Elegua is the Orisha who controls everything. He is the owner of the crossroads, which is why he is attended to in the Lukumi religion so frequently. When you want to achieve something, you attend Elegua because he has to the capability of making your desires a reality or stalling your cause before it even starts. Elegua is the distributor of "Ashe", divine grace. He is not the devil but the opposite of God. He is great to petition to open your roads and protect you from negativity.

This is beautiful, thank you for this. I have two questions: are you able to tell a client which orisha holds their head? Also I was told that you have to be in pain to even try to to communicate to elegua or any orisha or else they won’t hear you but that didn’t sound right to me. Is it true?
Your intuition is correct that’s very wrong. Only a babalow, Iyanifa or Oriate in either Lukumi/Santeriá can tell you your guardian Ori. This is also done in a in person ceremony called Mano de orula/Cofa de orula. You cannot work with an orisha that you haven’t received in religious ceremony. You can only petition them for help which many people due through candles and prayer.
i don't even know why im here,im South African with an ancestral calling not long ago i was instructed to get the Red and Black beads and i was told what to do before i put them on and here i am learning of this Orisha
@@ShontelAnestasia here to confirm what you said. I went through the ceremony many years ago to receive my Orisha, as well as ceremonies to get my own Eleggua and Osun. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

First thing is to never call them dreadlocks. They are just locs & I can do a video on natural hair
