I grew up right above a pretty good sized pond. I couldn’t wait as a kid for it to freeze over. We would take the largest pieces of gravel and throw them out onto it. I sure miss those times. It's cute and very heart warming to see a boy grow up with his dad or grandpa. My grandpa died when I was very young and that was my last living grandparent. Oh how I wish I could hear my ol mummsie(grandma) humming and singing my baby self to sleep rip granny and to the granny and grandpa I never met cause they died. I'm tearing up cause I wish my dad and grandpa was in my life more. This reminds me of when I was a kid and my dad was big and strong, now he's old and weak and going cenial(however you spell it). I only really hung out with him when I was a kid he wasn't there for me especially when I really needed him(I'm crying so fucking hard) but now I'm trying to spend as much time with him because he's my dad. I got in an argument with him today. It really stemmed from the anger and negativity I have towards him for not being there for me but he's still alive and here and he's my dad and no matter what I love him more than the world. He's getting older and health severely declining, now that I'm older and spending time with him it's like I'm hanging out with a shell of who he was and I'm seeing him pretty much die before my eyes. I'm so fucking sad 😭 and crying. I love you dad and always will
