I loved this video. But I thought that you were going to cut your nails shorter. Can you do a video with your nails about the same length as your fingertips? Because that is how long my nails are. (And a bunch of other girls nails too.)
Elizabeth Malinowski Have a look at the picture in the start of the video. This IS the shortest I can cut my nails. I guess I could probably file the edges off so they're rounded and touching my finger all the way, but I like my nails square. If I cut my nails any shorter than in this video my fingers would bleed. I did this design on [fake] nails half this size in my blog though if you care to look in the description box :) xxx

Well, the nailpolish probibly dried on the water, so the orange stick would have picked up all the polish surrounding it. so that would be my reason but otherwhise you may need to use newer polishe.... Nithya .Varghese

I did watermarbling, every time i wanted to do petals, the nail polish stucks on my orange stick, but then i tried it again, and you don't need to do designs with the orange stick too in the water, you just need to do it on the top of the water ( i don't know if you understood me, because i suck at english, lol)

You can always try Jamberry Nail Wraps. Much easier to apply with no dry time or effort trying to get the swirls just right. Check them out at amycarter.jamberrynails.net

Please help me if u can. I do good with all these steps until it's time to put the tooth pick in to do your little designs, the moment I stick my toothpick into the water I don't even have time to try & make a pattern! Because the second the toothpick hits the water, all of the polish runs right up to it & just sticks to my toothpick in a gooey mess! It all just clings to the pick, I pull the pick from the water & there's no polish left in the cup at all, cuz its all clinging to that freaking pick. Can u tell me what I can do to get that to stop plz? Cuz I don't have the money to get my nails done. Thank u!

But I think maybe we're not doing it right, & I think we're going to try doing it on a much sturdier surface. I realized the place we had been doing it wasn't very stable, so I hope it works better next time. If it does, I'll put up a pic. Thanks again!

I have to agree with the person who said your short nails are my long nails...but it doesn't matter. Right now, I have \hose sticker things...you know, instant nail polish stuff...so I won't be trying this for a while, but after my airbrush job died less than a week after I got it even though I topcoated it twice, they can paint my nails white for me, & your tutorial can give me the great designs in this video. I usually hate black nail polish, but I'll make an exception for this.

I love this! guys the trick is the thinner nail polish works the best. try it out drop a drop of each of your nail polish in a cup of water if it sinks put it away if it expands use it. have all of your lids unscrewed. everything ready you gotta go fast . it will dry fast you might have to only do a couple nails at a time until you get the trick to it. Another trick is when you take the brush out to put a drop in the water tilt the bottle so you can get alot on the brush. If not you will wait for it to drip in the water and it will dry to fast. Play with it its fun... messy but fun. take the time to tape your nails real good you will regret if you dont..
I absolutely love your tutorial!!! I hate to see the nasty comments about nail length. People, like you, offer their knowledge, for free, on how to do something, then have to see that in the comments; it is not right. I do not understand why people can't just be thankful for being allowed to gain knowledge on how to do something so neat looking! In all honestly though, It would not have matter if you had said long, short, medium, skinny, fat, or whatever, it seems as if there will always be negativity thrown out there. I like this video very much .The place where I'm living I can't get liquidy polish so I can't do water marble . So I poured so water and mixed with nail polish . But after I mixed my original color have gone instead its coming light . Do u have any way for making it liquid ?
She can say whatever she wants she owns this channel and if there are kids who are too young to see the apparent "bad words" they shouldn't even be on youtube there is alot of worse things on youtube than just this one word your worried kids will see on this video.

try to use sally hansen nail polish.. i dont know what it is but some of the nail polishes expand well while others just stay in weird dots on the surface. cx i have had the same problem but it seems that the sally hansen ones work well [:
Ok, I have watched several different videos made from different people and not one explains how to the polish OFF your fingers afterwards. Also, if you prep your fingers with tape, how long do you have to wait to peel of the tape without messing up the polish? Does this method dry relatively quickly? Any help is greatly appreciated! I have tried and tried to do the marble on my nails and never get it right. I have tried differnet water temps, different nail polish, nope. When I try the designs the polish clumps or sticks to what ever I am using to make the designs. Then when I pull my nails out there is just a blob and no design. I really do love the way they look though and hope someday I get it right.

I do use new polishes, but i guess some polishes aren't suitable for water marbling :(

It could be because your take to long putting in the drops of nail polish you have to do it all pretty fast

Tina Lancaster You could try putting vasaline on the pick where it will touch the nail polish, or wetting it beforehand with water.

I take my tape off directly after, you just have to go slowly when peeling the tape from around the sides of your nails! ;) Hope this helped!
