is the huge amount of money that is given to marketing and big sponsorships. The customer ends up paying to sustain golf professionals careers!
I agree that the Dark Speed Max would have been the driver to use for comparison purposes. However, I loved your review and found it very well done and relevant. I own the original PING G430 MAX and would love to see a comparison between that and the 10K MAX version. I would be tempted to upgrade, but I doubt that the distance gains (if any) would be more than a few yards. For that matter, I doubt that dispersion would be drastically different. Maybe I am mistaken……please do the comparison for us! 👍😁👍 Again, thank you for a well thought out video.
Don't know whats happened to Callaway, my driver is the original Callaway GBB Epic with the sliding weights. Its the longest driver i have ever hit. A mate of mine got the Callaway Paradym last year. He let my hit it at the range one day, as it was and changed my own shaft into it. I couldn't get on with it at all with either shaft. Everything going left in the same setup as my own Epic. Last week i tested the new Callaway Smoke, same thing hated the feel and again everything away to the left fitter tried a few different settings and got it straight in the end but i felt like i was fighting it all the time, seemed to be too much work and over thinking on every shot to get it going straight. Not something you need out on the course. And again the feel was just awful. Feels more like a cobra than a Callaway.
You're comparing all the MAX models from Callaway, Taylormade and Ping.....wouldn't it make sense to include the Darkspeed Max instead of the Darkspeed X ? @@GolfalotTV

The best drivers of 2024 came out a few years ago. Only an idiot thinks drivers actually get better every year.

A test by Rick Shiels looking at the Ping Drivers over the last 8 yrs found very little difference in terms of forgiveness. Why would you upgrade ?

I always enjoy the club reviews from Golfalot and Georgina. While I'm not in the market for a driver, the Ping G430 would most likely be my choice.
