@RandalThor19 Your point about not knowing when games for Xbox's games are coming was great I feel the same way. I feel like Ive been waiting and trying to keep the faith and be optimistic about games coming but with no info and transparency my faith is starting to wear thin.
I don’t mind the price hike as we have options to pay it or pay a subscription and play it there instead unlike we do on PlayStation at the moment
Playstation plus is a subscription so let's not play the ignorant game. But if you prefer gamepass over the ps plus then that's understandable

There will absolutely be blood and gore in Starfield. They like to keep that stuff on the backburner for reveal trailers. Fallout, Skyrim, etc have all been rated M and had increasingly more detailed blood, dismemberment etc.
Is it fair or reasonable for Microsoft to charge 70 for Starfield, Motorsport and Redfall when they were all due out in 2022 and would have had 60 dollar price tags in 2022? But are now pushed back to 2023 and are also now being given higher price tags?
I haven't payed full price for a game in a long time the only time I do is for Sony exclusives
Has rand watched any Indiana, Indiana Jones stealthy, outsmarting the enemy? No he generally gets into trouble and to get out of it uses environment and fights his way out. First film running from the natives, fighting the bad guys on tanks ,alot of him fighting even in the new movie trailer he uses his whip to fend off many bad guys they all pull out their guns and shoot, not exactly stealthy and outsmarting them.
At least they are for next gen only games, until now games have been $70 for cross gen games

Due to how expensive life got the past couple years i dont buy new games. I wait for price drops or heavily discounted used games. Bought red dead 2 a few months after release for 40 bucks used.
I’m not sure the blockbuster & Netflix comparison is a helpful one in this situation lol.
I also like when games require you to approach a combat with some thinking/planning. The thing is, Calisto constantly throws enemies at you from nowhere and everywhere making it very hard to even know when and where fights will happen. There are some moments where it works, where you can use the environment and plan around the encounters, but those are very limite. it's so frustrating man... so frustrating...
Xbox Games in Canada are already the same price as Sony, so are they more or no change.

What does not releasing games in 2022 have anything to do with pricing for games in 2023? I don't understand the logic behind saying Microsoft can't charge more because they didn't release big games in 2022.

Games have been hard to make for decades, this isn't an excuse to raise prices, quality, design, creation is all relative. Modern game engines make games easier to make, compared to passed gens. MS raised prices, cause Sony did, that is all. I will except, game price should be based on length, scope, quality, details, story, voice acting, and complexity.
Jez should be the one to debate Colin on a pod about his hot takes (there's been some calling out lately). Colin would eat anybody else on the Xbox side alive, they're either too emotional, incoherent or conciliatory. Jez is the cool headed, well informed, arsehole (meant in the nicest way) we need to deal with him... be a big show.
Organic growth is only possible if you're planning to cultivate relationships over many years. This was something that Sony could easily do when it destroyed its competition and Xbox rolled over for a gen. Would that even be possible with an hyper aggressive, money hatting, market leader? NVM if your timeline and business targets even allowed for it. If you have the $$$ to circumvent that hyper aggressive, money hatting, market leader, for a much greater goal... why wouldn't you?
Redfall is the only game I care about for next year that's been announced.
Me too kinda. That’s because I know the aiming and shooting in Redfall will be awesome. First person shooting in RPG’s(Starfield) on controller is usually kinda wonky.
The digital market already saves these greedy publishers so much money on manufacturing and shipping. They don't need to cut in retailers anymore, either. And yet in a world where supply is endless and costless (literally), games have become more broken and more expensive than ever.
Make it make sense.

There isn't a gamepass price increase coming it's the friends and family tier that will be $25. GAMEPASS STAYS AT $15.

Price increase going into 2023 when their next-gen slate finally starts releasing. Also a lot of people's xbox live gold to game pass transfer will have expired so they'll pay full price for GP ultimate. I remember people transferred 3 years of gold to game pass back in 2020 and thought they were getting a great deal. MSFT knew the whole time that those people were never going to be playing Starfield, Redfall, Hellblade II, etc. during that timeline. They can do what they want but kinda treating their users like shit by overpromising and under-delivering and now hiking prices right when they finally have their games ready to release.
Wasn't it kinda of stupid to lock yourself into 3 years of gamepass when none of the game's had come out and we was in the middle of a pandemic? Seems anyone angry at that should put part of the blame on themselves.
Price increase is ridiculous. Movie production has increased as well and I can still buy a movie ticket or a 4k Blu-ray WITH digital/ Blu-ray disc included at a good price. $70 for unfinished AA games is stupid. But gamers will still buy.
Movie ticket prices have increased and Blu-ray - 4k ultra HD have increased in Price so thsi comment makes no sense.
Wrong. Movie tickets are anywhere from $8-$15. 4k Blu-ray’s with digital codes are as low as $15. This is down from when they came out at $40. Meanwhile games are a bigger industry than movies. You make no sense cause you didn’t support your wrong statement.

There will be alien creatures, but it is a reality base game. The game wll portray Space like how NASA and Space Odyssey movie does.

@@kevinlist3330 In other circumstances and with other companies I would normally agree with you. However when Microsoft tried to raise that price of xbox live not that long ago, there was such a backlash from the community and UA-camrs that they totally changed their decision in less than 24 hours

I'm not a billionare and I'm very much not pro union. Reason? Because I've been party of a union before and it was the absolute worst.

@@kevinlist3330 There is no reward for working hard since that gets you nothing more than the lazy people who do the bare minimum since everyone is given the exact same raise based only on hours work and not how hard you worked during those hours because of the CBA. The employer has a difficult time disciplining anyone because the union will protect them from anything short of murder. With my current employer the union members will be disciplined by then union if they give any advice or help the non-union members because thats "union knowledge" and the employees, who work for the same company, are not allowed to do a better job because of the union blocking that behind threat of termination.
@@kevinlist3330 The difference is that where I work the employees want the company to succeed and are interested in doing a good job. Having 3 union reps showing up and threaten to fire someone because they were asked what duct tap would be better to use in a specific instance is absurd and an abuse of union power. My brother is union and works at Boeing and nepotism and favoritism is a huge problem there, it is VERY much who you know, not what you know, and the phrase that is said on the shop floor is: "I'm not here to build an airplane, I'm here to build a pay check". Once employees are maxed out on their union wages its standard that their production drops off and its not uncommon to even find union employees sleeping on the job to pass time because they have no incentive to work harder any longer. With non-union labor, if you don't think you're being compensated fairly, you can shop you skills and get paid accordingly. Union labors can not do that.
